👀 Scientists Want to Change the Name Of Monkeypox To Make It ‘Non-Discriminatory’ and ‘Non-Stigmatizing’.

Several researchers reportedly “in advanced discussion” with the World Health Organization have proposed changing the name of the monkeypox virus in order to be “non-discriminatory and non-stigmatizing.” Twenty-nine co-authors from 11 countries outlined their proposal in a preprint posted on virological.org on June 10th: “Urgent Need for a Non-discriminatory and Non-stigmatizing Nomenclature for Monkeypox Virus.” Among the authors are several officials from governmental health organizations in Africa and Western researchers from institutions including the University of Oxford and the University of Washington. The demand comes amidst a growing monkeypox outbreak which has now spread to more than 1500 people in 47

Lincoln-Named School to Change After Honest Abe Deemed Not BLM-Friendly

A San Francisco school district is planning to rename nearly one-third of its 125 schools named after allegedly controversial figures including Abraham Lincoln, Thomas Edison, and Senator Dianne Feinstein. The committee’s rationale for scrapping “Abraham Lincoln High School” in favor of more politically correct nomenclature is because the former president did not demonstrate that “black lives mattered to him”: Lincoln, like the presidents before him and most after, did not show through policy or rhetoric that black lives ever mattered to them outside of human capital and as casualties of wealth building. Lincoln’s policies also “proved to be detrimental to

University: Putting a Wedding Picture Behind You On A Zoom Call Makes You a Bigot

Researchers at taxpayer-funded Michigan State University and University of Colorado are attempting to root out “unconscious bias in virtual meetings,” advocating ridiculous remedies such as abstaining from using a heterosexual wedding picture as a background since they “unintentionally reinforce the idea that marriage is most fitting between opposite sexes.” It’s clear the coronavirus, the catalyst for the shift to online meetings, hasn’t dampened universities’ resolve to push political correctness and identity politics. Professors Amy Bonomi and Nelia Viveiros, the co-authors of the article, view virtual meetings on platforms such as Zoom as another domain for “language, symbolism and nonverbal cues

Political Correctness Kills: Fearing ‘Racism’ Allegations, Italy Failed to Isolate Wuhan Travelers Early

The former President of the European and Italian Society for Virology attributed Italy’s unmatched surge in novel Coronavirus deaths – even allegedly surpassing China – to the government’s fear of being labeled “racist” for barring Chinese entry. Dr. Giorgio Palù, also a Professor of Virology and Microbiology at the University of Padova, expressed concern over the Italian government’s inadequate response to the virus, a grave flaw that has continued since the onset of the outbreak, in a CNN interview. Currently, Italy is leading globally with over 6,000 deaths and is likely to stop treatment for individuals over 80 and in

Banking App Bans Employee Use Of ‘Blacklist,’ ‘Hey Guys,’ and ‘Elephant In The Room’

Monzo, a British neobank loved by millennials, has banned its employees from using terms like “blacklist,” “elephant in the room,” and “hey guys” in pursuit of “openness and inclusivity.” The banking giant, which has over 40,000 people open an account every week, released a “tone of voice” guide that instructs its employees on the company’s vernacular. The guide itself is unbearably “millennial” in a variety of ways: it offers advice on emoji usage, instructs against using formal words, and strives to craft a tone that’s “open, inclusive and welcoming to everyone.”   And it also takes a deep dive into

Britain’s Government Health Service Could Deny Treatment to Patients Deemed ‘Racist,’ or ‘Homophobic’

As the left pushes America towards government healthcare, news has emerged that patients deemed “racist,” “sexist,” or “homophobic” by the government in the United Kingdom could be denied medical care in facilities around the country. The policy – set to be implemented in April – expands upon the “rights” of medical professionals to refuse “non-critical” services to those deemed “homophobic, sexist or racist.” The addition of the language that previously allowed medical professionals to refuse services to those being verbally or physically abusive is coupled with broader authority for British police and the Crown Prosecution Service to investigate and prosecute
