The latest Wall Street Journal poll, which was taken partly before and partly after the last GOP debate, shows Dr. Ben Carson leading second-place Donald Trump, 29 percent to 23 percent. Even more striking, the majority of GOP voters now say Dr. Carson is either their first or their second choice.
Marco Rubio and Ted Cruz are neck-and-neck for third place with 11 percent and 10 percent, respectively.
“The retired pediatric neurosurgeon is the top pick of every segment of the GOP electorate, but he performs best among social conservatives. He draws strong support from ‘value voters’—people who cite abortion and other social issues as top concerns—and from people who attend church services weekly, as well as from Republicans who make less than $75,000 a year,” according to The Wall Street Journal.
We have a new front-runner, and it is Dr. Ben Carson.
Like I said, don’t misunderestimate him.
