KARDIAN: Biden Is No Police Ally

President Trump is absolutely right about Joe Biden: the presumptive Democrat nominee is an enemy of law and order.

While Biden is artful-enough of a politician to avoid openly calling for the dismantling of police departments across America, his proposed criminal justice reforms are destined to accomplish the same end result.

The 110-page “unity” platform that Biden recently released in conjunction with Senator Bernie Sanders would effectively defund law enforcement and leave our communities defenseless against crime.

“Democrats believe we need to overhaul the criminal justice system from top to bottom,” the document states, adding that “Police brutality is a stain on the soul of our nation.”

The joint policy doctrine then goes on to state that the Democrat Party must “reimagine policing for the benefit and safety of the American people” — a phrase that leaves itself open to broad interpretation by radical anti-cop activists.

Biden was even more explicit in a recent interview, endorsing one of the main objectives of the “defund the police” movement by responding that he would “absolutely” support “redirecting” funding from law enforcement. Fortunately, the vast majority of Americans firmly oppose these policies.

A whopping 64 percent of voters are against redirecting funding away from local police departments, according to an ABC News/Ipsos poll published last month. That’s no doubt the reason that Biden and his allies are so touchy about the subject.

“Corrupt Joe Biden wants to defund our police,” the President tweeted recently, pointing to Biden’s own policy platform. “He may use different words, but when you look at his pact with Crazy Bernie, and other things, that’s what he wants to do. It would destroy America!”

Regrettably, the mainstream media are covering for Biden, trying to gaslight the American people into believing that President Trump is lying about Biden’s anti-police platform. CNNThe Washington Post, and the Associated Press have all insisted that the presumptive Democrat nominee is being misquoted by his political opponents.

Actual police officers who understand the implications of Biden’s platform, however, have not been deceived.

After backing the Obama-Biden ticket in 2008 and 2012, the National Association of Police Organizations (NAPO) recently endorsed Donald Trump, noting that the President’s support is crucial “during this time of unfair and inaccurate opprobrium being directed at our members by so many.”

“We particularly value your directing the Attorney General to aggressively prosecute those who attack our officers,” the endorsement letter adds.

The NAPO endorsement was not surprising — President Trump has consistently demonstrated his commitment to law and order, implementing policies that have kept our communities safe. Unlike the Democrat Party’s plan to weaken law enforcement by taking resources away from police departments, the President has signed an executive order modernizing police engagement protocols and investing in better training.

“[W]e will prioritize federal grants from the Department of Justice to police departments that seek independent credentialing, certifying that they meet high standards … on the use of force and de-escalation training,” he explained while signing the directive.

In addition to promoting greater transparency and accountability in the criminal justice system, the executive order also allocates federal funding “to support officers in dealing with homeless individuals and those who have mental illness and substance-abuse problems.”

Unlike Biden, who was silent for days as violent criminals rioted in some of America’s largest cities, President Trump has repeatedly reassured the American people that the federal government would protect them from anarchy if state authorities failed to uphold their duties.

“If a city or state refuses to take the actions that are necessary to defend the life and property of their residents, then I will deploy the United States military and quickly solve the problem for them,” he vowed last month.

History shows that Donald Trump will defend our law enforcement from the radical campaign to defund and dismantle the police. Biden, on the other hand, is siding with the enemies of law and order.
