Could a New Phone App Revolutionize the Pro-Life Movement?

40 Days for Life, already one of the most successful organizations at shutting down abortion clinics, is about to give the pro-life movement a powerful, new tool to fight abortion worldwide. The 40 Days for Life App (available in the Apple App Store and Google Play) will help bring together pro-lifers all across the globe. It will make it even simpler to connect in order to fast, pray, and hold vigils at abortion clinics. According to 40 Days for Life President Shawn Carney: Planned Parenthood and the high-powered abortion industry own a huge financial advantage over even the best-funded pro-life

Could This Bill Be Republicans’ Last Chance to Defund Planned Parenthood?

Last week, H.R. 1628 was introduced in the U.S. Senate. The bill is a last-ditch Obamacare repeal effort, but it has the potential to defund Planned Parenthood and end federally sponsored abortions as well. The bill was introduced by four senators: Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.), Bill Cassidy (R-La.), Dean Heller (R-Nev.), and Ron Johnson (R-Wis.). Former Senator Rick Santorum accompanied the four sponsors to add support. This new legislation would create block grants to be given to each state, enabling the states to establish their own healthcare systems. Sen. Cassidy’s website describes this concept: The grant dollars would replace the federal

3 Churches Sue FEMA for Religious Discrimination After Hurricane Harvey

In the wake of Hurricane Harvey, the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) is facing a discrimination lawsuit from three different Houston churches. More than just homes were destroyed by Harvey; non-profit organizations, including churches and religious organizations, were as well. FEMA has a fund that provides for these groups: the Public Assistance Grant program. Per their website, “PA [Public Assistance] provides grants to state, tribal, territorial, and local governments, and certain types of PNP organizations so that communities can quickly respond to and recover from major disasters or emergencies.” Organizations such as museums and zoos have full access to these

Abortion Extremists Target… Hurricane Harvey Victims?

Hurricane Harvey has been an absolute tragedy. Not only has there been a tremendous loss of life, but the mass destruction of property and opportunities for the people of Texas has the entire country in mourning. It is at times like this where you see people pull together as one nation, set aside differences, and pitch in for support. Typically, the support offered provides actual help and doesn’t destroy even more life, but major pro-abortion groups want to change that. That’s right — major pro-abortion groups are raising money off Hurricane Harvey for… more abortions. The Lilith Fund, an organization

Pro-Lifers Help Shut Down One of Country’s Last Late-Term Abortion Clinics

An abortion clinic in Germantown, Md., is one of the few providers of late-term abortion left in the United States. However, thanks to the efforts of pro-life advocates in the area, the clinic is scheduled to shut its doors. Germantown Reproductive Health Services is under contract to be sold to Maryland Coalition for Life, a group that has worked for years to shut the abortion clinic down. This grassroots pro-life organization has staged steady protests against the clinic in the past, but in 2011, they opened up a crisis pregnancy center right across the parking lot from the clinic, encouraging

Judge Denies Planned Parenthood Taxpayer Funds in Crucial Pro-Life Win

In a win for the pro-life movement, Arkansas’ decision to cut off all of Planned Parenthood’s Medicaid funding was upheld this past week by a federal court of appeals. In August 2015, Governor Asa Hutchinson announced that Arkansas would be severing state contracts with Planned Parenthood in response to the release of undercover videos revealing the organization’s role in trafficking aborted body parts. The Department of Human Services announced to Planned Parenthood that their contract would be canceled within 30 days, but that the organization had the right to an administrative appeal under state law. Planned Parenthood was quick to round

WATCH: Liberal Professor’s Absurd Abortion Argument Leaves James Franco Baffled

How do you know that your arguments have become completely devoid of facts and logic? When people who normally wholeheartedly support you start to question your opinions. James Franco is a popular actor, well known for his breakthrough role on the TV show Freaks and Geeks. He has started co-hosting a YouTube series titled “Philosophy Time” with Eliot Michaelson, a professor at the King’s College London. The two discuss questions having to do with philosophy and morality, and commonly welcome guests into the conversation. In Episode 103, the two invited Professor Liz Harman (Princeton University) to discuss abortion in the

Court: Non-Religious Pro-Life Center Must Pay for Abortions under Obamacare

In a defeat for the pro-life movement and pro-life centers everywhere, the US Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit ruled this week that a secular pregnancy center must comply with the Obamacare mandate that requires organizations to pay for drugs that cause abortions. Real Alternatives, a pro-life organization based out of Pennsylvania, filed a lawsuit against the Obama administration in regard to this mandate. The group provides abortion alternatives in Pennsylvania and elsewhere and, though a secular organization, sought to protect themselves from this mandate under religious exemption due to their moral opposition to abortion. The three-judge panel, however,
