Media Cuts Alex Trebek Citing ‘Faith In God’ As Key To Surviving Cancer

Establishment media outlets purposely omitted Jeopardy host Alex Trebek referencing his Christian faith as a prime motivator in his battle against stage four pancreatic cancer.

In a nearly two minute video providing Jeopardy fans with an update on his health on the one year anniversary of his diagnosis, Trebek describes what motivated him to persevere against “sudden massive attacks of great depression that made me wonder if it was really worth fighting on.”

He points to a variety of factors: “I brushed that aside quickly, because that would have been a massive betrayal. A betrayal of my wife and soulmate, Jean, who has given her all to help me survive. It would have been a betrayal of other cancer patients who have looked to me as an inspiration, and a cheerleader of sorts, of the value of living and hope, and it would certainly have been a betrayal of my faith in God and the millions of prayers that have been said on my behalf.”

But in a prime example of both anti-Christian bias and fake news, ABC included an excerpt from the clip in their evening news coverage but cut back to anchor David Muir’s commentary right before Trebek invoked his faith:

The only segment from the heartfelt video highlighted by ABC’s segment was “I brushed that aside quickly, because that would have been a massive betrayal. A betrayal of my wife and soulmate, Jean, who has given her all to help me survive. It would have been a betrayal of other cancer patients who have looked to me as an inspiration, and a cheerleader of sorts, of the value of living and hope” before Muir chimed in again with “so many rooting for Alex, including contestants.”

Despite over 70 percent of America identifying as Christian, coverage by NBC and CBS excluded the “betrayal” segment of Trebek’s tribute entirely.

Media bias is glaringly overt and their animus towards Christianity is similarly apparent: look no further than their eagerness to will 16-year-old Covington Catholic student Nicholas Sandmann into a racist bigot for peacefully engaging with an elderly Native American man.
