Britain has banned the Chinese Communist Party-linked technology company Huawei from its technology infrastructure following months of pressure from campaigners both inside and outside the United Kingdom. Huawei, long seen as a threat to Western national security, was effectively blocked by both technology experts in Britain’s National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC), as well as figures such as President Donald Trump, former White House chief strategist Steve Bannon, Brexit leader Nigel Farage, and National Pulse editor Raheem Kassam.
