10 Disturbing Facts from Planned Parenthood’s (Late) Annual Report

Start

This week, Planned Parenthood finally released its 2015-2016 annual report — about five months later than they were expected to. To spare you the trouble of reading through the whole thing, here are ten things you should know about the report.

1.) Despite preventing 328,348 children from ever celebrating a birthday, Planned Parenthood was very excited to celebrate its own 100th birthday.

The report begins with a little “Happy Birthday” message to themselves:

We have been here for 100 years, and we’ve been fighting for reproductive health care and rights since day one. We’re going to be here for another 100 years — and then some — and though the path forward isn’t an easy one, ours never has been. Planned Parenthood has weathered some intense storms in our history, and we’ve come out of each one stronger, smarter, and fiercer than ever before.

2.) Planned Parenthood is not afraid to address the elephant in the room ― their own founder, Margaret Sanger, a eugenicist who once wrote, “We do not want word to go out that we want to exterminate the Negro population.”

Of course, the report did not quote those words, but choose some more “inspiring” ones:

“It was the dawn of a new day in my life… I went to bed knowing that no matter what it might cost… I was resolved to seek out the root of evil, to do something to change the destiny of mothers, whose miseries were as vast as the sky.” — Margaret Sanger

3.) During 2015-2016, Planned Parenthood “health” centers decreased from 661 to 650, but they still promise to provide “care to everyone who comes through our doors. No matter what.” They must just mean the doors that they haven’t closed.

4.) Despite being given $900,000 more in taxpayer dollars (from $553,700,000 in 2014 to $554,600,000 in 2015), Planned Parenthood saw 100,000 less patients than they did the year before (down from 2.5 million to 2.4 million).

Maybe that was because women saw the undercover videos showing top Planned Parenthood officials haggling over their babies’ body parts and decided to no longer give their business to an organization which partakes in illegal activity.

5.) On the same topic of the videos, the report still claims they were “heavily edited.” Watch them and decide for yourself, but if The Center for Medical Progress has a video editor that good, he should quit right now and move to Hollywood.

6.) Planned Parenthood boasts that they are serving more “trans people and men,” but it’s not clear if they are actually talking about biological males or women who identify as “men.” This is because, further on, the report seems to have some sexual confusion when it says that Planned Parenthood’s new app is “for anyone who has a period — Spot On does not make assumptions about a person’s gender or sexual orientation.”

7.) Planned Parenthood is quite satisfied with the fact that they have 300 campus groups of PPGen and PPGenAction.

However, what they refuse to acknowledge is that their rival group, Students for Life, outnumbers them nearly 4 to 1 with a whopping 1,140 groups. In fact, in the last three months of 2015 alone, 115 new Students for Life chapters were started.

8.) While Planned Parenthood performed more abortions (328,348 compared to the previous year’s 323,999) and less of everything else (breast exams, HPV vaccinations, contraception services, pap tests, and prenatal care), they still promote their misleading statistic that abortions are only 3 percent of what they do.

9.) Planned Parenthood clearly isn’t a fan of kids. During just one year, their prenatal services dropped by about 50 percent, from 17,419 to a miniscule 9,419. In addition, they only provided 2,889 adoption referrals while aborting 328,348 children.

10.) Planned Parenthood is filthy rich. During fiscal year 2016, Planned Parenthood’s excess revenue reached $77.5 million and their net assets now total over $1.5 billion.

And, as a bonus, here’s one more fact from this year’s report: Once again, Planned Parenthood provided zero mammograms this year. Surprise, surprise.
