Ted Cruz has been running hard to appeal to social conservatives this cycle and was quick to condemn Planned Parenthood for undercover videos showing they collect and sell fetal organs. Now, Cruz’s campaign has released a video calling for the defunding of Planned Parenthood and directing viewers to a petition on his site calling for Congressional action:
Cruz: Many say the videos that surfaced in the past week was gruesome and disgusting.
News Clips: Between sips of wine and bites of salad, a Planned Parenthood doctor discusses getting money for tissue from aborted fetuses. Harvesting the organs of aborted fetuses for money.
Planned Parenthood executive: “I want a Lamborghini.” (laughter)
Cruz: No empathy, no compassion, no emotion.
News Clip: Planned Parenthood took over half a billion dollars in the process.
Cruz: The U.S. Department of Justice, if it is not simply a partisan arm of the DNC, should open an investigation and prosecute Planned Parenthood. And we should cut off every penny of taxpayer funds. (applause)
