Trump Admin To Ban TikTok From US App Stores On Sunday

TikTok, the controversial short video app with links to the Chinese Communist Party, is set to be banned from American app stores on Sunday.

Following reports the app swiped user data, which many fear could be obtained by the Chinese Communist Party, and censored content at odds with party-peddled narratives on issues ranging from the Tiananmen Square massacre to Hong Kong protests, President Trump decided to ban the app.

Now, the U.S. Commerce Department will execute the ban which also applies to Tencent-owned WeChat.
