Santorum’s Shout Out to ThePulse2016.com’s Indiana Crisis Report Card

First the Perry campaign complained, then I learned the Walker campaign is complaining to Ohio activists about “Maggie’s misinformation,” and now this shout out from Rick Santorum. Thank you all those who read and share ThePulse2016.com on Facebook. Together we are making a difference!

Here’s Rick Santorum’s shout out from the Iowa State House touting his score on our Indiana Crisis report card:

So, I just want to share with you that if you’re looking for someone who has gone through that experience who has—they just did a score card of folks who responded to the Indiana crisis and we—we scored an A+. Let me assure you, not everyone else did, on that list, for the comments they made in fighting for the truth, not the perversion we saw the media try to ram down the American peoples’ throats about what Indiana and Arkansas were doing.

Remember, the Report Card was a snapshot in time of how candidates responded to what I believe (along with Rod Dreher, Ross Douthat and many others) was a seminal moment in American culture and politics: the moment when big corporations joined with the Left in redefining religious liberty as anti-gay license to discriminate. If your guy did not do well in that moment, here is what I would ask you: don’t excuse it, but push him to do better.  Because I guarantee the Left will give us many more opportunities.

Social conservatives also need to build new, effective, smart political institutions that define legislative goals (like the Marriage and Religious Freedom Act) and donate money as well as time and boots to candidates who fight for our goals. That’s the subject of my National Review online column today.
