Merchan Bragg

Democrat DA Bragg Asks Judge to Find Trump in Contempt of Court on Day 2 of Trial.

Manhattan District Attorney (DA) Alvin Bragg has asked New York Supreme Court Judge Juan Merchan to find Donald Trump in contempt of court, alleging he has violated a gag order preventing him from speaking freely about people connected to his case.

Bragg, a Democrat whose election campaign was financed by George Soros via a political action committee (PAC), wants the former president to be fined $3,000 and threatened with up to a month behind bars for further breaches.

Judge Merchan imposed a gag order on Trump, banning him from attacking court staff, witnesses, and others in March. This was later expanded to include his family after his daughter’s ties to the Joe Biden regime reinvigorated calls for him to recuse himself.

Bragg alleges Trump breached the order with Truth Social posts about Michael Cohen, the disbarred lawyer and convicted perjuror, and Stephanie Clifford, who performs sex acts for money as Stormy Daniels.

Trump shared a statement by Daniels admitting she did not have sexual relations with him. Allegations a settlement paid to Daniels by Cohen on behalf of Trump was filed incorrectly in 2017 form the heart of Bragg’s novel case.

National Guard at Border

Illegal Escapes Across Border Into Mexico After Stabbing 2 People and Being Shot by National Guard.

A National Guardsman from Indiana shot an illegal immigrant who stabbed two individuals on the U.S. side of the border in El Paso, Texas, on Sunday. Both stabbing victims were treated for non-life-threatening injuries. The illegal immigrant was able to escape across the U.S. southern border, making it back into Mexico before he was apprehended.

Border Patrol announced the incident through a memo stating: “On April 14, 2024, at approximately 13:10 hours, [Border Patrol] was notified by Army Personnel that a migrant was seen stabbing another migrant south of the C-wire, by the river’s edge.”

“According to Army Personnel and DPS Trooper, a National Guardsman shot a subject, who subsequently went back south to Mexico. TX Department of Public Safety Trooper (TX DPS) was contacted, and EMS was contacted. As per agents, two subjects (suspected UNCs) sustained non-life threatening injuries,” the memo continued.

Responding to the incident, the Indiana National Guard said in a statement, “The Indiana National Guard is aware of the incident that happened Sunday, April 14. We support and care for our soldiers and airmen who are supporting Operation Lone Star.”

The rise of violence at the border appears to be a growing trend amidst inadequate security measures under the Biden regime. Last month, another border incident culminated in illegal immigrants instigating a riot, assaulting Border Patrol officers, and demolishing a border barrier.

Additionally, the lack of border enforcement by the Biden government has allowed criminal activity to thrive. The National Pulse has extensively covered the increasing encounters Border Patrol has had with alleged pedophiles, human traffickers, drug smugglers, gang members, and murders attempting to cross the border into the United States.

Supreme Court Allows Idaho to Suspend Child Sex Changes While Appeals Against State Ban Are Ongoing.

The United States Supreme Court has ruled that Idaho can enforce its ban on sex changes for minors while an appeal is pending. The court’s directive was issued in response to an emergency request from the Gem State.

Two teenage plaintiffs have challenged the law. The Supreme Court ruled they, specifically, are to be exempt from its implementation while their appeals are ongoing, but it can be enforced across the state more generally.

The American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU), representing the plaintiffs, described the ruling as an “awful result for transgender youth and their families across the state,” claiming it “allows the state to shut down the care that thousands of families rely on while sowing further confusion and disruption.”

The Idaho law outlaws mutilating surgeries and the administration of puberty blockers, hormones, and other medical therapies to minors.

The evidence such therapies are an effective treatment for “gender dysphoria” is extremely thin, however, with England among several jurisdictions that have now banned the routing prescription of puberty blockers to children.

Evidence is emerging that such treatments have dangerous and often irreversible side effects, however, and that most gender-confused children grow out of their delusions naturally.

Planned Parenthood Resists Probe Into Transing Kids.

Planned Parenthood in Missouri is stonewalling an investigation into its “treatment” of transgender kids, refusing to comply with a court order to release treatment records.

Missouri Attorney General Andrew Bailey won a court battle against Planned Parenthood, with St. Louis Circuit Judge Michael Stelzer ruling the abortion provider cannot use Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) regulations to avoid revealing whether it has subjected minors to transgender therapies.

Bailey described the judgment as significant for his investigation into transgender health clinics’ “treatment” of minors in Missouri. However, only the Children’s Mercy Hospital in Kansas City has surrendered documents following legal victories over three clinics. Planned Parenthood Great Plains has appealed to maintain its document privacy, and Planned Parenthood St. Louis, which was ordered to release files, has yet to comply.

Bailey has expressed concerns over Planned Parenthood’s non-compliance and promised continued legal actions to protect children and bring clarity.

“It’s extremely questionable that Planned Parenthood is actively stonewalling our investigations,” he said. “I had to haul them into court in order to get a judge to force them to turn over the documents we’ve requested.”

Judge Stelzer ruled Bailey “is investigating possible dishonesty by [Planned Parenthood] in their medical and billing practices” and affirmed the AG’s “broad investigative powers when the consumer is in possible need of protection.”

Missouri banned the administration of puberty blockers, hormones, and other transgender medical interventions to children in August 2023.
