Last week, I wrote that national polls showed Donald Trump had just about closed the gap on Hillary Clinton, and I predicted that state polls would soon be showing a similar story.

Well, not to say ‘I told you so,’ but check out the changes RealClearPolitics has made to their electoral map since the end of August:

  • Wisconsin: From ‘Leans Clinton’ to ‘Toss-up’
  • Pennsylvania: From ‘Leans Clinton’ to ‘Toss-up’
  • Virginia: From ‘Leans Clinton’ to ‘Toss-up’
  • Rhode Island: From ‘Safe Clinton’ to ‘Likely Clinton’
  • Connecticut: From ‘Leans Clinton’ to ‘Likely Clinton’
  • New Hampshire: From ‘Leans Clinton’ to ‘Toss-up’
  • Utah: From ‘Leans Trump’ to ‘Likely Trump’
  • Michigan: From ‘Leans Clinton’ to ‘Toss-up’

With the single exception of Connecticut, each state update has been in favor of Trump, as he has clearly made gains in almost every important swing state.

On second thought: I told you so.
