Dr. Kulvinder Gill spoke out against a recent deal Canada has made with China regarding a COVID-19 vaccine, saying: “If the Trudeau government wants Canadians to trust and buy into a SARS-CoV-2 vaccine, partnering with the Chinese Communist Party’s military is (…) the most counterproductive and dangerous thing it could do.”
In May 2020, the Canadian National Research Council announced its partnership with the Chinese Communist Party backed company CanSino Biologics Inc. in effort to work on the coronavirus vaccine Ad5-nCoV.
“The role of our governments is to build trust through transparency and accountability,” Gill stated, noting this deal is the antithesis of such.
She continues: “[the government] must abandon this illogical and dangerous endeavour, and instead fund vaccine trials with our allied nations who understand the critical importance of trust, ethics, safety, transparency and collaboration.”

The frontline physician also argued a cause to sound alarm is that the Five Eyes intelligence alliance, consisting of Canada, the United States, the United Kingdom, New Zealand, and Australia, “raised significant concerns regarding China’s handling of the novel coronavirus calling it an ‘assault on international transparency.’”
Gill took to Twitter to further voice her concern, saying it is ‘illogical’ that Canada is the only nation to sign an agreement with the Chinese military and China should not be trusted.

But Dr. Gill is not the only one expressing concerns.
Ted Kuntz, president of the not-for-profit Vaccine Choice Canada, said he hopes “saner heads will prevail,” raising concerns on the vaccine’s impacts on its recipients:
“Will those volunteering as human test subjects be fully informed that this vaccine has not undergone standard safety testing? […] Will healthy human test subject[s] be told that the risk of harm to them significantly outweighs any potential benefit? Are human subjects being made fully aware that many of the adverse effects of vaccination, especially on the neurological and immunological systems, may not be evident for years if not decades?”
Dr. Scott Halperin, the director of the Canadian Center for Vaccinology approved to begin trials, conceded that “under normal conditions, those types of studies … can take five to seven years. It’s a very long process.”
Halperin says he and his team plan to complete the process “’in a more accelerated fashion, without sacrificing any safety,’ by not waiting for full results from one stage of their research before moving on to the next.”

Concerned Ontario Doctors, a nonprofit organization fighting for frontline healthcare workers and their patients, of which Dr. Gill is the co-founder and president, is also pushing back against the Trudeau government – not only on the vaccine, but the government’s overall lack of preparedness and ill handling of the situation.
In April of this year, the organization released an open letter to both Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and Premier Doug Ford wherein they urge the government “to heed the ongoing warnings of frontline physicians; be fully transparent with Canadians; proactively enact policies based on science, protect frontline physicians, nurses and healthcare workers; protect the privacy and liberties of Canadians; and act as a sovereign nation to protect the lives of all Canadians.”
