NEW POLL: Hillary Clinton Would Still Lose to President Trump

The Democrats, like moths to the flame, can’t help turning Hillary Clinton into a martyr-hero. In Manhattan, she gets rapturous applause every time she goes to the theater, which she has taken to doing surprisingly often.

Unlike George W. Bush or John McCain, she barely waited a few weeks before plunging into criticism of the President of the United States.

She keeps herself in the limelight and drags her daughter Chelsea there too. Well, I’m not sure it takes much dragging. It’s not just the fawning cover of Variety as the face of woman power. This piece from a Democrat begging the Left to stop the Clinton worship summarizes the Big Chelsea Media Suck-up of 2017:

In The New York Times alone, Chelsea has starred in multiple features over the past few months: for her tweeting (it’s become “feisty”), for her upcoming book (to be titled She Persisted), and her reading habits (she says she has an “embarrassingly large” collection of books on her Kindle). With Chelsea’s 2015 book, It’s Your World, now out in paperback, the puff pieces in other outlets—EllePeople, etc.—are too numerous to count.

“The Democrats are doing their best to make Chelsea happen,” agrees National Review‘s Kevin Williamson.

Meanwhile back in the real world, a new poll amazingly shows that if the election were held today, Hillary Clinton would still lose to Donald Trump, and by an even bigger margin. Asked to choose between Trump and Clinton, Americans preferred Trump 43 percent to 40 percent. But Clinton’s post-election decline is even steeper. Forty-six percent of those surveyed said they voted for Clinton in 2016. Just 40 percent would vote for her again.

The more exposure she gets, the less people like her.

No, it was not James Comey or the Russians who caused Hillary Clinton’s inexplicable defeat. She’s an unattractive politician who needs a sinecure to win.

The only weaker politician I can imagine is Chelsea — poor thing — pushed by Hillary the pageant mom onto the national stage because remaining in the limelight is the family business.

To the Democrats intent on pushing the Clinton franchise into the next generation, I say: go ahead, make my day.
