Marjorie’s Media Pick of the Week: Rubio Flips Loaded Abortion Question onto Hillary

Throughout this election cycle the entire GOP field has gone on offense for unborn children!

A great example this week comes from Sen. Marco Rubio. While speaking at St. Anselm College in New Hampshire on Thursday, Rubio was asked a question that has tripped candidates in the past regarding when a human being deserves the protection of law.

Marco Rubio was flawless in his response. He clearly articulated his pro-life response and then calmly pointed out that Hillary Clinton holds a radical position on abortion. As has been the case in the past, the press frequently goes after pro-life candidates while ignoring pro-abortion candidates’ support for late-term abortion, taxpayer funding of abortion, and a host of other extreme positions. For example, during her time in the U.S. Senate, Clinton opposed even the Partial-Birth Abortion Ban. She also continues to speak out against the Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act, compassionate, common sense legislation to protect babies and women more than halfway through pregnancy.

Senator Marco Rubio is my pick of the week for his great answer and effort to expose the extreme pro-abortion position of Hillary Clinton.   The video and transcript are below.

Reporter: Senator, you’ve said you believe life begins at conception. Do you believe a fertilized egg has legal protections?

Rubio: I don’t know what you’re talking – I believe life is worthy of the protection of our laws. That’s what I believe. I believe that all life is worthy of the protection of our laws. I believe that it’s outrageous that Hillary Clinton supports partial-birth abortion which is a gruesome process that has been outlawed in the United States, but she supports it as a process that should be legal. I believe that an unborn child at 24 or 25 weeks who is viable outside the womb, it should not be legal to abortion them, Hillary Clinton believes it should. She’s in the minority on both of those issues. These are radical positions and I look forward to exposing them in the general election.

Marjorie Dannenfelser is the president of the Susan B. Anthony List, a national pro-life organization dedicated to electing leaders and advancing legislation to reduce and ultimately end abortion.
