While Another Cathedral Burns Overseas, U.S. Media TOTALLY Ignores Attacks on Churches Across America

Start

Despite a barrage of vandalism and other attacks on churches across the U.S. and a fire ripping through nearly 600-year-old cathedral in France, left-wing establishment media outlets have ignored the clear display of anti-Christian violence.

Over the weekend of July 12th, at least six churches were desecrated in the U.S., and at the time of writing, not one mainstream media outlet has dedicated a shred of airtime to the attacks.

Roughly a week later, the historic Cathedral of St Peter and St Paul of Nantes, erected in 1434, caught fire. The flames, believed by authorities to be set intentionally, perhaps by an African migrant, completely gutted the French Cathedral.

It’s clear the number and intensity of church attacks demonstrates the phenomenon is deserving of media attention.

For example, out of the 270 minutes of NBC, ABC, and CBS nightly news coverage from Friday, July 10th through Sunday, July 12th, the attacks were ignored in favor of covering the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

In contrast, these same outlets are quick to cover Mosques being assaulted and alleged hate crimes, even before verifying the validity of the events, such as the notorious hoaxer Jussie Smollett.

In just two days, three Virgin Mary statues were defaced or set ablaze at Catholic parishes across the U.S. In Florida, an individual rammed a minivan into a Catholic church before setting the building on fire as those inside prepared for mass, a California church was also engulfed in devastating flames, and a Texas church was destroyed and robbed. Only local news outlets reported on these events.

Given Christianity’s status as the world’s most persecuted religion, the establishment media’s willingness to turn a blind eye to the attacks – posing a clear threat to Christians’ abilities to worship soundly – is perpetuating this cycle of this prejudice.
