Trump Praises Ashli Babbitt, Says He Is Considering Compensation for J6 Defendants.

President Donald J. Trump is actively considering providing financial relief to January 6 protesters. During a Tuesday night interview, Trump revealed, “A lot of the people that are in the government now talk about it because a lot of the people in government really like that group of people.”

The America First leader said he was “a big fan” of Ashli Babbitt—the unarmed U.S. Air Force who was slain by Capitol Police officer and known liar Michael Byrd. “Ashli Babbitt was a really good person who was a big MAGA fan, Trump fan. And she was innocently standing there, they even say trying to sort of hold back the crowd, and a man did something to her that was unthinkable when he shot her,” Trump said.

The National Pulse previously reported on video analysis showing Babbitt conversing with police and attempting to diffuse tensions between them and some of the rowdier demonstrators.

On whether Byrd, who still serves with the Capitol Police, could face sanctions, the President said he would “take a look at it.”

Raheem Kassam, Editor-in-Chief of The National Pulse, argued in December that justice for the January 6 defendants should not end with pardons and that they should be compensated and the January 6 Committee punished.

140 Arrests on Day One of London’s Annual Afro-Caribbean Carnival.

PULSE POINTS

WHAT HAPPENED: London’s Metropolitan Police made at least 140 arrests on the first day of the annual Notting Hill Carnival, for crimes including assaults on officers, sexual offences, drug dealing, robbery, and possession of weapons.

👤WHO WAS INVOLVED: Metropolitan Police officers, Carnival attendees, and people on criminal watch lists.

📍WHEN & WHERE: The arrests occurred on Sunday during the Notting Hill Carnival’s “family day” in London, England.

💬KEY QUOTE: The family of Cher Maximen, murdered at last year’s Carnival violence in front of her young daughter, described it as an “unimaginable event” and suggested it should be moved to a park.

🎯IMPACT: Arrests were up by 40 percent compared to last year’s first day, despite pre-emptive measures and the use of facial recognition technology.

IN FULL

London’s Metropolitan Police reported 140 arrests on the first day of the Notting Hill Carnival, held on Sunday. The arrests involved offenses such as assaults on police officers, sexual crimes, drug dealing, robbery, and weapon possession. Arrests are up 40 percent compared to the 104 arrests recorded on the first day of the previous year’s Carnival, despite preemptive arrests, the use of facial recognition technology, and other measures designed to tamp down lawlessness.

The Notting Hill Carnival, a multi-day street festival celebrating Afro-Caribbean culture since 1966, draws approximately one million visitors each year. However, it has faced growing scrutiny due to its endemic violence. Calls to relocate or cancel the event have intensified following incidents like the murders of chef Mussie Imnetu and mother Cher Maximen at last year’s Carnival.

Police data from Sunday detailed 15 arrests for assaults on officers, including one officer hospitalized, 21 for possessing offensive weapons, 25 for cannabis possession, 19 for intent to supply drugs, and four for sexual offenses. While police leaders often defend the Carnival festival, the Met’s rank and file members are known to despise it, with the police union-like Metropolitan Police Federation long calling for its cancellation.

In a proactive move, the Metropolitan Police arrested over 100 high-risk individuals before the Carnival started this year. Additionally, 21 people were recalled to prison, and 266 others were barred from attending through bail or probation orders.

The family of Cher Maximen, fatally stabbed in front of her daughter at last year’s Carnival, proposed moving the event to a park to curb violence.

Englishman Arrested for Patriotic Painting Spree, Shouting at a Muslim.

PULSE POINTS

WHAT HAPPENED: Police in Essex, England, arrested a man on suspicion of a racially aggravated public order offence and conspiracy to commit criminal damage after a video showed people painting St. George’s crosses on a building and shouting at a Muslim woman.

👤WHO WAS INVOLVED: A 33-year-old man from Basildon, Essex Police, and a Muslim woman.

📍WHEN & WHERE: The incident occurred in Basildon, Essex, and came to public attention after a video circulated online.

💬KEY QUOTE: “I’m an Englishman, I’ll do it till I die, sweetheart!” – Unidentified man

🎯IMPACT: The arrest highlights Britain’s strict speech restrictions.

IN FULL

Police in Essex, England, have confirmed the arrest of a 33-year-old man from Basildon on suspicion of a racially aggravated public order offence and conspiracy to commit criminal damage. The arrest followed the circulation of a video online showing two shirtless white men painting large St. George’s crosses on a building, and a cameraman saying “Look at the raghead there, boy” as a Muslim woman passes by.

The footage shows the men painting the walls above a row of stores and restaurants with England’s national symbol while a third person films and a young girl looks on. “You guys are crazy. How long have you been doing this for?” the young girl asks. The man painting the crosses shouts down, “I’m an Englishman. I’ll do it till I die, sweetheart!”

He later adds, “It’s for the country, for your future, sweetheart.” The cameraman then notices a Muslim woman walking by, calling out, “Look at the raghead there, boy!”

The incident comes as “Operation Raise the Colours”—a grassroots campaign to hang English and British flags on lampposts and paint the St. George’s cross on white roundabouts and zebra crossings—is spreading across the country. The initiative has been driven by public anger over masses of boat migrants being moved into hotels in the middle of local communities, irritation with the proliferation of Palestinian flags in English streets, and a desire to assert English identity in areas such as the London borough of Tower Hamlets, where ethnic minorities now outnumber English natives.

According to police, the “raghead” comment is being treated as a racially aggravated offence, which carries harsh penalties under British law.

Basildon Council’s leader, Gavin Callaghan—of Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer’s far-left Labour Party—commented, “This week we’ve seen a large number of England and British flags put up across our borough. I think it’s fantastic to see our flag flying proudly. It shows the pride that so many people feel in our country and our community.” However, he added that “Painting on people’s shops or council buildings isn’t patriotism, it’s criminal damage.”

Callaghan’s conciliatory language on the flags stands in stark contrast with that of municipal leaders in areas where English natives are fewer in numbers, with Tower Hamlets having the St. George’s cross torn down at speed wherever it appears.

Chief Inspector Paul Hogben also addressed the incident, saying, “Regardless of anyone’s thoughts or views, causing damage by applying paint to people’s properties is clearly a criminal offence. Aside from that simple fact, some of the language directed towards a member of the public in this incident was disgraceful.”

Is Florida’s New Lt. Gov. Jay Collins ‘Woke’?

PULSE POINTS

WHAT HAPPENED: Florida’s new Republican Lieutenant Governor, Jay Collins, is facing backlash over allegations that a nonprofit group he has worked with since 2018 mandated diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) policies and requirements for employees and contractors.

👤WHO WAS INVOLVED: Lt. Gov. Jay Collins (R-FL), Governor Ron DeSantis (R-FL), and Operation BBQ Relief.

📍WHEN & WHERE: The revelations emerged on Monday, August 25, 2025.

💬KEY QUOTE: “Implying he is woke is a joke. That dog won’t hunt.” — Gov. DeSantis

🎯IMPACT: The allegations that Collins worked for a pro-DEI nonprofit come as he is believed to be considering a run for Florida governor.

IN FULL

Florida’s new Republican Lieutenant Governor, Jay Collins, is facing backlash over allegations that a nonprofit group he has worked with since 2018 mandated diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) policies and requirements for employees and contractors. According to reports, Operation BBQ Relief—where Collins previously served as chief operating officer and chief program officer before being tapped by Governor Ron DeSantis (R-FL) to serve as Lt. Gov.—imposed an “expansive and documented DEI policy” on its staff.

Documents uncovered by Florida’s Voice reveal that the nonprofit required “[c]ontinuing mandatory annual training and education for OBR employees and key role volunteers with regard to inclusion and diversity” as late as 2020. Notably, Collins—who has been billed as an anti-DEI stalwart—began his involvement with Operation BBQ Relief in 2018. The documents go on to state: “The purpose of this policy is to memorialize in writing that Operation BBQ Relief (“OBR”) is committed to fostering, cultivating, and preserving a culture of diversity and inclusion across all of its activities, programs, and businesses,” while adding the nonprofit is “committed to fostering, cultivating, and preserving a culture of diversity and inclusion across all of its activities, programs, and businesses.”

“The ideologies of diversity, equal opportunity, and inclusion should be our guiding principles,” the Operation BBQ Relief documents declare, continuing: “They represent the concepts by which we best further and achieve our charitable mission.” Concerningly, the group adds that its mission is “built on the premise of gender and diversity equity.”

Despite the revelations regarding Operation BBQ Relief, Gov. DeSantis is standing by Collins, telling Florida media, “For years Florida has led the revolution against the woke mind virus and Jay Collins has been fighting alongside us every step of the way.”

“From eliminating DEI and nuking ESG [Environmental, Social, and Governance] to stopping CRT [Critical Race Theory] and banning CBDC [Central Bank Digital Currencies], Jay has stood strong for conservative values—and has never wavered,” Desantis continued, adding: “Implying he is woke is a joke. That dog won’t hunt.”

London’s Streets Are Covered in Red Spit Stains, Here’s Why:

PULSE POINTS

WHAT HAPPENED: Viral videos from Harrow, London, showcased widespread paan and gutkha stains across public areas, sparking outrage among locals.

👤WHO WAS INVOLVED: Local residents, Harrow Council, and suspected individuals from South Asian communities, including Indian, Pakistani, and Bangladeshi immigrants.

📍WHEN & WHERE: The incidents occurred in Rayner’s Lane and North Harrow, London, with fines issued as recently as July 2025.

💬KEY QUOTE: “Our Public Spaces Protection Order (PSPO) prohibits spitting in public and fines of £100 are issued to anyone caught.” – Harrow Council spokesman

🎯IMPACT: The issue has drawn attention to the cultural habits of some immigrants and the challenges of maintaining public cleanliness in diverse communities.

IN FULL

A string of viral videos emerging from Harrow, a district in northwest London, England, show unsightly red stains on public trash cans, sidewalks, and walls. They are believed to be caused by people spitting paan and gutkha, two chewing tobacco-like products widely consumed in South Asia, now becoming more prevalent in Britain as it becomes increasingly diverse.

Paan is a preparation made by wrapping areca nut, slaked lime, and various spices or sweeteners in a betel leaf, often chewed with tobacco. Gutkha is a commercial form of chewing tobacco mixed with similar ingredients, banned in several Indian states due to its harmful health effects.

Both substances are popular across India, Pakistan, and Bangladesh, but are associated with significant public health and sanitation concerns, particularly due to the red stains caused when users spit out the residue, which are expensive to clean.

Harrow’s municipal government is stressing both the health implications and the financial burden of cleaning up the mess. A council spokesman stated, “Our Public Spaces Protection Order (PSPO) prohibits spitting in public and fines of £100 ($135) are issued to anyone caught.” The council also reported that 33 such fines were issued in July 2025 alone.

The appearance of paan stores across various parts of the United Kingdom has raised alarms that such spitting incidents may become more frequent unless stricter regulation is enforced. Other English cities home to large South Asian populations, such as Leicester, have already put up signs in foreign languages like Gujarati, threatening hefty fines for spitting paan on the street.

The social media posts come at the same time as Bangladesh’s High Commissioner (Ambassador) to the United Kingdom, Abida Islam, is boasting that much of Britain’s capital city feels like being back in Bangladesh.

First Human New World Screwworm Infection in U.S. Confirmed.

PULSE POINTS

WHAT HAPPENED: The first human case of a New World screwworm parasitic infection in the United States was confirmed by the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS).

👤WHO WAS INVOLVED: The Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), the Maryland Department of Health, the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), the American cattle industry, and an infected person in Maryland.

📍WHEN & WHERE: The infection was confirmed in Maryland on Sunday, August 24, 2025.

💬KEY QUOTE: “The risk to public health in the United States from this introduction is very low.” — HHS spokesman Andrew G. Nixon

🎯IMPACT: The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) projects that an outbreak of the New World screwworm in Texas could cost the cattle industry $1.8 billion.

IN FULL

The first human case of a New World screwworm parasitic infection in the United States was confirmed by the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) on Sunday. According to the department, the infection is travel-related, with the patient having recently visited an area of El Salvador currently experiencing an outbreak of the flesh-eating parasites.

Notably, the incident is being investigated by the Maryland Department of Health and the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). The patient’s immigration status is not yet known.

Despite the case of human infection, HHS is emphasizing that the direct threat posed to humans by the New World screwworm is minimal. “The risk to public health in the United States from this introduction is very low,” says HHS spokesman Andrew G. Nixon.

However, the parasite does pose a serious threat to the U.S. cattle industry, with bovines serving as a prime vector for the flesh-eating maggots. The National Pulse reported last week that the Trump administration is set to construct a $750 million factory in southern Texas to breed thousands of sterile flies in an effort to combat the New World screwworm.

While sterile fly swarms produced in Panama had kept the parasitic insect isolated to South America, it is believed that the mass surge of illegal immigrants northward during the former Biden government allowed the New World screwworm to breach the Panamanian countermeasures. This has resulted in infections being reported among livestock in Mexico, with significant concern that the parasites could devastate the U.S. beef industry as well.

The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) projects that an outbreak of the New World screwworm in Texas could cost the cattle industry $1.8 billion. A broader outbreak across the southern U.S. would be economically devastating.

BREAKING: Trump Targets Cashless Bail in DC With Executive Order.

PULSE POINTS

WHAT HAPPENED: President Donald J. Trump signed an executive order ending cashless bail in Washington, D.C., with a second order targeting a nationwide ban.

👤WHO WAS INVOLVED: President Trump, New York City Mayor Eric Adams, and Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson (D).

📍WHEN & WHERE: The executive order was signed on Monday, impacting Washington, D.C., and potentially nationwide jurisdictions.

💬KEY QUOTE: “Every place in the country where you have no-cash bail is a disaster.” – President Trump

🎯IMPACT: The initiative seeks to curb reoffending and address rising crime rates linked to cashless bail policies.

IN FULL

President Donald J. Trump signed an Executive Order on Monday eliminating cashless bail for criminal suspects in Washington, D.C. Additionally, the America First leader enacted a second Executive Order that aims to institute a nationwide ban on cashless bail by threatening to withhold federal funding from jurisdictions that continue the practice.

President Trump has repeatedly criticized no-cash bail policies, calling them a “disaster” and attributing their implementation to “bad politicians” and “bad leadership.” He specifically pointed to cities like New York and Chicago as examples of the policy’s failure. Speaking earlier this month, Trump stated, “Somebody murders somebody and they’re out on no-cash bail before the day is out.”

Critics of cashless bail, such as New York City Mayor Eric Adams, argue that the policy has increased reoffending rates. Adams has blamed reforms initiated under former Governor Andrew Cuomo (D-NY) for creating a cycle of offenders being repeatedly arrested and released. Data from the Data Collaborative for Justice supports concerns about increased recidivism among individuals charged with nonviolent felonies and those with a history of violent offenses.

Meanwhile, Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson (D), responding to Trump’s recent suggestion of deploying the National Guard to Chicago to restore order, dismissed the proposal as “uncoordinated, uncalled-for, and unsound.” Trump has labeled Johnson “grossly incompetent.”

Earlier this month, President Trump moved to federalize the Washington, D.C., Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) and deploy National Guard troops and federal agents in the capital as part of a major crackdown on crime in the city. Despite Democrat claims that D.C.’s crime rates were falling, the MPD is facing a federal investigation and a workplace retaliation lawsuit alleging that city law enforcement officials manipulated crime data to make the city appear safer than it is.

Trump Is Reducing His Planned Pharma Tariff on Europe, Here’s Why:

PULSE POINTS

WHAT HAPPENED: The European Union (EU) avoided a potential 250 percent pharmaceutical tariff from the U.S., instead securing a maximum 15 percent levy as part of a broader trade agreement.

👤WHO WAS INVOLVED: The Trump administration, the EU, President Donald J. Trump, and Secretary of Commerce Howard Lutnick.

📍WHEN & WHERE: The agreement was announced on August 21 as part of ongoing trade negotiations between the two economic powers.

💬KEY QUOTE: “The America First Trade Agenda has secured the most important trading partner creating a major win for American workers, U.S. industries, and our national security. Tariffs should be one of America’s favorite words.” – Howard Lutnick.

🎯IMPACT: The agreement aims to address trade imbalances, promote U.S. industry, and secure lower pharmaceutical prices for Americans.

IN FULL

The European Union (EU) has avoided a looming 250 percent tariff on pharmaceutical exports to the United States, instead reaching a deal to cap such tariffs at 15 percent, according to a joint statement released on August 21.

The announcement revealed a high-level trade framework that formalizes a broader understanding reached in July. The agreement outlines the removal of all EU tariffs on American industrial goods and a mutual reduction in agricultural levies. Additionally, the EU is accepting a capped 15 percent tariff on European automobile exports to the U.S. and limits of up to 15 percent on EU semiconductor, lumber, and pharmaceutical imports.

This is a significant reduction from previously proposed tariff hikes. Seeking to reshore pharmaceutical production the U.S., President Donald J. Trump had previously said, “We’ll be putting initially a small tariff on pharmaceuticals, but in one year—one and a half years maximum—it’s going to go to 150 percent and then it’s going to go to 250 percent, because we want pharmaceuticals made in our country.”

This statement echoed Trump’s earlier threats against the EU. In March, he issued a stern warning, criticizing the bloc’s trade practices as “hostile and abusive” and threatening tariffs of up to 200 percent on key EU goods if the EU failed to adjust its trade policies.

U.S. Secretary of Commerce Howard Lutnick praised the new agreement on X. “The America First Trade Agenda has secured the most important trading partner creating a major win for American workers, U.S. industries, and our national security. Tariffs should be one of America’s favorite words,” Lutnick wrote.

The joint statement between Washington and Brussels noted that the deal “reflects acknowledgement by the European Union of the concerns of the United States and our joint determination to resolve our trade imbalances and unleash the full potential of our combined economic power.” The statement is described as “a first step in a process that can be further expanded over time to cover additional areas and continue to improve market access and increase their trade and investment relationship.”

Trump Is Sending Kilmar Abrego Garcia to Uganda.

PULSE POINTS

WHAT HAPPENED: U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) detained alleged MS-13 gang member Kilmar Abrego Garcia after his release from jail in Tennessee.

👤WHO WAS INVOLVED: Kilmar Abrego Garcia, ICE law enforcement, Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Kristi Noem, and U.S. District Judge Waverly Crenshaw.

📍WHEN & WHERE: Garcia was released on Friday in Tennessee and detained by ICE in Baltimore on Monday.

💬KEY QUOTE: “President Trump is not going to allow this illegal alien, who is an MS-13 gang member, human trafficker, serial domestic abuser, and child predator to terrorize American citizens any longer.” – DHS Secretary Kristi Noem

🎯IMPACT: Garcia faces deportation to a third-party country.

IN FULL

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has detained alleged MS-13 gang member Kilmar Abrego Garcia after his release from jail in Tennessee. Garcia had been ordered to report to ICE in Baltimore, Maryland, on Monday.

Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Kristi Noem stated, “Today, ICE law enforcement arrested Kilmar Abrego Garcia and are processing him for deportation. President Trump is not going to allow this illegal alien, who is an MS-13 gang member, human trafficker, serial domestic abuser, and child predator to terrorize American citizens any longer.”

DHS has indicated that they intent to deport the Salvadoran to Uganda, which recently agreed to take migrants that the U.S. cannot immediately remove to their home countries.

The alleged MS-13 gang member was released from custody in Tennessee on Friday. The release followed the expiration of a judge’s 30-day pause on his case, which involves allegations of human trafficking and abuse.

U.S. District Court Judge Waverly Crenshaw upheld Garcia’s release last month, ruling there was insufficient evidence to confirm his membership in the MS-13 gang. However, two other judges had previously accepted evidence that Garcia was indeed a member of the violent criminal organization.

Earlier this year, Garcia was deported to El Salvador as part of a group of gang members, but was later extradited back to the U.S. to face criminal charges.

A 21-year-old U.S. citizen was seriously injured in a knife attack on a Dresden tram after he intervened when two men reportedly harassed female passengers, according to German police. The attack occurred on tram line 7 near the Goldener Reiter stop just after midnight, at approximately 12:25 AM local time.

German authorities detained a 21-year-old Syrian national less than half a mile from the scene and are actively searching for a second suspect and the missing weapon. Photos from inside the tram reveal bloodstains on the floor, as well as apparent attempts by passengers to stem the victim’s bleeding using tissues.

The injured American was transported to a hospital via ambulance. The Dresden police have called for witnesses to provide any information regarding the incident.

Migrant crime continues to rise across Europe, especially since former German Chancellor Angela Merkel opened the borders in 2015, during a period of intense illegal immigration into the continent.
