Biden-Burisma Corruption Isn’t A ‘Right Wing Conspiracy Theory’ – Here’s What the Guardian and Washington Post Said About It…

President Trump’s legal team opened up a front on the Bidens during the Senate impeachment trial today – a far better venue for allegations against the former Vice President and his son than any “Ukrainian investigations” would have offered.

Parking the fact the Democrats have scored an own goal by impeaching President Trump and therefore allowing a Senate chamber and millions across America to hear the case against the Bidens, the known case against the father-son pair is a matter of forgotten fact.

As Pam Bondi – one of Trump’s lawyers – spelled out in the Senate Chamber; the UK Serious Fraud office had an open investigation into the former Ukrainian regime that included Burisma, the Ukraine energy company which Hunter Biden served on the board for.

In 2017, the Guardian – a leading left wing newspaper – wrote of the investigations and the Burisma-Biden link:

…almost two years had passed since the revolution and many Ukrainians had become disillusioned. The credibility of the United States was not helped by the news that since May 2014, Biden’s son Hunter had been on the board of directors of Burisma, Zlochevsky’s company.

The White House insisted the position was a private matter for Hunter Biden, and unrelated to his father’s job, but that is not how anyone I spoke to in Ukraine interpreted it. Hunter Biden is an undistinguished corporate lawyer, with no previous Ukraine experience. Why would a Ukrainian tycoon hire him?

Hunter Biden failed to reply to questions I sent him, but he told the Wall Street Journal in December 2015 that he had joined Burisma “to strengthen corporate governance and transparency at a company working to advance energy security”. That was not an explanation that many people found reassuring. The Washington Post was particularly damning: “The appointment of the vice president’s son to a Ukrainian oil board looks nepotistic at best, nefarious at worst,” it wrote, shortly after Hunter Biden’s appointment. “You have to wonder how big the salary has to be to put US soft power at risk like this. Pretty big, we’d imagine.”

Despite the media insisting the Biden-Burisma thing is a “right wing conspiracy”, the left media was happy to cover the Biden corruption before it was clear he was running for President against Trump in 2020.
