KASSAM: Don’t Call Them ‘RINOs’ – Call Them ‘Conservatives Under Notional Terms’.

Editor-in-chief of The National Pulse Raheem Kassam joined Donald Trump Jr. for a new episode of the Triggered podcast, telling the 45th President’s son it is time to retire the moniker “Republicans In Name Only” (RINOs) in favor of “Conservatives Under Notional Terms” (CUNTs).

“You know, people like to say ‘RINOs’… I have a different phrase that I like to use for them, I wonder if you can figure out the acronym: It’s ‘Conservatives Under Notional Terms’.”

Don Jr. was both amused and enthusiastic: “So much better. Can we just please replace ‘RINOS’ with Conservatives Under Notional Terms? It’s so much better, it’s so much better,” he said.

“I know there’s five percent of the people that have a problem with language, and I get it… but we’ve got bigger things to worry about. It’s much better phraseology for, essentially the same thing – the same thing with an exclamation point,” he added, comparing it to the involuntary rebrand of Jeb Bush as Jeb! in 2016.

Kassam, for his part, argued his terminology was simply “more accurate” for the people being described.

“They’re not rhinos, are they? They’re not big scary creatures that actually make a dent in anything and can chase anybody off. They’re frauds, they’re phoneys – they’re Conservatives Under Notional Terms.”

The combination of minerals found in rocks on Mars could be a potential indicator of microbial life. These minerals appear to have formed through electron-transfer reactions between sediment and organic matter, a process that microbes could use to produce energy for growth. However, the minerals can also form through non-biological processes, such as high temperatures, acidic conditions, or organic compound binding.

The discovery is particularly notable because it involves some of the youngest sedimentary rocks studied during the mission. This challenges earlier assumptions that evidence of ancient life would only be found in older formations. It also suggests that Mars may have been habitable for a longer period or later in its history than previously believed.

“Astrobiological claims, particularly those related to the potential discovery of past extraterrestrial life, require extraordinary evidence,” said Katie Stack Morgan, Perseverance’s project scientist at the National Aeronautics and Space Administration’s (NASA) Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL). She emphasized the importance of peer-reviewed publication to validate findings.

The scientific community utilizes tools like the CoLD scale and Standards of Evidence to evaluate potential signs of life. These frameworks help determine the level of confidence in data suggesting extraterrestrial life, improving the rigor of such claims.

Since landing at Jezero Crater in February 2021, the Perseverance rover has collected 27 rock cores. The rover is equipped with advanced instruments, including a weather station and swatches of spacesuit material for future human mission studies. NASA JPL, managed by Caltech, oversees the rover’s operations as part of NASA’s Mars Exploration Program.

“ICE has received more than 141,000 applications from patriotic Americans who want to defend the homeland by removing the worst of the worst criminal illegal aliens from the U.S. We have already given more than 18,000 tentative job offers,” Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Kristi Noem stated, adding: “Americans are answering their country’s call to serve and help remove murderers, pedophiles, rapists, terrorists, and gang members from our country.”

ICE agents have undertaken a number of large-scale immigration enforcement actions in major cities like Los Angeles, California, Chicago, Illinois, and Washington, D.C., targeting foreigners in the country illegally who have criminal charges or convictions. New detention centers, such as “Alligator Alcatraz” in Florida, have been established to hold illegals before deportation.

Notably, the “One Big Beautiful Bill Act,” signed by President Donald J. Trump in July, funds 10,000 new ICE positions and eliminates the age cap for applicants—aimed at encouraging retired law enforcement officers to consider joining the agency.

The National Pulse reported on Monday that ICE is launching a major immigration enforcement operation in Chicago—dubbed the ‘Midway Blitz’—which is utilizing a U.S. Navy facility on Lake Michigan just north of the Democrat-controlled city. “This ICE operation will target the criminal illegal aliens who flocked to Chicago and Illinois because they knew Governor Pritzker and his sanctuary policies would protect them and allow them to roam free on American streets,” DHS stated on X (formerly Twitter).

A group of family members of 9/11 victims is celebrating a federal court ruling that allows their lawsuit, aimed at holding Saudi Arabia accountable for its alleged role in the 2001 terrorist attacks, to proceed. Senior U.S. District Court Judge George Daniels found it is reasonable to infer, as claimed in the lawsuit, that two individuals named in the lawsuit were sent by elements of the Saudi government to the United States in an effort to provide support to the al-Qaeda terrorists plotting the attack.

“Some of the disputed facts cannot be resolved at this stage of the litigation, because weighing the evidence or assessing witnesses’ credibility will need to take place at trial,” Judge Daniels wrote in his 45-page ruling. The federal judge continued: “Nonetheless, the entire body of undisputed facts, and the Court’s preliminary assessment of certain disputed facts, are adequate for the Court to conclude that the exercise of subject matter jurisdiction is appropriate here.”

One of the lead plaintiffs, Brett Eagleson—the son of 9/11 victim Jon Eagleson—called the ruling a “historic, landmark decision” that is based on “indefensible evidence” that the Saudi government played a role in the attack.

“There were at least 13 Saudi government officials connected to the Ministry of Islamic Affairs. They were working and operating in and out of the Saudi consulates and the Saudi embassies,” Eagleson said, continuing: “They were funneling support from the Ministry of Islamic Affairs in Washington, D.C., to their embassies in San Diego, to the hijackers’ handlers, right down to the hijackers themselves.”

“It’s been 24 years of pain and anguish and fighting for our families. What happened to this community, what happened to America that day, was horrific. However, what’s happening currently and what’s been happening for the past 24 years has been an abomination,” he added.

The ruling likely clears the way for the lawsuit to proceed to trial. Saudi Arabia has persistently denied claims of its involvement in 9/11.

Former Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro has been convicted by a majority of Brazil’s controversial Supreme Court for attempting to orchestrate a coup to stay in power after losing the 2022 presidential election. The decision marks the first time in the country’s history that a former president has been found guilty of crimes against democracy.

Bolsonaro, a populist ally of President Donald J. Trump who served from 2019 to 2023, was convicted on five criminal counts, including plotting to overthrow democratic institutions, being part of an armed criminal group, and encouraging political violence. He was also accused of posing a threat to national heritage and state assets. Three justices voted to convict, while one, Luiz Fux, voted for acquittal. The dissent opens the door for potential appeals or legal challenges. Bolsonaro, 70, now faces a maximum prison sentence of 40 years.

“This criminal case is almost a meeting between Brazil and its past, its present, and its future,” Justice Carmen Lucia said in her remarks before voting to convict. She added that Bolsonaro had acted “with the purpose of eroding democracy and institutions.”

Prosecutors alleged that Bolsonaro and his allies planned to reject the results of the 2022 election, in which he officially lost to far-left Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, and were preparing to use military force to stay in power. The investigation has also supposedly uncovered plots to target Supreme Court justices and attempts to incite violent unrest in the capital. Bolsonaro has denied any wrongdoing.

Bolsonaro’s wife, Michelle, responded to the court in a statement posted on social media, saying, “When coherence and a sense of justice prevail over vengeance and lies, there is no room for cruel persecution or biased judgments.”

The ruling is the latest in a series of legal setbacks for the populist leader. In 2023, Bolsonaro was barred from holding public office until 2030 after the country’s electoral court ruled that he had abused his power and cast unfounded doubts on Brazil’s machine-based voting system. The court found that his public statements questioning the integrity of electronic voting machines and attempting to return to paper ballots had undermined the democratic process.

In July 2025, Bolsonaro was detained amid concerns he might try to flee to the United States to seek political asylum. President Donald J. Trump has been lobbying on his behalf, threatening heavy sanctions and tariffs on Brazil for what he sees as a politically motivated witch-hunt.

“It’s bullshit, a complete rewriting of history,” Hasan responded, laughing along with Omar, who continued: “Yeah, there is nothing more effed up, you know, like, than to completely pretend that his words and actions have not been recorded and in existence for the last decade or so.”

Notably, Hasan, an Indian-heritage British immigrant, has been recorded in the past making many controversial statements, for instance by calling non-Muslims “cattle” who “live their lives as animals.”

Three former senior Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) officials—Brian Driscoll, Steve Jensen, and Spencer Evans—have filed a federal lawsuit alleging they were unlawfully fired last month as part of a politically motivated purge under pressure from the Trump administration. The lawsuit accuses FBI Director Kash Patel of knowingly carrying out “likely illegal” firings to maintain his position, with Patel allegedly saying, “The FBI tried to put the President in jail and he hasn’t forgotten it.”

Notably, one of the key attorneys representing the fired FBI officials is Abbe Lowell, who has emerged as a central figure in Democrat-led lawfare efforts to hamper President Donald J. Trump’s efforts to reform the federal government. Lowell is also currently representing fired Federal Reserve Board of Governors member Lisa Cook, who is suing the Trump administration to prevent her removal. Lowell previously represented Hunter Biden against federal tax evasion charges, and his former law firm, Winston & Strawn, is still pursuing Biden for unpaid legal fees.

The lawsuit also names Attorney General Pam Bondi, the FBI, the Justice Department (DOJ), and the Executive Office of the President as defendants. It seeks reinstatement of the plaintiffs, back pay, and a declaration that the firings were illegal. The plaintiffs allege that their terminations have caused reputational harm and undermined their future employment prospects.

Lowell claims the case demonstrates how FBI leadership is “carrying out political orders to punish law enforcement agents for doing their jobs.” Meanwhile, Chris Mattei—another attorney for the plaintiffs—argues, “Their firing from the FBI, taken together, has put every American at greater risk.” Driscoll, a former acting FBI director and commander of the agency’s hostage rescue team, claims he resisted orders to fire personnel based on their case assignments, including an agent linked to investigations involving President Trump.

The Consumer Price Index (CPI) crept up in August. Headline CPI rose 2.9 percent year-over-year, while core CPI increased 3.1 percent. While the numbers suggest that inflation may be stubbornly holding steady just above the Federal Reserve’s two percent target, they also reveal that—despite predictions by most critics—President Donald J. Trump’s tariffs are having little overall impact on prices for American consumers.

Shelter (housing) was the single largest driver of price increases in the month-over-month CPI and is reflected similarly year-over-year. Meanwhile, goods inflation remains muted, undermining assertions that U.S. tariffs on foreign experts would cause prices to surge or reignite inflationary pressure.

Concerningly, the muted goods inflation—when taken with Wednesday’s Producer Price Index (PPI) print—gives credence to concerns about deflationary pressure in the economy. The deviation between the rate of increase in prices between shelter and goods suggests possible lagging demand among consumers for everyday items.

The headline CPI numbers may give the Federal Reserve a degree of pause at next week’s Federal Open Market Committee (FOMC) meeting. However, the lack of acceleration in goods prices, the deflationary PPI print from Wednesday, and the concerning August jobs numbers—along with the significant downward benchmark revision for the labor market for the end of 2024—have Wall Street still anticipating the Fed moving to reduce interest rates.

Anti-Trump attorney George Conway, in a Thursday post on X (formerly Twitter), likened Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk to Horst Wessel, a member of the Sturmabteilung (SA), or stormtroopers, which served as the early paramilitary wing of the Nazi Party in Germany. Kirk, who was assassinated at Utah Valley University on Wednesday, was known for his embrace and encouragement of free speech, open debate, and political dialogue—a far cry from the beliefs of Wessel and the Nazi Party.

“Horst Wessel, 1907–1930,” Conway wrote, linking to Wessel’s Wikipedia page and attaching an image of Wessel in his SA uniform. Wessel was shot and killed by two communists, becoming a martyr for the Nazi movement.

The vile comparison by Conway is only worsened by early reports that the rifle believed to have been used by the assassin was found along with ammunition engraved with so-called anti-fascist slogans. This suggests that erroneous views about Kirk’s beliefs, encouraged by the extreme rhetoric of leftist ideologues, politicians, and their corporate media allies, may have motivated his killer.


Following backlash to his initial post, Conway doubled down. Responding to a post by Katie Miller, the wife of Jewish White House Deputy Chief of Staff Stephen Miller, which stated, “It’s a real treat to see all these Liberals condemn political violence now. You called us Hitler. You called us Nazis. You called us Racists. You have blood on your hands,” Conway posted a clip from the German satire program Browser Ballett, again likening conservatives to Nazis.

Conway’s posts are more troubling in light of his recent campaign against federal immigration enforcement agents. The National Pulse reported last week that corporate filings have revealed that George Conway and former Congresswoman and mega lobbyist Barbara Comstock are key figures funding a far-left flyer campaign urging U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents to “take off your masks” and face public scrutiny, despite the fact that this would open them to attacks by gangsters and political extremists.

The posters, funded by Home of the Brave USA, Inc., have appeared at bus stops and on buildings in Washington, D.C., with Raheem Kassam, Editor-in-Chief of The National Pulse, noting in a recent video report, “It’s funny, it was just a couple of years ago, wasn’t it, that it was actually the political left screaming about putting masks on, and now there are signs saying take your masks off,” Kassam remarked, noting that ICE “have to remain masked a lot of the time for fear of reprisals simply for doing their jobs.”

Charlie Kirk, the founder of Turning Point USA, who was assassinated at Utah Valley University on Wednesday, was remembered by Raheem Kassam, Editor-in-Chief of The National Pulse, in conversation with Jack Posobiec on Real America’s Voice on Thursday.

Kassam recounted his first meeting with Kirk at the Trump Hotel in Washington, D.C., telling Posobiec, “You try to get a measure of a person as quickly as possible, and I thought to myself, ‘Is just your sort of run-of-the-mill politico, trying to carve a niche out for themselves in Washington, D.C.? Perhaps run for a seat somewhere and then sell out their principles?’ And Charlie couldn’t have been more the polar opposite of that; you could tell that immediately.”

“Everything he did was with drive, and with passion, and with love, and with charm, and with help, and with respect, and with faith, and with heart, and with principle, and with courage… And, you know, I pride myself on having words, the best words, but there aren’t enough to describe [Charlie],” he continued.

Kassam described Kirk as a “remarkable doer,” stressing that he “understood the finitude of the time we all have, and he put every second to use in a way that, frankly, embarrasses me and probably embarrasses us all.”

Vice President J.D. Vance is set to transport Kirk’s body back to his home state of Arizona aboard Air Force Two, and President Donald J. Trump has announced he will receive a posthumous Presidential Medal of Freedom.

As of the time of publication, the authorities have not detained Kirk’s assassin, who shot him in the neck while he was debating students at an open-air American Comeback Tour event. However, the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) has released images of a person of interest they are searching for, and law enforcement sources have indicated that the suspected murder weapon, a hunting rifle, was found with ammunition engraved with Antifa and transgender slogans.

The incoming president of the Oxford Union at Oxford University, England, known for its robust debates on a variety of issues featuring prominent speakers from academia, media, politics, and more, appeared to celebrate the shooting of Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk in the aftermath of his assassination at Utah Valley University.

Leaked group chat discussions allegedly reveal that George Abarayone, president-elect of the Oxford Union, was jubilant about Charlie Kirk being shot, exclaiming, “CHARLIE KIRK GOT SHOT LET’S F**KING GO” with a prayer emoji.

The X (formerly Twitter) account Facts UK was the first to leak the alleged chat messages, subsequently leaking others that showed Abarayone deleted his initial comment. However, quotes of the comment were preserved.

Another user in the chat named Borys commented, “Lmfao, he’s pro guns,” to which Abaraonye replied, “It really writes itself, doesn’t it?” Notably, Abarayone had debated Kirk at the Oxford Union just months prior.

Many leftists have celebrated the assassination of Kirk or downplayed his death, including Members of the European Parliament (MEPs), who refused to engage in a moment of silence for Kirk on September 11.

So far, no suspect has been apprehended for Kirk’s assassination, but images of a person of interest have been released, and law enforcement sources say recovered ammunition linked to the suspected murder weapon was engraved with messages indicating support for Antifa and transgenderism.
