The campaign has spilled into the political realm as well. Palmetto Bay, Florida Council Member Steve Cody is under pressure to resign following a post that read, “Charlie Kirk is a fitting sacrifice to our Lords: Smith & Wesson. Hallowed be their names.” Florida Republican lawmakers Carlos Gimenez and Omar Blanco have called for Cody to step down, saying the comments are unfit for someone in elected office.

While critics have accused Fournier of leading a “cancel culture” crusade, he argues his campaign is about accountability. “This is not cancel culture,” he said. “This is consequence culture. You want to praise an assassination? Fine. But don’t cry when your boss, your school board, or your community finds out what kind of sick, soulless person you really are.”

Newly declassified Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) documents suggest that senior congressional staffers working for Senator Adam Schiff (D-CA), then a member of the House of Representatives, coordinated with intelligence officials and journalists to leak classified or sensitive information during the early months of the first Trump administration—actions some FBI sources believe were aimed at undermining the presidency.

The documents include FBI interview summaries (“302s”) with a whistleblower who served on the House Intelligence Committee for over a decade. According to the whistleblower, Schiff’s office formed a “Russia team” in early 2017 that selectively funneled intelligence to the press through intermediaries, including staff spouses who were reporters.

A February 13, 2017, meeting is cited as a key moment, where Schiff allegedly instructed aides to “leak classified derogatory information” about Trump to “friendly” journalists. Among the staffers named are Rheanne Wirkkala, Michael Bahar, Timothy Bergreen, and Patrick Boland.

The whistleblower told the FBI that Wirkkala “used her husband, a national security reporter, as a cut-out to provide classified information to journalists, including Ellen Nakashima at the Washington Post.” The documents note that several published stories closely mirrored intelligence that had only just been shared with the committee.

“Leaking the information was one way to topple the administration,” the source said, adding, “Everything is directed at Trump and trying to get him impeached.”

The revelations emerge from one of at least seven FBI leak investigations launched between 2017 and 2020. However, none led to criminal charges. The Justice Department’s Inspector General report, released alongside the FBI files, cites “insufficient evidence” and barriers such as the Speech or Debate Clause that shielded congressional communications from scrutiny.

While the IG acknowledged that some of the whistleblower’s claims could not be corroborated, the report also noted that certain digital records, such as deleted messages, spousal communications, and broader e-mail data, were not obtained during the probe.

Media figures mentioned in the documents include Nakashima, Michael Schmidt of the New York Times, and Shane Harris of the Washington Post, among others. The whistleblower alleged these journalists received “curated” leaks from intelligence staffers or their proxies.

Current FBI Director Kash Patel is reportedly reviewing whether to reopen several leak cases. The statute of limitations for unauthorized disclosure of classified information is 10 years, while espionage has no time limit.

A New York judge on September 16 dismissed two terrorism-related charges against Luigi Mangione, who is accused of fatally shooting UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson on a Manhattan street in December 2024. Police arrested Mangione five days later in rural Pennsylvania, where he was reportedly found with a weapon matching the one used in the attack, a fake ID, and a notebook expressing anger toward the healthcare industry.

He also openly fantasized about President Donald J. Trump dying this past Labor Day.

The Texas state government announced that more than 100 school teachers are set to lose their certification over “reprehensible and inappropriate” celebrations of the assassination of Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk. Governor Greg Abbott (R-TX) announced the revocations on Tuesday, revealing that the Texas Education Agency (TEA) launched an investigation last Friday into teachers it alleges “have proliferated such vile content.”

Local Texas news outlets report that state officials have already received over 180 complaints regarding educators who have either celebrated or justified Kirk’s assassination. “While the exercise of free speech is a fundamental right we are all blessed to share, it does not give carte blanche authority to celebrate or sow violence against those that share differing beliefs and perspectives,” the Texas Education Agency (TEA) announcement states.

One incident involved a Pflugerville ISD employee who posted that she refused “to feel bad about the death of a Nazi,” a comment highlighted by State Representative Hillary Hickland (R). Meanwhile, Texas State Senator Mayes Middleton (R) has called for stricter actions, stating, “Educators cheering murder must not only be fired, but also placed on do-not-hire registries and stripped of their certifications. There must be zero tolerance for this.”

Sen. Middleton further emphasized, “Their behavior proves they are unworthy of ever being entrusted with educating students again. No half measures and no passing the trash—our children must be protected from these vile individuals. I will fight to ensure they are held fully accountable.”

On Tuesday afternoon, Utah County Attorney Jeff Gray formally charged Tyler Robinson with the murder of Charlie Kirk. The charges include aggravated murder, felony discharge of a firearm, obstruction of justice, witness tampering, and committing a violent offense in the presence of a child.

Gray also confirmed that Robinson was in a relationship with a male-to-female transgender named Lance Twiggs, and had been becoming increasingly left-leaning and focused on gay and trans rights, citing his relatives.

Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) Director Kash Patel confirmed during a Senate Judiciary Committee hearing on Tuesday that the agency is investigating over 20 people connected to a Discord chat group allegedly involved in the planning of Charlie Kirk’s assassination. The suspect, Tyler Robinson, 22, was taken into custody within 33 hours of the attack, having been turned in to the authorities by his father after being recognized from security camera footage Patel ordered released to the public.

The attack occurred on September 10, 2025, at Utah Valley University, where Kirk was shot during an open forum debate. Patel defended his decision to provide real-time updates on the investigation, stating, “It’s important that this FBI is as transparent as possible without jeopardizing investigations.” He credited the FBI’s release of evidence for aiding in the identification of the suspect by his own family.

While authorities have stated that Robinson’s roommate and boyfriend, male-to-female transgender Lance Twiggs, is cooperating with authorities, the latter’s family members, speaking with the media, suggest ulterior motives. “[Twiggs] is very angry with anyone who is supportive of conservative ideals and Christian values,” a family member said in a recent interview. “As far as I know, he was not going by another name. I just know he was in the process of transitioning. I know he was trying to take different medications.”

Utah County Attorney Jeff Gray has formally charged Tyler Robinson with the murder of Charlie Kirk. The charges include aggravated murder, felony discharge of a firearm, obstruction of justice, witness tampering, and committing a violent offense in the presence of a child. Gray also confirmed that Robinson was in a relationship with a male-to-female transgender named Lance Twiggs, and had been becoming increasingly left-leaning and focused on gay and trans rights, according to his relatives.

In messages between Robinson and his roommate lover, he explained he murdered Kirk, a 31-year-old father of two, because he had “had enough of his hatred,” adding: “Some hate can’t be negotiated out.”

“Charlie Kirk was murdered while engaging in one of our most sacred and cherished American rights, the bedrock of our democratic republic, the free exchange of ideas and the search for truth, understanding, and a more perfect union,” Gray said.

He explained that the obstruction of justice charges stem from Robinson’s attempts to conceal evidence, while the witness tampering charges relate to Robinson allegedly instructing his roommate lover to delete texts and avoid communication with officials.

Gray has filed a notice of intent to pursue the death penalty in this case. Robinson remains in custody without bail.

Juge Furman, as previously reported by The National Pulse, is the scion of a powerful Democrat-aligned family. His brother Jason Furman—a Harvard economist and professor—served as the chair of the Council of Economic Advisers (CEA) under former President Obama.

Meanwhile, the judge’s late mother, Gail Furman, was an early and major backer of the George Soros-linked Media Matters for America organization and its founder, David Brock. Additionally, the Furman Foundation served as a major donor to the Tides Center—an affiliate of the far-left Tides Foundation.

Already, Judge Furman has presided over the Mahmoud Khalil deportation case, blocking the Trump administration’s attempts to remove the pro-Hamas activist and foreign national from the country. Even more astounding is that Judge Furman oversaw the late 2018 case Department of Commerce v. New York, in which Furman barred the first Trump administration from adding a citizenship status question to 2020 Census forms.

Maurene Comey’s tenure at the DOJ saw her assigned several high-profile prosecutions, raising allegations of nepotism due to her father’s position and influence. As a DOJ attorney, Comey participated in the prosecutions of Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell and led the Combs prosecution.
