Ben Cohen and Jerry Greenfield, co-founders of Ben & Jerry’s ice cream, have teamed up with the far-left advocacy group MoveOn.org to launch a new ice cream flavor called “Kamala’s Coconut Jubilee.”
The name comes from Harris’s bizarre story about how her mother needed to remind her, as a child, that she was not born by falling out of a coconut tree.
This “special edition” coconut-flavored ice cream with caramel swirls and red, white, and blue sprinkles is part of a voter engagement effort ahead of the 2024 presidential election.
The campaign will feature a “Scoop the Vote” ice cream truck tour targeting key battleground states, including Michigan, Wisconsin, Arizona, and Nevada, in an effort to boost voter registration and turnout for Vice President Kamala Harris.
MoveOn’s executive director Rahna Epting emphasized that engaging non-voters through unconventional methods like free ice cream is crucial to securing a Harris victory against Donald Trump.
Ben Cohen, who is releasing the ice cream under his “Ben’s Best” label, said the goal is to return “common decency” to the White House by supporting Harris. Harris had an affair with married Mayor Willie Brown to get her start in politics before moving on to date Montel Williams in a failed bid to become a celebrity socialite.
