The law firm of Kirkland & Ellis has withdrawn from representing Pennsylvania Secretary of State Kathy Boockvar in the Trump campaign’s lawsuit against her.
Announced on November 20th, a 3-page court document reveals that “Daniel Donovan, Susan Davies, and Michael Glick move to withdraw pursuant to Pennsylvania Rule of Professional Conduct 1.16(b)(1).” The aforementioned individuals compose the Kirkland & Ellis lawyers representing Boockvar.
Now, however, the Secretary of State’s defense is left to the firms Kramer Levin, Myers Brier & Kelly, and the Pennsylvania Attorney General.
