Billionaire Fund Boss David Rubenstein Says Trump Is ‘Serious Political Force,’ Would Win Election Today.

David Rubenstein, co-chairman of one of the world’s largest private equity funds, believes Donald Trump would most likely be reelected if the U.S. elections were held right now.

“If the election were held today it would be hard to see how Trump would lose that election,” said the billionaire founder of the Carlyle Group, which until 2015 was the number one private equity multinational in the world.

Speaking at the World Economic Forum (WEF) summit in Davos, Switzerland, Rubenstein said he did not think the Democrat-led court cases against Trump are “likely to change his momentum.”

“People should recognize that he’s a serious political force and not discount the fact that he could well be elected again,” he warned, citing the MAGA kingpin’s lead in key swing states.

European Central Bank (ECB) chief Christine Lagarde, sharing a panel with Rubenstein, reportedly rolled her eyes at the mention of Trump’s name, painting his possible return to office in dire terms.

“The best defense, if that’s the way we want to look at it, is attack,” said Lagarde, a former International Monetary Fund (IMF) and French government minister. “To attack properly, you need to be strong at home,” she added, arguing for more integration of the European Union’s member-states.

The Frenchwoman, convicted of negligence with public money in late 2016 but not punished, previously said Trump’s possible reelection “is clearly a threat” to the EU.

Other Davos attendees have been more measured, however. Jamie Dimon, CEO of JPMorgan Chase, conceded Trump had turned out to be “kind of right” on several important issues, citing China, NATO, immigration, and his tax reforms.

Former Cabinet Member Demands UK Govt Explain Farage Security Cuts Amid Rising Political Violence.

PULSE POINTS

WHAT HAPPENED: Former Conservative Party (Tory) chairman and Cabinet member David Davis has called on the British government to reinstate Nigel Farage’s police protection after it was slashed by 75 percent last month.

👤WHO WAS INVOLVED: Nigel Farage, David Davis, Home Secretary Shabana Mahmood, of the governing Labour Party, and Labour Members of Parliament (MPs) Jonathan Brash and Mike Tapp.

📍WHEN & WHERE: The funding cut was made last month in Britain, with Davis’s letter sent this week.

💬KEY QUOTE: “It strikes me that Mr Farage is a particularly high-profile target, arguably at greater risk than many Cabinet ministers.” – David Davis

🎯IMPACT: Concerns have been raised about political violence and the potential for attacks targeting high-profile conservatives in emulation of the assassination of Turning Point USA (TPUSA) founder Charlie Kirk.

IN FULL

The former chairman of the United Kingdom’s Conservative (Tory) Party, David Davis, is calling on the country’s ruling Labour Party to restore funding for Reform Party leader Nigel Farage‘s police protection. Last month, the government slashed funding for Farage’s security by 75 percent, according to the Reform Party.

“In the aftermath of the murders of [Labour politician] Jo Cox and [Tory politician Sir David Amess, and more recently the assassination of Charlie Kirk, we should not overlook the danger of copycat attacks,” Davis wrote in a letter to Home Secretary Shabana Mahmood, who has made inflammatory remarks about Farage in the past. “Accordingly, the risks to individuals in this category appear to be extremely high. It strikes me that Mr Farage is a particularly high-profile target, arguably at greater risk than many Cabinet ministers.”

Numerous election polls have shown Reform on course to make massive gains in Britain’s next election, gaining enough parliamentary seats for Farage to likely be able to form a government outright or lead a coalition. This surge in support has set off panic among the globalist elite, with Conservative former Prime Minister Boris Johnson recently calling Farage “extremely dangerous” regarding his policy toward Russia and Ukraine. The former prime minister went on to insinuate that Farage was a threat to national security.

Incumbent Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer, while speaking at the Labour Party conference in Liverpool recently, called Reform’s opposition to mass migration “racist.” Meanwhile, Mahmood has called Farage “a little bit worse than racist” and accused the Brexit leader of having “blown a very, very loud dog whistle to every racist in the country.” Earlier this week, anti-Trump Deputy Prime Minister David Lammy was forced to apologize for remarks where he accused Farage of having “once flirted with the Hitler Youth.”

Notably, rank-and-file Labour Members of Parliament (MPs) have used the situation to mock Farage, with Jonathan Brash calling him a “coward” and “pathetic” for expressing concern about threats. Similarly, Mike Tapp labeled Farage a “snowflake” for raising the issue.

During a television interview on Wednesday, Reform’s head of policy, Zia Yusuf,  accused Prime Minister Starmer of having “embarked on a campaign with his Cabinet to incite violence” against Farage.

Amazon Sent One Woman Hundreds of Ballots in This Dem State.

PULSE POINTS

WHAT HAPPENED: A Maine woman received 250 unused state election ballots in an Amazon package she ordered, prompting an investigation.

👤WHO WAS INVOLVED: Maine Secretary of State Shenna Bellows (D), Maine House Republican Leader Billy Bob Faulkingham, and voters in the state.

📍WHEN & WHERE: Newburgh, Maine, just days before mail-in voting begins for a state referendum on absentee voting regulations.

💬KEY QUOTE: “Safe and secure elections are my top priority. Law enforcement is working diligently to determine who is responsible, and they will be held accountable.” – Shenna Bellows

🎯IMPACT: The incident has raised serious concerns about election security, with calls for federal investigations and tighter voting regulations.

IN FULL

A woman in Newburgh, Maine, was stunned to discover 250 unused state election ballots inside an Amazon package she had ordered, which was supposed to contain coffee, rice, and paper plates. Speaking anonymously, the woman said the package appeared to have been opened and resealed before it arrived at her home.

After finding the ballots, she contacted local authorities, who helped transfer them to the Newburgh town clerk’s office. Maine Secretary of State Shenna Bellows (D) confirmed that an investigation has been launched into how the ballots ended up outside the official chain of custody. “Safe and secure elections are my top priority. As soon as we became aware of allegations of ballots being received outside of the appropriate chain of custody, I immediately initiated an investigation through my secretary of state’s law enforcement division,” Bellows said in a statement.

The incident has triggered calls for broader investigations. Maine House Republican Leader Billy Bob Faulkingham is urging U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi and Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) Director Kash Patel to open a federal probe. “The discovery of hundreds of authentic state ballots in a private Amazon delivery is beyond alarming. When ballots appear in household shipments of rice and toys, trust is shattered. Mainers deserve answers, accountability, and immediate action,” Faulkingham said.

Notably, Bellows attempted to unilaterally ban Donald J. Trump from appearing on Maine’s presidential primary ballots in 2023, alleging he had violated the Constitution’s insurrection clause. This suggests to some conservatives that she is a partisan actor who cannot be relied upon to uphold election integrity.

The campaign group Voter ID for ME reacted strongly to the scandal on social media, writing, “HUNDREDS of ballots are now turning up in Amazon packages?? This isn’t satire, fear mongering or political hyperbole. It’s reality. And it’s very likely not a one‑off, either. This is HUGE and means our elections are even MORE unsafe than we thought.”

The incident adds to a growing list of ballot-related concerns across the country. In Rhode Island, a Democrat lawmaker was recently accused of distributing misleading “sample ballots” that omitted opposing party candidates. In Pennsylvania, thousands of overseas military ballots have been challenged due to discrepancies. A 2025 FBI report also concluded that China attempted to exploit mail-in ballots to influence the 2020 election.

This has all fueled efforts to restrict mail-in voting, including a campaign by President Donald J. Trump calling for a ban on mail-in ballots and electronic voting machines.

Newsom Vows to Slash Funding of Universities That Sign Trump ‘Compact for Academic Excellence.’

PULSE POINTS

WHAT HAPPENED: California Governor Gavin Newsom (D) threatened to cut state funding to universities that sign President Donald J. Trump’s “Compact for Academic Excellence in Higher Education.”

👤WHO WAS INVOLVED: Gov. Newsom, President Trump, White House Deputy Press Secretary Abigail Jackson, and California universities.

📍WHEN & WHERE: The threat was posted online by Newsom amidst ongoing discussions about the compact and its implementation at universities, including the University of Southern California.

💬KEY QUOTE: “By opposing the compact, Newsom is opposing efforts to cap wild tuition hikes and to protect free speech,” said White House Deputy Press Secretary Abigail Jackson.

🎯IMPACT: The compact seeks to ensure academic freedom, protect free speech, and address anti-Semitism, but Newsom’s opposition could limit its adoption in California.

IN FULL

California Governor Gavin Newsom (D) announced he intends to withhold public funding from any universities in the state that sign President Donald J. Trump’s “Compact for Academic Excellence in Higher Education.” While the Trump White House emphasized that the compact is aimed at bolstering academic freedom and safeguarding conservative voices, Newsom alleges that the agreement is meant to impose “radical conservative ideological restrictions” on higher education institutions.

“If any California university signs this radical agreement, they’ll lose billions in state funding—including Cal Grants—instantly. California will not bankroll schools that sell out their students, professors, researchers, and surrender academic freedom,” Newsom wrote in a post on X (formerly Twitter), adding: “California universities that bend to the will of Donald Trump and sign this insane ‘compact’ will lose billions in state funding—IMMEDIATELY. California will not bankroll schools that sign away academic freedom.”

The compact has reportedly been presented to the University of Southern California (USC)—along with at least eight other institutions—and lays out 10 provisions the school must adopt to receive a boost in federal funding. Among requirements are equality in admissions without racial or gender preferences, ensuring free speech and diverse viewpoints, and protecting women’s sports and locker rooms by recognizing biological sex distinctions.

Other provisions address financial responsibility, avoiding foreign entanglements, and institutional neutrality on political and social issues. The compact also outlines enforcement mechanisms, including oversight by an external monitor reporting to the Department of Justice (DOJ).

Newsom did not specify which provisions he found objectionable, referring to them only as “insane.” White House Deputy Press Secretary Abigail Jackson responded to the governor’s threat, stating that Newsom should “worry about the disaster he’s created in his own state,” citing policies that allow transgender athletes in girls’ sports.

Jackson added, “By opposing the compact, Newsom is opposing efforts to cap wild tuition hikes and to protect free speech.”

Dem Attorney General Candidate Fantasizes About Political Murder.

PULSE POINTS

WHAT HAPPENED: Disturbing text messages sent by the Democratic Party’s nominee for Virginia Attorney General, Jay Jones, have surfaced, raising grave questions about his temperament and judgment.

👤WHO WAS INVOLVED: Jay Jones, Virginia Delegate Carrie Coyne, Virginia House Speaker Todd Gilbert, and Virginia Attorney General Jason Miyares.

📍WHEN & WHERE: The politically violent messages were sent on August 8, 2022, and resurfaced on Friday, October 3, 2025.

💬KEY QUOTE: “I’ve told you this before. Only when people feel pain personally do they move on policy.” — Jay Jones

🎯IMPACT: The messages reveal a brutal and violent side to Jones, likely turning off voters in a close race for Attorney General.

IN FULL

Disturbing text messages sent by the Democratic Party’s nominee for Virginia Attorney General, Jay Jones, have surfaced, raising grave questions about his temperament and judgment. The messages, sent on August 8, 2022, by Jones to Republican House Delegate Carrie Coyne, reveal a more violent and cruelly flipant side to Jones, who is challenging incumbent Attorney General Jason Miyares (R).

Jones offers an unsolicited rant in the messages, trashing the centrist political legacy of long-time state lawmaker Joe Johnson Jr., who had recently passed away. Additionally, he rages about the “glowing” praise heaped on Johnson by Virginia House Speaker Todd Gilbert, openly wondering what “that POS would say about me if I died.”

As the text messages continued, Jones’s language became more violent. In one, he wrote, “If those guys die before me, I will go to their funerals to piss on their graves” to “send them out awash in something.” In other messages, Jones challenges Coyne to a game of hypothetical murder, asking which two of three people she would opt to kill, and offering his own choice without solicitation.

“Three people, two bullets. Gilbert, hitler, and pol pot. Gilbert gets two bullets to the head.  Spoiler: put Gilbert in the crew with the two worst people you know and he receives both bullets every time,” he wrote, prompting Coyne to reply: “Jay. Please stop.”

“It really bothers me when you talk about hurting people or wishing death on them. It isn’t ok. No matter who they are,” Coyne added, seemingly suggesting this wasn’t the first time Jones violently fantasized about physically harming others. However, Jones defended his violent thoughts, writing to Coyne: “I’ve told you this before. Only when people feel pain personally do they move on policy.”

Speaking with the media this week, Coyne said she sent the violent texts to Speaker Gilert at the time. “On August 8, 2022, I had a text conversation with Jay Jones, what he said was not just disturbing but disqualifying for anyone who wants to seek public office,” Coyne said in a statement, adding: “Jay Jones wished violence on the children of a colleague and joked about shooting Todd Gilbert. It’s disgusting and unbecoming of any public official.”

Responding to the revelations, which could damage his thus far competitive bid for Virginia Attorney General, Jones said in a statement, “Like all people, I’ve sent text messages that I regret and I believe that violent rhetoric has no place in our politics.”

He then tried to blame the leaked messages on his opponent and President Donald J. Trump.

Far-Left SPLC Trained Biden DOJ, Got Access to Federal ‘Hate’ Data.

PULSE POINTS

WHAT HAPPENED: The Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) was involved in training Joe Biden-era Department of Justice (DOJ) prosecutors and had exclusive access to federal hate crime data, according to documents obtained by America First Legal (AFL).

👤WHO WAS INVOLVED: The SPLC, DOJ prosecutors, former President Joe Biden, former Attorney General Merrick Garland, and America First Legal (AFL).

📍WHEN & WHERE: The collaboration occurred during former President Biden’s term, with specific interactions noted from 2022 to 2023.

💬KEY QUOTE:  “The SPLC long ago abandoned civil rights work and turned into a partisan smear machine.” — Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) Director Kash Patel

🎯IMPACT: FBI Director Kash Patel announced on October 3, 2025, that the FBI had cut all ties with the organization.

IN FULL

The Department of Justice (DOJ) under former President Joe Biden partnered extensively with the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC), granting the leftist group access to sensitive federal hate crime data and including it in training sessions for prosecutors, according to documents obtained by America First Legal (AFL). The collaboration was part of a broader strategy by the DOJ’s Civil Rights Division to coordinate with progressive organizations on issues like election security, racial profiling, and anti-LBGT violence.

Records, including internal emails, meeting schedules, and memos, reveal that by 2022, DOJ officials were actively soliciting the SPLC for input on civil rights priorities. In an email dated October 28, 2022, former Assistant Attorney General Kristen Clarke wrote to SPLC President Margaret Huang, “I wanted to flag some of our work on prison conditions and other work in the Deep South for your awareness, and see if there are federal civil rights matters of concern that we should be tracking.”

A few weeks later, SPLC representatives attended a November 14, 2022, meeting with Clarke, Deputy Attorney General Lisa Monaco, and Associate Attorney General Vanita Gupta, alongside other groups like the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) and the Brennan Center for Justice.

In December 2022, the SPLC was given early, embargoed access to Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) hate crime data. “I appreciated getting an embargoed copy,” wrote SPLC senior policy counsel Michael Lieberman in a December 6 email to DOJ official Robert Moossy Jr. “I just finished my draft backgrounder and talking points and would love to talk to you about the report.”

The DOJ continued to include SPLC in civil rights cases and events into at least 2023. In November of that year, SPLC research analyst R.G. Cravens addressed a DOJ hate crimes symposium attended by more than 100 prosecutors. Cravens discussed anti-LGBT movements and, according to AFL, falsely linked a lawsuit against Target to bomb threats, which the cited article itself confirmed originated from left-wing activists.

“It was a total moral failing for the Biden Department of Justice to partner with a known partisan smear factory on something as important as hate-crime enforcement,” AFL president Gene Hamilton said in a statement.

Criticism of the SPLC’s involvement in DOJ work intensified after FBI Director Kash Patel announced on October 3, 2025, that the FBI had cut all ties with the organization. “The SPLC long ago abandoned civil rights work and turned into a partisan smear machine,” Patel said.

He added that the SPLC’s “hate map” had been used to defame “mainstream Americans” and had inspired violence, potentially including the assassination of Turning Point USA (TPUSA) founder Charlie Kirk.

The Israeli Government Is Bringing Tommy Robinson to Jerusalem.

PULSE POINTS

WHAT HAPPENED: British activist Tommy Robinson is set to visit Israel, hosted by Israeli government minister Amichai Chikli, following a jihadist terror attack on a synagogue in Manchester, England.

👤WHO WAS INVOLVED: Amichai Chikli, Israel’s Minister of Diaspora and Combating Antisemitism, and Tommy Robinson.

📍WHEN & WHERE: Mid-October in Jerusalem, Israel.

💬KEY QUOTE: “Tommy is a courageous leader on the front line against radical Islam.” – Amichai Chikli

🎯IMPACT: The visit aims to strengthen bonds between Israel and allies in the fight against anti-Semitism and radical Islam, but will likely cause friction with the British state, which has long despised Robinson for his outspoken activism against Muslim grooming gangs, Islamism, and mass migration.

IN FULL

Following the Yom Kippur terrorist attack in Manchester, England, which left two Jews dead and several others injured at the hands of a Syrian immigrant, Amichai Chikli, Israel’s Minister of Diaspora and Combating Antisemitism, announced that British activist Tommy Robinson has been invited to Jerusalem. Robinson is known for his strong stance against radical Islam and grooming gangs, which has often seen him persecuted by the British authorities.

“In the wake of the horrific Manchester terrorist attack, Israel and the Jewish people stand firmly with our allies in the United Kingdom,” Chikli said in a statement posted to X (formerly Twitter), adding that “Tommy is a courageous leader on the front line against radical Islam.”

“He has proven himself a true friend of Israel and the Jewish people, unafraid to speak the truth and confront hate,” he continued, adding: “Israel will always stand with the Jewish community and our allies worldwide. Together with friends like Tommy Robinson, we will build stronger bridges of solidarity, fight terror, and defend Western civilization and our shared values.”

Robinson responded that “We will always stand with freedom and democracy with people of Israel & the Jewish population of Britain in the face of jihad & tyranny,” with Chikli replying, “God bless you – looking forward to having you with us in Jerusalem.”

Chikli emphasized the importance of this visit, stating, “Tommy is a courageous leader on the front line against radical Islam.” The visit is scheduled for mid-October in Jerusalem.

The outreach comes as Israel’s relationship with British Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer and his Labour Party government, which despises Robinson, is increasingly strained. The Jewish State strongly criticized Starmer’s move to recognize “Palestine” in recent weeks, and Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Sa’ar said following the Manchester attack, “The truth must be told: blatant and rampant antisemitic and anti-Israeli incitement, as well as calls of support for terror, have recently become a widespread phenomenon in the streets of London, in cities across Britain, and on its campuses.”

He added: “The authorities in Britain have failed to take the necessary action to curb this toxic wave of antisemitism and have effectively allowed it to persist. We expect more than words from the Starmer government. We expect and demand a change of course, effective action, and enforcement against the rampant antisemitic and anti-Israeli incitement in Britain.”

Trump Says ‘Israel Must Immediately Stop the Bombing’ as Hamas Caves.

PULSE POINTS

WHAT HAPPENED: Hamas has formally agreed to free its remaining Israeli hostages in response to President Donald J. Trump’s peace plan for Gaza, but with some conditions.

👤WHO WAS INVOLVED: Donald J. Trump, Hamas, Israel.

📍WHEN & WHERE: Hamas responded to the peace plan on October 3.

💬KEY QUOTE: “Israel must immediately stop the bombing of Gaza, so that we can get the Hostages out safely and quickly! Right now, it’s far too dangerous to do that. We are already in discussions on details to be worked out. This is not about Gaza alone, this is about long sought PEACE in the Middle East.” – Donald Trump

🎯IMPACT: The announcement could signal the end of the hostilities between Israel and Hamas and the beginning of the peace process for Gaza.

IN FULL

Hamas has formally responded to President Donald J. Trump’s latest peace proposal aimed at ending the war in Gaza, saying it agrees in principle to release all remaining hostages, but only under certain conditions. The group said it is ready to begin immediate talks with mediators to finalize the details of the agreement.

The response, made public on Thursday, signals the jihadist group’s willingness to engage with the terms of the U.S. plan, which calls for a full ceasefire, the return of Israeli hostages, including the bodies of the deceased, and the exchange of around 2,000 Palestinian prisoners.

However, Hamas says that the hostage release will depend on “field conditions necessary for the exchange process,” suggesting it may not be able to meet the 72-hour deadline for releasing all hostages issued by Trump. In past discussions, Hamas has told mediators it is uncertain about the whereabouts of some hostages’ remains, which may cause delays in fulfilling that part of the deal.

The group reiterated its support for transferring authority in Gaza to an independent body of Palestinian technocrats, in line with the U.S. proposal. “As for what was included in President Trump’s proposal regarding other issues related to the future of the Gaza Strip and the inalienable rights of the Palestinian people, this… will be discussed through a comprehensive Palestinian national framework, which Hamas will be part of,” the group said. However, that position appears to conflict with the Trump plan’s requirement that Hamas have no direct or indirect role in Gaza’s postwar administration.

“Based on the Statement just issued by Hamas, I believe they are ready for a lasting PEACE,” Trump responded on his Truth Social platform. “Israel must immediately stop the bombing of Gaza, so that we can get the Hostages out safely and quickly! Right now, it’s far too dangerous to do that. We are already in discussions on details to be worked out. This is not about Gaza alone, this is about long sought PEACE in the Middle East,” he stressed.

Trump’s proposal, announced earlier this week, was described by his administration as a “final offer” and was backed by Israel and several Arab governments.

UNC Reinstates Prof Linked to Far-Left Gun Club, Threats of Political Violence.

PULSE POINTS

WHAT HAPPENED: A UNC professor was reinstated after a threat assessment regarding political violence concerns and ties to a far-left gun club.

👤WHO WAS INVOLVED: Teaching Associate Professor Dwayne Dixon and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

📍WHEN & WHERE: October 3, 2025, at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

💬KEY QUOTE: “I will not be intimidated.” – Dwayne Dixon

🎯IMPACT: The decision to reinstate Dixon follows pressure from the ACLU and highlights ongoing debates about free speech and political violence.

IN FULL

The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill has reinstated Teaching Associate Professor Dwayne Dixon after a supposedly detailed threat assessment, despite concerns over ties to a far-left gun club and support for political violence. This decision has sparked controversy, with Andrew Kolvet, a friend of assassinated conservative organizer Charlie Kirk and spokesman for his Turning Point USA (TPUSA) organization, describing it as “unbelievable.”

Dean Stoyer, Vice Chancellor for Communications and Marketing at the university, claimed that the assessment found no evidence that Dixon posed a threat to the university community or breached any university policies. The reinstatement followed a threat of legal action from the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) of North Carolina, which argued that Dixon’s constitutional rights to free speech and association under the First Amendment were being violated by his initial suspension.

Dixon, a professor of Asian and Middle Eastern Studies, is linked to Redneck Revolt, which is “an offshoot of the John Brown Gun Club,” according to the Counter Extremism Project. Fox News Digital alleges that Dixon personally “advocat[ed] for armed political action” at a 2018 panel hosted by Harvard University’s Carr-Ryan Center for Human Rights, “I’m here to smash White supremacist capitalism, not defend civil society.”

Notably, the John Brown Club—believed to be a rebranding of or spiritual successor to the John Brown Gun Club, named for 19th-century abolitionist and insurrectionist John Brown—posted flyers at Georgetown University after Charlie Kirk’s assassination, cheering the murder and inviting students to join “The only political group that celebrates when Nazis die.”

“Why is UNC employing a monster who is a member of a group celebrating political assassination?” Kolvet demanded, adding that “Dixon should be fired immediately. This is not about free speech. This is about inciting and fomenting more political violence.”

Federal Agencies Dismantle Far-Left Protest Encampment in D.C.

PULSE POINTS

WHAT HAPPENED: The National Park Service and U.S. Park Police cleared out a protest encampment outside Union Station in Washington, D.C.

👤WHO WAS INVOLVED: The National Park Service, U.S. Park Police, the protest group FLARE (For Liberation and Resistance Everywhere), and The National Pulse Editor-in-Chief Raheem Kassam.

📍WHEN & WHERE: Friday morning, outside Union Station in Washington, D.C.

💬KEY QUOTE: “The permitted event violated the terms of their permit. The permit was revoked, and the event was removed.” – Department of the Interior spokesman.

🎯IMPACT: Protestors were removed, with allegations of assault against an officer being cited as part of the reasoning.

IN FULL

On Friday morning, the National Park Service and U.S. Park Police dismantled a protest encampment outside Union Station in Washington, D.C. The encampment, run by FLARE (For Liberation and Resistance Everywhere), had been operating around the clock since May.

The protesters, who have previously harassed The National Pulse Editor-in-Chief Raheem Kassam and his customers at his Butterworth’s restaurant, were calling for the impeachment and removal of President Donald J. Trump, among other demands. A Department of the Interior spokesman stated that the protest breached its permit conditions, saying, “The permitted event violated the terms of their permit. The permit was revoked, and the event was removed.”

Protesters argued they were evicted partly because one member, Jake Adams, was accused of assaulting an officer. Adams denied the allegation, claiming, “I talked to the permit office yesterday and there was no forewarning of this. They were actually talking about giving us another permit. They didn’t say I wasn’t ineligible. They didn’t say I assaulted a police officer. They didn’t say there was a warrant out for me. Nothing like that.”

The Trump administration has enacted a sprawling crackdown on violent crime in Washington, D.C., over the last month. National Guard units and federal law enforcement agents have been deployed around the capital city to help deter crime, tear down homeless encampments, and assist with city beautification projects.

President Trump Could Soon Appear On $1 Coin.

PULSE POINTS

WHAT HAPPENED: The U.S. Treasury has confirmed draft designs for a $1 commemorative coin featuring President Donald J. Trump.

👤WHO WAS INVOLVED: The U.S. Treasury and President Donald J.Trump.

📍WHEN & WHERE: Proposed for the nation’s 250th anniversary; details shared publicly via social media on Friday, October 3, 2025.

💬KEY QUOTE: “No fake news here. These first drafts honoring America’s 250th Birthday and [President Trump] are real.” – U.S. Treasurer Brandon Beach

🎯IMPACT: The coin could commemorate the nation’s 250th anniversary and honor Trump’s presidency.

IN FULL

President Donald J. Trump could soon be featured on a $1 commemorative coin celebrating the United States of America’s 250th birthday. The U.S. Treasurer, Brandon Beach, revealed the proposed design on Friday in a post on X (formerly Twitter).

“No fake news here. These first drafts honoring America’s 250th Birthday and [President Trump] are real,” Beach wrote, adding: “Looking forward to sharing more soon, once the obstructionist shutdown of the United States government is over.”

The front of the coin features President Trump in profile, like other presidents appearing on U.S. currency. On the back of the coin is an engraving of Trump standing in front of an American flag, raising his fist into the air—a reference to him raising his fist after being shot in the ear by a would-be assassin during a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania.

Notably, U.S. law technically prohibits living presidents from appearing on the country’s currency. However, commemorative coins struck by the U.S. Mint are allowed to feature living presidents while also retaining their denominated value. These same rules—along with the concept of seigniorage, wherein the government can profit from the difference between a currency’s production cost and struck value—are behind the trillion-dollar platinum coin concept.

Once the government resumes full operations, further details about the coin’s release and final design are expected to be made public.
