New Poll: Carly Crushes Hillary in Iowa, New Hampshire

Democratic front runner Hillary Clinton has a reason to sweat after a new round of general election polling shows her down heavily to upcoming Republican candidate Carly Fiorina.  An NBC-WSJ poll has the Iowa electorate backing Carly Fiorina over Hillary Clinton by a staggering 14 points, 52 percent to 38 percent.

And the hits keep on coming in New Hampshire, where Clinton appears to be down to Fiorina by 8 points, 50 percent to 42 percent.

It’s important to keep in mind that the election is still a year out (an eternity in politics), and Fiorina would still have to secure the nomination to go up against Clinton in the first place, so popping the champagne at this point would be premature.  That said, the latest national polls indicate major trouble ahead for the former Secretary of State in 2016.
