The media tried to trap Ben Carson in his own words again, but he would not compromise his principles.

In an interview with SB Nation on Tuesday evening following the Fox Business GOP Debate, a reporter asked Carson whether he would “abort baby Hitler” if given the chance: “As the most anti-Hitler, but also the most anti-abortion candidate, would you abort baby Hitler?”

Unhesitatingly, Carson responded, “I’m not in favor of aborting anybody.”

Of course, the reporter responded with a completely unjustified logic jump before rushing on to the next question: “Not even Hitler? OK. Pro-Hitler.”

The question was most likely provoked after Jeb Bush, who was asked whether he would go back in time and kill Adolf Hitler in his crib, responded, “Hell yeah I would!”

Last month, The New York Times proposed the same question, receiving a 42 percent response in the affirmative and a 30 percent “no” response.

Despite the inevitability of the media sensationalizing and ridiculing Carson’s response, he stayed true to his pro-life principles.  Because the thing is, there are no babies in the womb who are mass murderers.  And we are not God to pick and choose.
