Vice President JD Vance told reporters Monday that Russian President Vladimir Putin “doesn’t quite know how to get out of the war,” as President Donald J. Trump prepared to confront him in a direct call scheduled for 10 AM. ET.

Vance, speaking aboard Air Force Two, said Trump would ask Putin if he is “serious” about ending the conflict in Ukraine, stressing that America will not “spin its wheels” in a futile negotiation.

“The talks have been proceeding for a little while. We realize that we’re at a bit of an impasse here,” Vance said. “I think the president’s going to say to President Putin, look, are you serious? Are you real about this?”

He described the state of negotiations as uncertain, noting that Putin “has made some concessions” but added, “We feel like we’re at a point where we’re hitting an impasse, and that’s why the president is talking to him on the phone.”

“I’m not sure that Vladimir Putin has a strategy himself for how to unwind the war,” Vance said. “I think, honestly, that President Putin, he doesn’t quite know how to get out of the war… I think the president would agree with that.”

Vance confirmed Trump’s willingness to disengage if the peace process proves unserious: “We’re still more than open to walking away,” he said. “We want to see outcomes.”

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, who has agreed to meet with Putin, accused the Russian leader of cowardice for sending a “low-level” delegation, saying Putin was “afraid.”

White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt echoed Trump’s sense of urgency, telling The National Pulse that the president has grown weary and frustrated with both sides of the conflict.

Gary Lineker, a former England soccer star and top-paid BBC presenter, will step down from his role at the de facto state broadcaster following backlash over his social media activity. Martin’s confirmation of an investigation into Biden’s pardons comes as James Comer (R-KY), Chairman of the House Oversight Committee, says evidence has been uncovered that, “[W]hat we’ve found is, not just with the pardons he issued, but many of the executive orders that the courts are now using to Trump-proof many of the executive orders that President Trump is trying to implement to make government more efficient… these were all signed with the autopen.”

“Joe Biden wasn’t capable of making decisions; he wasn’t coherent,” Comer said of the period when these pardons and executive orders were signed. “We think we’ve identified who the staffers are… We’re going to bring everyone that we believe was involved in any role in the use of the autopen. Anti-Christian Who Wanted ‘War Against Pro-Lifers’ Bombs Fertility Clinic.

A man opposed to pro-life values committed what authorities are calling “an intentional act of terrorism” over the weekend, bombing a reproductive center in California.

The details: On Saturday, 25-year-old Guy Edward Bartkus blew up his car outside the American Reproductive Centers (ARC) in Palm Springs, killing himself and injuring four others. ARC performs IVF treatments, egg retrievals, and other fertility care.

  • Police found two rifles and ammunition with the exploded vehicle.
  • None of the embryos or other “sensitive material” was damaged by the blast.

His motive: Bartkus is a self-described “pro-mortalist” and “anti-natalist.” In a manifesto posted to his website with the tag line “F*ck you pro-lifers!,” he wrote:

  • “I think we need a war against pro-lifers.”
  • “I just wanted to say, your god definitely doesn’t exist, but if he did, I’d choose satan over your evil god. Did you ever think that maybe the bible is just slander against satan, and that satan just realized what a f***ing creep your god is?”

Glossary: A pro-mortalist believes death can be good or should happen sooner. An anti-natalist thinks having children is wrong because life causes pain or harm.

What they’re saying: The FBI Los Angeles field office confirmed: “This was a targeted attack against the IVF facility. Make no mistake, we are treating this, as I said yesterday, is an intentional act of terrorism.”

President Joe Biden has been diagnosed with an aggressive type of prostate cancer that has metastasized to his bones, according to a statement from his office released on Sunday.

The statement detailed that Biden’s cancer is characterized by a Gleason score of 9 (Grade Group 5), indicating a highly aggressive form of the disease. However, it noted the cancer appears to be hormone-sensitive, allowing for more effective management.

“The President and his family are reviewing treatment options with his physicians,” the statement added.

The diagnosis followed evaluations after a small nodule was discovered in Biden’s prostate, which led to further medical examinations last week. Prostate cancer is one of the most common cancers affecting men, second only to skin cancer, according to the Cleveland Clinic.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) reports that 13 out of every 100 men will develop prostate cancer during their lifetime, with age being the most significant risk factor. Biden, now 82, is the oldest person to have served as president in U.S. history.
