New Poll: Bush Slips to 3 Percent

A new IBD poll confirms the CNN poll released late last week: Donald Trump is in the lead (although by 12 points in the latest, not 20 points as in last week’s CNN poll). Ben Carson, Ted Cruz and Marco Rubio are clustered in the low teens, confirming Carson’s slippage in recent weeks as voters focus on national security (and he stumbles as a clear pro-life messenger).

But perhaps the biggest news from this poll is the failure of Jeb Bush’s multi-million dollar ad buys touting his experienced conservative record to make a dent in this election cycle. The last two polls have him at 3 percent, clustering with John Kasich, Carly Fiorina, Mike Huckabee, and Rand Paul. (Rick Santorum, LindseyGraham, and George Pataki are at zero percent right now.)

Jeb Bush is a good man, but it’s becoming clear he’s not resonating with voters any more than the other governors in the race have. Voters are not interested in your record, candidates.
