WATCH: Trump Releases First TV Ad, “Two Americas”

We reported earlier this week that Trump would be releasing his first TV commercial today. It’s pretty impressive.

Narrator: “In Hillary Clinton’s America, the system stays rigged against Americans. Syrian refugees flood in. Illegal immigrants convicted of committing crimes get to stay, collecting Social Security benefits, skipping the line. Our border open. It’s more of the same, but worse. Donald Trump’s America is secure. Terrorists and dangerous criminals kept out. The border secure. Our families safe. Change that makes America safe again. Donald Trump for President.

Trump: “I’m Donald Trump and I approve this message.”

With his first TV commercial of the general election campaign, Trump echoes much of what he said in his convention speech. His top priority, as he states in this ad, will be to “make America safe again.”

That’s a darn good message. The Trump campaign is wise to use this issue as a way to contrast with Hillary Clinton, who has demonstrated severe incompetence in prosecuting the war against radical Islamic terrorism and is completely unwilling to address border security. If voters view national security as a priority in November, that is likely to bode well for Trump.
