Forget DACA: Immigrants’ Biggest Threat Is Planned Parenthood

Earlier this week, in a seemingly absurd statement, Planned Parenthood’s president Cecile Richards wrote that “every person has the right to live.” Given the lethal work her organization does, her supposed defense of the right to life is laughably ironic. However, it all suddenly makes sense when the context of the entire quote is considered:

Here at Planned Parenthood, we firmly believe that every person has the right to live, work, and raise a family freely and without the threat of deportation or separation … We believe in every person’s right to control their own destiny and their own body.

As you by now most likely realize, Richards was responding to the Trump administration’s recent announcement of its plan to end Obama’s Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) immigration policy. This policy, which was enacted in 2012, allows “dreamers,” eligible immigrants who came here illegally when they were minors, to apply for deferred deportation renewable every two years.

Whether or not you consider ending DACA good immigration policy, it should be blatantly obvious that an organization like Planned Parenthood which benefits economically from literally tearing children — and, in particular, a disproportionate amount of minority children — away from their mothers cannot claim the moral high ground in this situation.

Cecile Richards and her thousands of employees tear families apart by separating mother and child and “deporting,” so to speak, children from their home in the womb. Indeed, it is Planned Parenthood which is the ultimate “threat of deportation and separation” to millions of children whose parents have immigrated to the United States.

It should also come as no surprise that Richards is “heartbroken” that the Trump administration has introduced a plan which will decrease Planned Parenthood’s customer base. After all, her organization preys on immigrants and minorities by relying on their often less-than-ideal financial situations, which drive many women to abortion. Richards even admits her hidden motives for supporting DACA when she says that many of the 800,000 young people who have benefited from the policy are Planned Parenthood’s customers, or “members of the Planned Parenthood community” as she prefers to put it:

The Trump administration just announced a plan to end Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) — an attack that will leave 800,000 young people who have grown up in this country at risk of deportation, including members of the Planned Parenthood community.

Richards needs these immigrants to stay in the country so that her organization can take advantage of their situation and continue making money off them. In fact, her abortion clinics are strategically placed to specifically target immigrant and minority women. This is obvious by the fact that nearly 80 percent of their offices are located in black and Latino neighborhoods.

This too should come as no surprise since Planned Parenthood was founded by one of history’s most notorious racists, Margaret Sanger, who considered immigrants to be inferior people who should be eliminated by eugenics:

That these foreigners who have come in hordes have brought with them their ignorance of hygiene and modern ways of living and that they are handicapped by religious superstitions is only too true…. I believe that now, immediately, there should be national sterilization for certain dysgenic types of our population who are being encouraged to breed and would die out were the government not feeding them.

Richards would certainly not like these dirty secrets about Planned Parenthood’s founder to be known, so she slyly turns the focus away from her organization’s racist past — and present — by condemning President Trump for supposedly being a white supremacist:

Make no mistake. The termination of DACA and the relentless attacks against immigrants by the Trump administration are rooted in racism and fueled by white supremacist ideology.

Never mind the fact that Planned Parenthood was founded upon racism and to this day kills a disproportionate amount of minority children. Instead, Richards attacks the Trump administration’s decision to amend our immigration policy, calling it a racist policy fueled by white supremacy.

A wolf in sheep’s clothing, Cecile Richards tries to appear to be a friend of immigrants, all the while taking advantage of their difficult circumstances for her own economic profit. She is only trying to hide Planned Parenthood’s racism and maintain her customer base. Americans should not fall for it.
