DC Food Chain CAVA Celebrates Unemployment for Whites

The popular CAVA food chain boasted about decreasing the number of white people it employs by nearly 20 percent in 2020.

The numbers come from CAVA’s Instagram post entitled the “year in review,” with the fifth slide focusing on how “diversity matters” to the restaurant.

CAVA, which has 100 locations and sells its products in Whole Foods, celebrated that its workforce is now just “21 percent white” – down “from 37 percent in 2019.”

“We’ve made strides to make CAVA a diverse, inclusive workplace and remain committed to expanding on the following” the restaurant chain adds before celebrating statistics that reveal increases in employment for “Black, Asian, Native Hawaiian/Other Pacific, and Other.”
