President-elect Donald J. Trump has announced several new appointments to fill out his White House’s senior staff. Dan Scavino, Stephen Miller, James Blair, and Taylor Budowich will each serve as Deputy Chief of Staff, working under Trump’s White House Chief of Staff, Susie Wiles.
“Dan, Stephen, James, and Taylor were ‘best in class’ advisors on my winning campaign, and I know they will honorably serve the American people in the White House,” Trump said in a statement. He added: “They will continue to work hard to Make America Great Again in their respective new roles.”
Scavino and Miller both served in senior roles during Trump’s prior administration. The former served as Director of Social Media from 2017 to 2021 and White House Deputy Chief of Staff for Communications from 2020 to 2021. Miller served as the first Trump White House’s senior advisor for policy and director of speechwriting.
James Blair, who served as political director on President-elect Trump’s 2024 campaign, is a veteran of the America First leader’s 2020 presidential re-election campaign. Previously, Blair worked as a political consultant in Flordia and served as Deputy Chief of Staff to Governor Ron DeSantis and a senior advisor to DeSantis’s 2018 gubernatorial campaign.
Lastly, Taylor Budowich—prior to joining the 2024 presidential campaign—served in a senior role in President-elect Trump’s Leadership PAC, Save America. Additionally, Budwoch was the CEO of the pro-Trump Super PAC, MAGA Inc.
