Dozens of undelivered mail-in ballots were discovered by authorities in the critical swing state of Florida. A ballot collection box in Boston, Massachusetts appears to have been intentionally set ablaze, rendering nearly 40 ballots contained inside unable to be counted in the election. The case is currently under investigation by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI). According to local reports: The Boston Elections Department notified Galvin’s office that the fire was set at about 4 a.m. in the ballot drop box outside of the Boston Public Library’s main branch in Copley Square. Boston police said officers responded at 4:11 a.m. to the area of 700 Boylston St., which is the location of the library’s main branch.
Over 100 absentee ballots intended for voters in Louisville, Kentucky, were found abandoned in a dumpster. A United States Postal Service worker was accused of throwing away a mail-in ballot and political advertisements in the swing state of Pennsylvania. The worker has been placed on leave and follows a host of ballots failing to end up with their rightful owners. According to local reporting: “Sammamish Police are investigating potential mail theft after two garbage bags of mail, which included ballots, were found on the side of the road and several unopened ballots were found in incorrect mail boxes. The City of Sammamish says USPS delivered about 90% of ballots to Sammamish residents on Thursday.
