The Trump administration is moving to classify four European organizations tied to Antifa as Foreign Terrorist Organizations (FTOs). Among the designated groups are Germany’s Antifa Ost, Italy’s International Revolutionary Front, and Greece’s Armed Proletarian Justice and Revolutionary Class Self Defense. They will appear on the same list as infamous terror networks such as al-Qaeda, the Islamic State, and various cartels, turning any material support for them into a criminal offense.

Officials in Europe have tied Antifa Ost to a wave of assaults in Budapest, Hungary, in February 2023. Meanwhile, the International Revolutionary Front has been behind a string of violent incidents in Italy, such as bombings and a deadly shooting in 2012. In Greece, Armed Proletarian Justice tried to bomb a police facility, and Revolutionary Class Self Defense has also orchestrated several bombings, apparently to back Palestinian causes.

Senator Eric Schmitt (R-MO) applauded the step, saying, “Designating them as [Foreign Terrorist Organizations] is an important step to dismantling this subversive network of far-left extremism.” It builds on President Donald J. Trump’s earlier move to label the Antifa movement in America a domestic terrorist group.

“The anarchists, Marxists, and violent extremists of Antifa have waged a terror campaign in the United States and across the Western world for decades, carrying out bombings, beatings, shootings, and riots in service of their extreme agenda,” said State Department spokesman Tommy Pigott, adding that the State Department under Trump and Rubio “is committed to identifying and dismantling these terror networks that conspire to ruthlessly suppress the will of the people and violently undermine the very foundations of the United States and Western Civilization.”

Senator John Fetterman (D-PA) broke once again with his fellow Democrats on Thursday, criticizing the former Biden government for failing to release documents concerning deceased pedophile Jeffrey Epstein. Speaking with MSNBC’s Morning Joe co-host Jonathan Lemire, the Pennsylvania Senator stated that while Democrats forcing the release of the Epstein files is “entirely appropriate,” he has questions on why his party sat on the documents while they were in power.

“You know, another one of my questions is like … we sat on those for four years, too. So, I mean, I don’t really understand, you know, either. I mean, there are a lot of questions,” Fetterman said. Late Wednesday, House Democrats secured the votes necessary for a discharge petition that will force a vote on releasing the files in the chamber.

Recently released documents from the Epstein estate contain emails from author and fabulist Michael Wolff that appear to show him advising Epstein on how to possibly blackmail President Donald J. Trump. While it was reported in May that Trump was told that his name did appear in the files, Virginia Giuffre—one of Epstein’s most prominent victims—did not accuse the President of any wrongdoing in her posthumous memoir released in October.

Other victims of Epstein told NBC News in September that they never witnessed any misconduct by Trump. Additionally, Bradley Edwards—an attorney representing several of the victims—has publicly attested to Trump’s assistance with his litigation. “The only thing that I can say about President Trump is that he is the only person who in 2009, when I served a lot of subpoenas against a lot of people… he is the only person that picked up the phone and said, ‘Let’s just talk, I’ll give ya as much time as you want, I’ll tell ya what you need to know,’” Edwards stated in a 2018 video.

California officials are finally admitting they issued commercial driver’s licenses (CDLs) to illegal immigrants. On Wednesday, state officials announced they will revoke 17,000 CDLs that were granted to immigrants who they now acknowledge remained in the U.S. after the expiration of their legal status.

The decision comes on the heels of heavy criticism from the Trump White House over the Golden State’s issuance of licenses to drivers in the country illegally. U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) Secretary Sean Duffy stated, “After weeks of claiming they did nothing wrong, Gavin Newsom and California have been caught red-handed. It is estimated that thousands of restaurant and hospitality industry workers in the nation’s capital will be impacted by the D.C. Council’s new tax law. Provisions in the OBBB allow workers to deduct up to $25,000 in tips and $12,500 in overtime pay for single filers, with higher amounts for joint filers. However, these deductions will not be reflected in local tax returns due to the Council’s decision.

Additionally, the D.C. Council ended the $6,000 local senior bonus deduction and other business-related tax breaks in an effort to improve the city’s finances. Concerningly, estimates suggest the District of Columbia could face a revenue shortfall well over $1 billion over the next three years. The budget gap is primarily being driven by the Trump administration’s reductions in the federal workforce and increasing costs for the city’s social programs.

“At our most recent Legislative Meeting, the Council voted on an emergency basis to decouple elements of the District’s tax code from the federal, following Congress’ passage of the so-called One Big Beautiful Bill Act (OBBBA). In doing so, and in light of revised revenue estimates by the District’s Chief Financial Officer (CFO), the Council also voted to dedicate a portion of the newfound revenue to two purposes: an accelerated full local match for the federal Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC) and the establishment of a local child tax credit of $1,000 per child for eligible families,” the D.C. Council said in a statement.

The emergency amendment applies for 90 days, with a planned temporary extension of 225 days. A permanent measure will require further Council votes.

Attorneys for New York Attorney General Letitia James (D) and former Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) Director James Comey will appear in federal court on Thursday in an attempt to have interim U.S. Attorney Lindsey Halligan disqualified from prosecuting their cases. The hearing will be overseen by Judge Cameron Currie, a Clinton appointee, in South Carolina, with the legal teams for James and Comey expected to move that Halligan’s appointment is illegal under federal law.

Halligan, one of President Donald J. Trump’s former personal lawyers, was named by Attorney General Pam Bondi as interim U.S. attorney for the Eastern District of Virginia in September. Halligan replaced Erik Siebert, who resigned after reportedly refusing to bring charges against Comey and James.

James and Comey’s legal teams claim Halligan’s appointment violated legal limits on who can serve as an interim U.S. attorney. They argue that the federal statute allows for only one 120-day appointment by the attorney general, after which the position must be filled by court-directed means. The Department of Justice (DOJ), however, contends that Siebert’s resignation reset the 120-day clock, permitting Bondi to appoint Halligan temporarily.

The issue is significant because Halligan was the sole federal prosecutor to sign the indictments and present evidence to grand juries in the cases against James and Comey. If disqualified, it could impact the validity of the indictments. Three other DOJ prosecutors have already been disqualified by federal courts in related matters.

Seven men in England have been charged with more than 40 offences, including rape, sexual exploitation, and drug-related crimes, involving 11 teenage victims in Bristol. The alleged crimes took place between 2022 and 2025. All suspects were re-arrested during a targeted police operation on November 11 and are due to appear before Bristol Magistrates’ Court.

Those charged include Mohamed Arafe, a Syrian Arab, Sina Omari, an Iranian Arab, Wadie Sharaf, a Syrian Arab, Hussain Bashar, a British citizen whose ethnicity is not officially confirmed, and Mohammed Kurdi, a British citizen of Arab ethnicity. Two additional suspects, a 19-year-old man and a 26-year-old man, go unnamed in several reports, but journalist Charlie Peters has identified them as Sardam Ahmed, from Iraq, and Ihab Al-Eisawi, from Egypt. Peters reports that Ahmed and Al-Eisawi arrived in Britain illegally on small boats, while Arafe was imported by the government in 2019 under a Syrian refugee resettlement scheme.

Detective Chief Inspector Tom Herbert, who is leading the investigation, said: “This remains a complex and sensitive investigation which has the protection of young girls from exploitation and the disruption of offending at its very heart. Working with our partners, we’ve ensured the most appropriate safeguarding measures and support has been made available to each victim to protect them from harm.”

Bristol Superintendent Deepak Kenth added: “We know this update will be a huge shock to our communities and I want to reassure everyone that we’ll continue to work tirelessly to protect children from abuse and exploitation.”

According to police, Arafe faces five counts of arranging or facilitating the sexual exploitation of a child, as well as drug supply charges. Omari has been charged with multiple counts of rape and sexual exploitation. Sharaf, Bashar, and Kurdi face similar allegations, with specific details outlined by investigators.

The case comes amid renewed national scrutiny of group-based child sexual exploitation in the United Kingdom, following a series of high-profile reviews and reopened investigations forced by pressure from figures including Reform Party leader Nigel Farage and X (formerly Twitter) owner Elon Musk.

Earlier this year, a government-commissioned audit found that police forces had failed to identify a disproportionate number of South Asian and Pakistani-heritage Muslim men suspected of involvement in grooming gangs that targeted white girls. Notably, the audit found that ethnicity data had been omitted in the majority of relevant cases, obfuscating the scale of the predation.

The British Home Office, roughly equivalent to the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, has directed police across England and Wales to begin recording ethnicity and nationality data in all child sexual abuse investigations—although similar instructions have been ignored before.

The National Crime Agency (NCA) is currently overseeing a review of thousands of historic grooming gang files across the country, after internal audits revealed that some cases may have been prematurely closed. However, survivors have criticized the government’s handling of a planned national inquiry into grooming gangs, with several members of a victims’ liaison panel resigning and calling for the resignation of the government’s safeguarding minister.
