President Trump Officially Launches 2020 Reelection Campaign

Last night, President Donald Trump took the stage in Orlando’s Amway Center amid massive fanfare to announce that he was running for a second term as president.

After First Lady Melania Trump introduced him, the President began addressing his audience. He warmed up the cheering crowd of thousands of his strongest supporters by excoriating news outlets which treat him unfairly, particularly CNN. He roused loud jeers and cheers when he took the leftist Democrats to task for attempting to impeach him over fictitious offenses.

When he finished pumping up his supporters, Trump paraded his numerous accomplishments. He touted record economic growth, the lowest African-American unemployment rate in history, and his success in nominating and confirming judges. Throughout the speech, he reminded attendees that he and conservatives won those victories together — despite the Left’s unrelenting campaign to undermine him and to push American principles aside.

Many of the goals he emphasized were the same as those he stressed when he stepped off of the Trump Tower escalator in 2015. He recommitted America to bringing back manufacturing jobs. He asserted some achievements in securing the border with Mexico, but reminded viewers that there is still much work to be done.

Though his conversational style of speaking remains, this announcement was more polished than the one which launched his 2016 bid. The President placed a stronger emphasis on religious freedom and the sanctity of life. Impressively, he refined and united his economic goals and accomplishments into a robust agenda to promote the dignity of work. In doing this, he delivered a clarion call to the conservative movement to push forward in the interest of realizing Ronald Reagan’s dream of a “shining city on a hill.” This dream, he clarified, is one of a more prosperous and humane America: where life is respected from the womb to the tomb, and from the pew on Sunday to the workplace on Monday.

Before he concluded his speech with calls to “Keep America Great,” the President made a strong impression upon Americans, asserting that “in God we Trust.” By declaring America’s trust for God, he set a strong contrast between his campaign and the opposing party’s increasingly secular and anti-religious candidates and policies.

Overall, the President truly convinced viewers that he is determined to promote human dignity, the core principle of “Keeping America Great!”
