An illegal immigrant driving without a valid license has been arrested for the murder of a 23-year-old musician in Pittsburg after his vehicle collided with the victim’s car at a stoplight. Allegheny County authorities announced they have apprehended and charged 25-year-old Saul Rivera-Ramirez in connection with the death of Christian Sluka. The incident occurred on Saturday in the Dormont suburb of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
According to the police report, on the evening of September 21, 2024, Sluka was stationary at a red light when his vehicle was allegedly struck by Rivera-Ramirez, who was purportedly driving a Ford Taurus without authorization. Sluka succumbed to his injuries at the scene of the accident.
Rivera-Ramirez faces multiple charges, including vehicular homicide and driving without a license. Police confirmed that Rivera-Ramirez is not a U.S. citizen and lacks legal documentation to reside in the country but did not disclose his country of origin. Instead, police deferred further inquiries regarding his immigration status to the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement Agency (ICE).
The killing is just the latest by an illegal or asylum seeker driving without a valid license. It comes just months after a Haitian migrant in Springfield, Ohio, killed a young boy after ramming into a local school bus. Nathan Clark, the father of the victim, later stated that he wished the killer had been a white man so that conservatives would not talk about the case.
“I bet you never thought anyone would ever say something so blunt. But if that guy killed my 11-year-old son, the incessant group of hate-spewing people would leave us alone,” he said.
