Disney Cruise Crew Arrested for Child Porn.

A Disney Cruise Line crew member, Tirso Neri, has been arrested by U.S. Border Control and Homeland Security agents under allegations of child pornography possession. Neri, 44, from the Philippines, is the third person from the Disney-owned company to face such charges this year.

The arrest was carried out following the discovery of explicit content, encompassing both photos and videos, depicting children as young as nine on his phone. The content was found by agents who examined his cabin when his ship, the Disney Dream, arrived at Port Everglades in Florida from the Bahamas.

Neri’s arrest follows an investigation that started in late December. Neri’s device held a folder bearing a minor’s name, including several explicit images and videos of her, along with a picture of her Philippines passport.

More videos were found showing a boy between 10-12 years old engaging in sexual acts with a girl aged 12-14, and another showing a naked young girl next to a man.

Neri is currently facing charges of child pornography possession and transportation at Broward Main Jail.

Disney Cruise Line has stated they no longer employ Neri.

Earlier this year, Alvin Gonzales, 49, and Amiel Trazo, 28, also from the Philippines and former Disney Dream employees, were arrested on similar charges. Dozens of Disney employees have been charged with child sex offenses in recent years.

Russian Economy Will Grow Faster Any Other Advanced Nation in 2024.

The International Monetary Fund (IMF) expects Russian economic growth to exceed any other advanced nation in 2024. According to their data, they anticipate Russia will grow at a rate of 3.2 percent. Meanwhile, the United States is expected to achieve only 2.7 percent.

Not a single nation typically seen as Europe’s economic powerhouse is expected to exceed 1 percent growth. The United Kingdom is projected only to hit 0.5 percent, France 0.7 percent, and Germany 0.2 percent.

Given the Biden government’s sanctions regime aimed at grinding Russian commerce to a halt, the high Russian economic growth projection comes as a bit of a surprise. U.S. sanctions were enacted in response to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine in February of 2022.

According to Russian officials, the Biden government’s sanctions are partly responsible for their high growth projection. They claim that the economic restrictions made their domestic industries more self-sufficient. Additionally, Russia insists that its citizens’ rate of consumption and investment remains stable, which also aided in their economic gains.

The IMF believes the country’s growth rate will decline to 1.8 percent in 2025. This decline will occur “as the effects of high investment and robust private consumption, supported by wage growth in a tight labor market, fade.”

“What it [the growth data] tells us is that this is a war economy in which the state — which, let’s remember, had a very sizable buffer, built over many years of fiscal discipline — is investing in this war economy,” said IMF Managing Director Kristalina Georgieva regarding Russian economic projections during a February interview with CNBC.

Trump Hush Money Trial

DATA: 2 in 3 Think Trump Charges Are Bogus.

An overwhelming number of American voters agree with top legal scholars and the Trump campaign that the charges brought by Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg are spurious. Only about one-third of Americans say they believe former President Donald Trump engaged in illegal activity for which he’s being prosecuted in the New York hush-money trial, which began on Monday.

According to new survey data from AP-NORC, 35 percent of Americans believe the former President engaged in illegal activity. However, 31 percent said they thought his actions were unethical but did not rise to the level of being against the law, and 14 percent said Trump did nothing wrong.

The District Attorney prosecuting the case, Alvin Bragg, has faced criticism from the legal community for bringing the charges against the former President. When Bragg filed charges against Trump just over a year ago, even some of the former President’s harshest critics in Congress expressed skepticism regarding the legal theories underpinning the District Attorney’s case.

“I believe the New York prosecutor has stretched to reach felony criminal charges in order to fit a political agenda,” Sen. Mitt Romney (R-UT) said at that time. He added: “The prosecutor’s overreach sets a dangerous precedent for criminalizing political opponents and damages the public’s faith in our justice system.” Romney twice voted to impeach then-President Donald Trump.

The AP-NORC survey also reveals that a majority of those polled agree that the former President is unlikely to receive a fair trial in Manhattan. Trump’s attorneys have requested a venue change, but Democrat-connected Judge Juan Merchan has rejected those motions.

NPR Whistleblower RESIGNS After Being Suspended For Admitting Outlet’s Bias.

National Public Radio (NPR) veteran Uri Berliner announced his resignation Wednesday following a five-day suspension due to an essay he penned exposing extreme left-wing bias at the once-respected institution. Berliner expressed concerns in the essay that in the wake of former President Donald Trump’s election and the 2020 ‘Summer of Love’ race riots, NPR was increasingly driven by ideology and commandeered by extreme left activists.

In a resignation letter to NPR CEO Katherine Maher, Berliner stated, “I cannot work in a newsroom where I am disparaged by a new CEO whose divisive views confirm the very problems at NPR I cite in my Free Press essay.” Despite his criticism, Berliner emphasized that he does not support defunding NPR, and wishes for the institution to regain its footing and continue important journalistic work.

Berliner’s essay, published in the Free Press, was titled “I’ve Been at NPR for 25 Years. Here’s How We Lost America’s Trust” and describes how he feels the outlet veered off its course. He criticizes the excessive focus on race and identity in the newsroom, the mandatory disclosure of interviewee’s race, gender, and ethnicity, and the compulsory participation in unconscious bias training sessions.

Berliner’s essay documented how the organization refused to cover the Hunter Biden ‘laptop from hell’ story and unquestioningly parroted government talking points about the COVID-19 crisis, refusing to investigate the lab leak theory of the disease’s origins.

Maher — who has a history of making racist, anti-white posts on social media — replied to Berliner’s criticism, underscoring journalism’s duty to ask hard questions, but asserting that questioning the integrity of personnel based on their identity was offensive.

Boeing Engineer Tells Senate It Is Only A Matter of Time Before A Catastrophic Disaster.

An engineer from Boeing, Sam Salehpour, warned members of the United States Senate on Wednesday of a potential loss of hundreds of lives if quality issues at the aviation giant are not resolved urgently.

In testimony before the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee’s investigations subcommittee, Salehpour claimed Boeing’s negligent disregard for concerns raised by employees and hostility to safety endangers passengers’ and crews’ lives. He specifically highlighted faults with over 1,000 Boeing 787 Dreamliner jets currently in service that could lead to premature fatigue failure.

When Sen. Josh Hawley (R-MO) asked if Boeing planes are safe, Salehpour warned that it is only a matter of time before one of the company’s planes is responsible for a catastrophic aviation disaster. “It’s like an earthquake. The big earthquake is coming, and when that hits, the building has to be prepared to accommodate that kind of—let’s say—shake-up. It has to be built properly,” the Boeing engineer responded. Salehpour continued: “Right now, from what I’ve seen, the airplanes are not being built per spec and per requirement.”

Salehpour went on to testify that Boeing’s 787 and 777 lines are especially concerning as the company is “doing stuff” that increases risk factors. “When you increase the risk factors, it’s not just one. You are doing stress concentrations,” the engineer said. He explained that while components might not break initially, after additional stresses, the odds of a failure increase dramatically.

After raising concerns about the production and safety protocols surrounding the 787 and 777 lines, Salehpour told Sen. Hawley that superiors at Boeing threatened him, then sidelined, and finally transferred. Reacting to these allegations, Boeing officials stated that Salehpour’s claims about the Dreamliner are “inaccurate,” maintaining that the 787 and 777 lines continue to be safe.
