Great Britain’s Last Ethnic Minority Leader Resigns as Left Turns Back to White Men.

The Zambia-born First Minister of Wales, Vaughan Gething, is resigning. With the Labour politician’s elevation in March, every national leader in Great Britain was an ethnic minority. Now, all of them have gone.

Humza Yousaf, First Minister of Scotland, was the first to lose office. The Pakistani-heritage Muslim resigned as leader of the left-separatist Scottish National Party (SNP) in April. He had been facing a no-confidence vote after breaking a coalition agreement with the Greens, who propped up his anti-free speech administration in the Scottish government—roughly equivalent to a U.S. state government.

Unlike Scotland and Wales, England lacks a devolved government, with the British central government administering its domestic affairs. Until July 5, the British government was led by Prime Minister Rishi Sunak, an Indian-heritage Hindu. He has been replaced by Labour’s Sir Keir Starmer after leading the Conservatives into their worst-ever general election defeat.

Neither Yousaf, Sunak, nor Gething became national leaders after winning at the ballot box; all of them were installed by their parties between elections.

Yousaf’s leftist party has replaced him with John Swinney. Like Starmer, he is a white man in his sixties. Gething’s replacement is yet to be determined, but another white man is the favorite to replace him: Jeremy Miles.

Elderly Democrat Congressional Delegate Tricked by Scammers Won’t Run for Re-Election.

PULSE POINTS

WHAT HAPPENED: Washington, D.C. Delegate Eleanor Holmes Norton (D) announced she will not seek re-election in 2026, ending a 35-year tenure in Congress.

👤WHO WAS INVOLVED: Eleanor Holmes Norton, D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser, Donna Brazile, and former staffer Trent Holbrook.

📍WHEN & WHERE: Announced via a Federal Election Commission (FEC) filing on Sunday, January 25, 2026, in Washington, D.C.

💬KEY QUOTE: “I want to congratulate Congresswoman Eleanor Holmes Norton on a remarkable career… Her work embodies the unwavering resolve of a city that refuses to yield in its fight for equal representation,” said D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser.

🎯IMPACT: Norton’s decision opens the door for new candidates, including former staffer Trent Holbrook, to vie for the D.C. delegate seat.

IN FULL

Eleanor Holmes Norton, the oldest member of the U.S. House of Representatives will not seek another term in the 2026 election. Norton, the 88-year-old non-voting delegate from Washington, D.C.,, filed a termination report with the Federal Election Commission (FEC) on Sunday, signaling the end of her 35-year tenure.

The National Pulse reported last October that Norton, who is believed to be suffering from a diminished cognitive state, fell victim to a scam at her D.C. home, losing thousands of dollars. Posing as HVAC workers, a group of people entered her apartment, charged her nearly $4,400 using her credit card, and left without performing any work. The fraud was discovered when Norton’s house manager, Jacqueline Pelt, reviewed security footage and called the police.

Following Norton’s decision not to run for re-election, D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser paid tribute to the long-term Democrat lawmaker in a post on X (formerly Twitter), stating, “I want to congratulate Congresswoman Eleanor Holmes Norton on a remarkable career. For 35 years, Congresswoman Norton has been our Warrior on the Hill—from securing shutdown protection for the city and the creation of DCTAG, to defeating continued attacks on Home Rule and leading historic votes in the House for DC Statehood.” Bowser herself announced in November last year that she would not seek a fourth term as mayor.

Notably, a number of top Democrat officials have pushed for Norton to retire, especially following the October scamming incident. Late last year, former Democratic National Committee (DNC) acting chair and political strategist Donna Brazile called on the 88-year-old D.C. Delegate to Congress to retire. Writing in the Washington Post, Brazile stated, “It’s in her best interest, and the interest of D.C., for her to serve her current term but then end her extraordinary service in Congress and not seek reelection next year.”

Norton, who first assumed office in 1991, has held the delegate seat for over three decades. Several people, including former Norton staffer Trent Holbrook, have announced their candidacies for the position before her retirement. Holbrook remarked, “I think it’s evident that she’s not going to successfully run. Congresswoman Norton is one of the most successful lawmakers in American history.”

The D.C. delegate’s role does not include voting on legislation like regular House representatives but does allow for the introduction of legislation and participation in committees.

RINO Governor Undermines Trump on Immigration Enforcement.

PULSE POINTS

WHAT HAPPENED: Texas Governor Greg Abbott (R) called for a “recalibration” of immigration enforcement after Alex Pretti was shot by Border Patrol during a confrontation with agents in Minnesota.

👤WHO WAS INVOLVED: Governor Abbott, Border Patrol agents, and the Trump administration.

📍WHEN & WHERE: The shooting occurred on Saturday in Minneapolis, with Abbott’s comments made on Monday.

💬KEY QUOTE: “They, being the White House, need to recalibrate on what needs to be done to make sure that respect is going to be re-instilled.” – Governor Greg Abbott

🎯IMPACT: Abbott’s intervention underscores how unreliable leading Republicans can still be on key issues.

IN FULL

Texas Governor Greg Abbott (R) has called on the Trump administration to reconsider its approach to immigration enforcement following the shooting of Alex Pretti during a confrontation with Border Patrol agents over the weekend. Pretti was killed Saturday in Minneapolis during a chaotic encounter with Border Patrol agents. The shooting came just weeks after the fatal shooting of Renee Good, who hit a federal agent with her car while trying to evade detention.

Abbott addressed the issue during an appearance on The Mark Davis Show, where he was asked what advice he would give Trump to help restore public support for ICE. Abbott, who has presided over the explosive growth of Islam in his state, and the institution of a state Pakistan Day, called for a shift in approach.

“In general, we need to have respect for law enforcement officers in the country. ICE, they are law enforcement officers. So they, being the White House, need to recalibrate on what needs to be done to make sure that respect is going to be re-instilled,” Abbott said. “That’s not an easy task, especially under the current circumstances. But I know that they’re working on a game plan to make sure that they’re going to recalibrate, maybe work from a different direction, to ensure that they get back to what they wanted to do to begin with, which is to remove people from the country who are here illegally, who were allowed in by Joe Biden—and especially those who posed the most danger.”

In recent years, Abbott has been criticized for his questionable positions, including condemning right-leaning online platforms as extremist while engaging in diplomatic or economic cooperation involving officials linked to the Chinese Communist Party (CCP).

‘Enough Already’ – Maduro’s Successor Defies Trump’s ‘Orders.’

PULSE POINTS

WHAT HAPPENED: Venezuela’s Acting President, Delcy Rodríguez, openly criticized U.S. involvement in the country’s politics during a speech to oil workers.

👤WHO WAS INVOLVED: Delcy Rodríguez, the Trump administration, Venezuelan opposition leader Maria Corina Machado, and the U.S. Department of State.

📍WHEN & WHERE: Rodríguez made her remarks on Sunday in Puerto La Cruz, Venezuela, broadcast on state-run Venezolana de Televisión.

💬KEY QUOTE: “Enough already of Washington’s orders over politicians in Venezuela.” – Delcy Rodríguez

🎯IMPACT: The remarks highlight renewed tensions between Caracas and Washington following the capture of ousted dictator Nicolas Maduro by U.S. forces, as Venezuela remains under U.S. sanctions and reliant on U.S. decisions regarding oil licenses.

IN FULL

Venezuela’s Acting President Delcy Rodríguez, formerly ousted dictator Nicolás Maduro’s vice president, appears to be publicly breaking with U.S. President Donald J. Trump, delivering a sharp rebuke of American involvement in Venezuelan politics during a speech to oil workers in Puerto La Cruz on Sunday. Her remarks were broadcast on state-run channel Venezolana de Televisión. “Enough already of Washington’s orders over politicians in Venezuela,” she said, calling for the country to resolve its own internal conflicts.

Rodríguez’s comments come as Venezuela faces U.S. sanctions and remains dependent on American decisions regarding oil licenses. The Trump administration had previously allowed Rodríguez to remain in power on an interim basis, citing Washington’s influence on her decision-making. White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt stated earlier this month, “We obviously have maximum leverage over the interim authorities in Venezuela right now.”

The United States recently announced an arrangement to purchase 30 million to 50 million barrels of Venezuelan oil at market price, with at least one sale valued at $500 million already completed. Meanwhile, Venezuela’s legislature has approved an initial vote to loosen state control over its oil reserves, a move seemingly aimed at encouraging U.S. investment in the industry.

Rodríguez also addressed the Venezuelan opposition on Saturday, calling for “agreements” on the nation’s political future and emphasizing peace over partisan differences. However, opposition leader Maria Corina Machado expressed skepticism, labeling Rodríguez “a communist” and a representative of regimes in Russia, China, and Iran.

As U.S. Carrier Strike Group Arrives in Middle East, Trump Says Iran Wants a Deal.

PULSE POINTS

WHAT HAPPENED: The USS Abraham Lincoln aircraft carrier strike group moved into the Central Command region, which includes Iran, amid heightened tensions with the U.S.

👤WHO WAS INVOLVED: U.S. Navy personnel, Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) Commander General Mohammad Pakpour, and President Donald J. Trump.

📍WHEN & WHERE: The carrier group entered the region as of Monday morning Eastern Time, January 26, 2026, in the Middle East.

💬KEY QUOTE: “They want to make a deal. I know so. They called on numerous occasions. They want to talk,” said President Trump.

🎯IMPACT: The arrival of the USS Abraham Lincoln aircraft carrier strike group comes amid possible strikes against the Islamic Republic following a deadly crackdown on anti-regime protestors.

IN FULL

The USS Abraham Lincoln aircraft carrier strike group, consisting of the carrier and three guided-missile destroyers, has entered the Central Command region of the Middle East, which includes Iran. The group carries squadrons of F/A-18E/F Super Hornets, EA-18G Growlers, F-35C fighter jets, and MH-60R/S helicopters.

This development follows renewed warnings from Iran, with General Mohammad Pakpour of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) stating, “The Islamic Revolutionary Guards and dear Iran stand more ready than ever, finger on the trigger, to execute the orders and directives of the Commander-in-Chief.” Iran’s Defense Ministry spokesman, Gen. Reza Talaei-Nik, also warned that any U.S. attack would be met with a “more painful and more decisive” response than in the past.

President Donald J. Trump revealed last Thursday that the U.S. had a “massive fleet” heading toward Iran “just in case” action is needed, though he added, “maybe we won’t have to use it.” He has also repeatedly warned Iranian leaders against the killing of peaceful demonstrators and mass executions of those arrested during protests.

On Monday, the U.S. President described the situation regarding Iran as being “in flux,” but suggested that Iran’s ruling mullahs are looking to cut a deal. “They want to make a deal. I know so. They called on numerous occasions. They want to talk,” Trump said. American officials stress that any deal must include a guarantee that Iran will hand over all of its enriched uranium, limit stockpiles of ballistic missiles, and end its funding of terrorist proxies. These terms are believed to be largely unacceptable to hardliners within the Iranian state.

The carrier group was reportedly not yet “on station” as of Monday morning, meaning it had not reached its ultimate position. However, its presence in the region opens a multitude of U.S. military options in the region and buffers assets should President Trump determine a strike on Iran’s regime is necessary.

There’s Bodycam Footage of Latest MN Shooting, White House Confirms.

PULSE POINTS

WHAT HAPPENED: The White House is reviewing bodycam footage of the fatal shooting of Alex Pretti by a Border Patrol agent.

👤WHO WAS INVOLVED: Alex Pretti, U.S. Customs and Border Patrol (CBP) agents, Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Kristi Noem, President Donald J. Trump, and Governor Tim Walz (D-MN).

📍WHEN & WHERE: The shooting occurred on Saturday in Minnesota, with federal officials and the White House addressing the matter on Monday.

💬KEY QUOTE: “The President has said we have to review it, and this investigation has to continue.” – White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt

🎯IMPACT: The investigation into the shooting has sparked protests in Minnesota and prompted federal intervention, with the White House deploying Border Czar Tom Homan to oversee the situation.

IN FULL

U.S. Customs and Border Patrol (CBP) agents involved in the fatal shooting of Alex Pretti in Minneapolis over the weekend were wearing body cameras. The White House is reviewing the footage, while the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) are interviewing witnesses and the agents involved, according to White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt.

“The President has said we have to review it and this investigation has to continue,” Leavitt said during the White House briefing on Monday. However, she did not commit—without first speaking to President Donald J. Trump—on whether the body camera footage would be released to the public.

Meanwhile, Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Kristi Noem stated that all video evidence would be analyzed as part of the investigation. President Donald Trump also commented, saying his administration is “reviewing everything” related to the shooting. Both Trump and Leavitt have stressed the need for cooperation between federal and local law enforcement.

“Mr. Homan is the point person for cooperation between local and federal law enforcement,” Leavitt said at the White House, referring to Border Czar Tom Homan. She suggested that if Governor Tim Walz (D-MN) and Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey (D) commit to ensuring criminal illegal immigrants detained by state and local law enforcement are handed over to federal agents, the current CBP presence in the state will change.

The National Pulse reported earlier on Monday that President Trump had announced in a post on Truth Social that he has spoken with Gov. Walz and that the Democrat will “work together” with the administration as ICE seeks to secure criminal illegal aliens in the state.

President Trump suggested that White House Border Czar Homan is heading to Minnesota to work with Walz on securing the criminal aliens currently held in state and local jails and transferring them to federal custody.

Mamdani-Allied, CCP-Linked Activist Group is Training Anti-ICE Rioters.

PULSE POINTS

WHAT HAPPENED: The New York City-based activist group DRUM—founded by Kazi Fouzia, a radical Bangladeshi Islamist-Maoist and top ally to NYC Mayor Zohran Mamdani (D)—is holding seminars to train activists in how to physically interfere with federal agents making immigration enforcement arrests.

👤WHO WAS INVOLVED: DRUM and its affiliate DRUM Beats, DRUM founder Kazi Fouzia, New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani, ICE Watch, the Manhattan Institute, and U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).

📍WHEN & WHERE: ICE Watch training took place in Jackson Heights, Queens, on January 18, 2026.

💬KEY QUOTE: Portions of the seminar covered actions such as “striking,” “escaping holds,” and “community defense.”

🎯IMPACT: Several key organizers of DRUM’s pro-Mamdani get-out-the-vote operation have close ties to the Haqooq-e-Khalq Party—a radical socialist political party in Pakistan widely considered a puppet of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP).

IN FULL

The New York City-based activist group DRUM—founded by Kazi Fouzia, a radical Bangladeshi Islamist-Maoist and top ally to NYC Mayor Zohran Mamdani—is holding seminars to train activists in how to physically interfere with federal agents making immigration enforcement arrests. In what the group calls a “de-arrest,” attendees of its seminar—with one recently held on January 18 in Jackson Heights, Queens—are trained in how to physically assault and remove a detainee from the custody of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents.

Footage obtained by the Manhattan Institute shows a mask-wearing Asian woman instructing activists on what is best described as quasi-martial arts techniques that can be used to free an individual being restrained by law enforcement. Other portions of the seminar covered actions such as “striking,” “escaping holds,” and “community defense.” Notably, an advertisement for the January 18 event prominently states that attendees would be given free pepper spray and ICE Watch kits.

The National Pulse previously reported that DRUM and its affiliate, DRUM Beats, were critical components of Mamdani’s 2025 campaign’s ground game. Concerningly, several key organizers of DRUM’s pro-Mamdani get-out-the-vote operation have close ties to the Haqooq-e-Khalq Party—a radical socialist political party in Pakistan widely considered a puppet of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). Additionally, Fouzia and DRUM are also linked to Shanghai-based billionaire Neville Roy Singham, identified by a number of American media outlets as a key figure in CCP influence operations.

Renee Nicole Good, a Minneapolis woman who was fatally shot while attempting to run over an ICE agent earlier this month, took part in ICE Watch training provided through her son’s school. According to people close to Renee Good and her lesbian partner, Rebecca Good, in their Minneapolis community, she was involved with a group of activists aiming to “document and resist” immigration enforcement in Minnesota.

Tim Walz Has the National Guard Handing Out Coffee and Donuts to Anti-ICE Activists.

PULSE POINTS

WHAT HAPPENED: The Minnesota National Guard handed out coffee and donuts to anti-ICE protesters in St. Paul.

👤WHO WAS INVOLVED: The Minnesota National Guard, anti-ICE protesters, and federal officials.

📍WHEN & WHERE: Sunday, January 26, 2026, in St. Paul, Minnesota.

💬KEY QUOTE: The National Guard said the handouts were a “demonstration of safety and security.”

🎯IMPACT: The interaction occurred amid rising tensions between activists, state officials, and federal agencies in Minnesota over immigration enforcement.

IN FULL

Members of the Minnesota National Guard were observed on Sunday in St. Paul distributing coffee and donuts to agitators protesting U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) operations. Guardsmen wearing yellow reflective vests handed out the refreshments from the rear of a vehicle positioned near the protest.

A member of the Guard described the action as a “demonstration of safety and security.” The appearance of the troops followed earlier statements from the Minnesota National Guard indicating that personnel deployed in the Twin Cities would wear reflective vests to clearly distinguish themselves from federal law enforcement.

The Guard’s presence came one day after a Border Patrol agent fatally shot Alex J. Pretti, a 37-year-old Minneapolis resident, during a Department of Homeland Security (DHS) operation.

Minnesota has become a focal point in the national debate over immigration enforcement. Recent operations in the state have led to the arrest of migrants with serious criminal records, including convictions for homicide, child sexual abuse, and drug trafficking.

Reports have surfaced alleging that elected Democratic officials and activist groups coordinated efforts to monitor and disrupt federal immigration actions, including through encrypted messaging platforms. Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) Director Kash Patel has confirmed that investigations into whether this activity broke the law are underway.

Treasury Dept Cuts Contractor Responsible for Trump Tax Leaks.

PULSE POINTS

WHAT HAPPENED: The U.S. Department of the Treasury has canceled all contracts with Booz Allen Hamilton following leaks of tax information, including tax returns belonging to President Donald J. Trump, by a former contractor.

👤WHO WAS INVOLVED: Former Internal Revenue Service (IRS) contractor Charles Edward Littlejohn, the Department of the Treasury, Secretary Scott Bessent, Booz Allen Hamilton, and President Trump.

📍WHEN & WHERE: The leaks occurred between 2018 and 2020, with Littlejohn sentenced in January 2024. The Treasury’s announcement was made on January 26, 2026.

💬KEY QUOTE: “Canceling these contracts is an essential step to increasing Americans’ trust in government.” – Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent

🎯IMPACT: The Treasury Department is terminating 31 contracts with Booz Allen Hamilton, valued at $4.8 million annually and $21 million in total obligations.

IN FULL

The U.S. Department of the Treasury is canceling all contracts with Booz Allen Hamilton after a former contractor leaked tax information belonging to thousands of people, including President Donald J. Trump. The contractor, Charles Edward Littlejohn, had worked for Booz Allen Hamilton and was sentenced to five years in prison in 2024 after pleading guilty to the leaks.

Littlejohn provided tax data to The New York Times and the leftist website ProPublica between 2018 and 2020, a breach that prosecutors described as “unparalleled in the IRS’s history.” According to the Treasury Department, the leak impacted approximately 406,000 people, based on Internal Revenue Service data.

Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent stated on Monday, “President Trump has entrusted his cabinet to root out waste, fraud and abuse, and canceling these contracts is an essential step to increasing Americans’ trust in government. Booz Allen failed to implement adequate safeguards to protect sensitive data, including the confidential taxpayer information it had access to through its contracts with the Internal Revenue Service.”

The National Pulse reported in January 2024 that Littlejohn deliberately sought employment as a contractor to access President Trump’s tax returns and devised methods to extract data without raising internal suspicions. At his sentencing, Littlejohn admitted, “I made my decision with full knowledge that I would likely end up in a courtroom to answer for my serious crime. I used my skills to systematically violate the privacy of thousands of people.”

The Treasury Department has 31 contracts with Booz Allen Hamilton, worth $4.8 million in annual spending and $21 million in total obligations.

‘They Should Be Worried’ – Kash Confirms FBI is Investigating Anti-ICE Signal Groups.

PULSE POINTS

WHAT HAPPENED: Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) Director Kash Patel has confirmed the bureau is investigating leaked Signal chats used by anti-ICE activists to coordinate their disruption of federal immigration enforcement in Minnesota.

👤WHO WAS INVOLVED: Kash Patel, the FBI, and anti-ICE activists.

📍WHEN & WHERE: Patel confirmed the investigations during an interview on Monday, January 26, 2026.

💬KEY QUOTE: “If they break the law, you should be worried; it’s that simple.” – Kash Patel.

🎯IMPACT: The investigations could have significant consequences for those participating in the group chats if criminal activity is discovered.

IN FULL

Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) Director Kash Patel has confirmed that the bureau is actively investigating group chats on the encrypted messaging app Signal that are reportedly being used to identify, track, and disrupt federal law enforcement, including members of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and Customs and Border Protection (CBP).

Patel confirmed during an interview on January 26 that an investigation is underway. When told that people within the chats were reportedly scared of consequences after being identified, he stated, “They should be. If they break the law, you should be worried; it’s that simple,” adding: “We will protect law enforcement, we will make sure they have the security and safety to do their jobs.”

Patel also stressed that the FBI will actively protect civilians and their First and Second Amendment rights.

Some of the contents of the Signal chats were released by journalist Cam Higby over the weekend, including links to manuals on tactics to disrupt federal agents, what appears to be a database of vehicle plates supposedly linked to ICE agents, and a link to donate money. At least one local Democrat official, State Representative Alex Falconer, has admitted to being part of certain Signal chats, describing them as a “resistance network.”

The leaks come alongside violent attacks on federal agents in Minnesota, including an incident on January 25 in which far-left activists laid siege to a hotel housing federal agents. At least one agent was bloodied before multiple arrests of agitators occurred.

Private Jet Belonging to Immigration Attorneys and Dem Mega Donors Crashes.

PULSE POINTS

WHAT HAPPENED: A private jet registered to KTKJ Challenger LLC—owned by Texas personal injury attorneys and anti-Trump donors Jason Itkin and Kurt Arnold—crashed on take-off at Bangor International Airport last night amid heavy snow.

👤WHO WAS INVOLVED: Jason Itkin, Kurt Arnold, eight people onboard the flight, the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), and Bangor International Airport officials.

📍WHEN & WHERE: The crash occurred on Sunday, January 25, 2026, with new details emerging on Monday.

💬KEY QUOTE: The biography for Kurt Arnold emphasizes that he secured the “largest settlement for an undocumented worker in United States history.”

🎯IMPACT: While the reason for the Arnold and Itkin-connected jet being in Maine remains unknown, it is notable that immigration is a major field of practice for the law firm, and Maine has seen significant U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) activity in the last two weeks.

IN FULL

A privately owned Bombardier CL-600 Challenger jet crashed during take-off at the Bangor International Airport in Maine at 7:45 PM on Sunday amid heavy snow. The private plane—believed to be carrying eight people—was registered to KTKJ Challenger LLC, a company owned by Texas trial attorneys Jason Itkin and Kurt Arnold, two political donors who have aggressively supported Democrat and anti-Trump Republican candidates in the Lone Star State.

While initial reports were unclear on the condition of the eight passengers, by Monday morning, it was presumed that all on board were deceased. However, it appears one crew member survived the crash and is in serious condition. The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and local authorities continue to investigate the crash site and the cause of the plane’s crash moments after takeoff. It remains unknown whether Itkin or Arnold was on board, or why the plane was in Maine when the law firm’s primary base of practice is in Texas.

Best known for their personal injury and liability practice, Arnold and Itkin are also major donors to Democrat and anti-Trump candidates in Texas. On the Arnold & Itkin website, the biography for Kurt Arnold emphasizes that he secured the “largest settlement for an undocumented worker in United States history.” Additionally, the attorneys helped found the Texans for Truth and Liberty PAC, which received a $10 million contribution from their law firm—the PAC has been active in supporting anti-Trump candidates in the state’s Republican primaries. During the 2024 election, Arnold & Itkin backed an effort aimed to “Stop MAGA Republicans,” along with Democrat mega-donor George Soros.

The influence of trial lawyers in Texas politics has long been a major concern in the state. Trial attorneys have been known to spend heavily in state elections to influence the legislature and ensure the enactment of the most pro-litigation policies.

While the reason for the Arnold and Itkin-connected jet being in Maine remains unknown, it is notable that immigration is a major field of practice for the law firm, and Maine has seen significant U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) activity in the last two weeks. The National Pulse reported last week that Representative Jared Golden (D-ME) urged locals not to interfere with ICE operations occurring in the state, arguing, “A targeted law enforcement operation focused on individuals who have engaged in criminal activity serves the public interest.”
