Abortion Extremists Target… Hurricane Harvey Victims?

Hurricane Harvey has been an absolute tragedy. Not only has there been a tremendous loss of life, but the mass destruction of property and opportunities for the people of Texas has the entire country in mourning. It is at times like this where you see people pull together as one nation, set aside differences, and pitch in for support.

Typically, the support offered provides actual help and doesn’t destroy even more life, but major pro-abortion groups want to change that. That’s right — major pro-abortion groups are raising money off Hurricane Harvey for… more abortions.

The Lilith Fund, an organization that provides money for women to abort their babies when they can’t afford to do so, has created a special fund for victims of Hurricane Harvey. A post on their Facebook page reads:

“With increased barriers like temporary clinic closures, displacement, loss of homes/vehicles, and more, access to abortion just got even more difficult for those affected by Harvey…”

This fund is being tweeted about by major pro-abortion groups, such as NARAL (formerly the National Abortion and Reproductive Rights Action League) and The National Network of Abortion Funds.

The Lilith Fund’s mission statement states:

“We envision a society in which equal access to abortion is guaranteed for all, regardless of economic situation.”

More than fifty people have been reported dead in the last few days of this natural disaster. Billions of dollars in damage has been left in the wake of Hurricane Harvey. Isn’t there something better these organizations could be doing to “support” pregnant women that have been impacted?

The answer is yes. While groups from across the country have pulled together to help these citizens out, providing medical attention, food, and necessary items, the abortion industry remains focused on its end game: the destruction of the next generation under the guise of “choice”. If you ever thought that pro-abortion organizations actually cared about the women they reach out to, think again.

Sean Davis, co-founder of The Federalist, tweeted a perfect summary of this special fund:

Planned Parenthood rants and raves about the “medical services” they provide for women. Where are they to be found when women, especially expecting mothers, need medical attention? Why aren’t they there assisting needy women? Why aren’t they actually giving assistance instead of promoting the death of more people?

Pro-life groups and individuals have been in the trenches, providing needy expecting mothers and mothers of young children with food, diapers, shelter, and anything else they can possibly offer. It is the pro-life movement which is truly supporting pregnant women impacted by Hurricane Harvey. Don’t be fooled — the abortion industry doesn’t actually care about women. It only cares about how many women can be convinced and exploited in order to create bigger profits. Their lack of real effort in supporting women impacted by Hurricane Harvey speaks volumes.
