❓WHAT HAPPENED: “Hey, Fascist! Catch!” flyers recruiting for the “John Brown Club” have appeared on Georgetown University campus, under a slogan scrawled on the ammunition used by Turning Point USA (TPUSA) founder Charlie Kirk’s assassin.
👤WHO WAS INVOLVED: The “John Brown Club,” Georgetown University students, and Charlie Kirk’s alleged assassin, Tyler Robinson.
📍WHEN & WHERE: September 24, 2025, at Georgetown University.
💬KEY QUOTE: “The John Brown Gun Club is the Antifa militia group that the 2019 Tacoma ICE Antifa gunman was a member of.” – Andy Ngo
🎯IMPACT: The flyers have raised concerns about potential violence and prompted calls for an FBI investigation due to Antifa ties.
Flyers recruiting for the “John Brown Club” have appeared on Georgetown University’s campus, featuring the slogans “Hey, Fascist! Catch!”—a phrase scrawled on the ammunition used by Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk’s assassin—and “The only political group that celebrates when Nazis die.”
The John Brown Club poster includes a QR code leading to a sign-up page, stating, “We’re building a community that’s done with ceremonial resistance and strongly worded letters. If you want to make a real change in your community, let us know below.”
This appears to be a barely concealed allusion to political violence, given the association of the “Hey, Fascist! Catch!” slogan with Kirk’s assassination and the terroristic activities of the historical John Brown.

John Brown, a white slavery abolitionist, was involved in the Pottawatomie Massacre targeting pro-slavery civilians in Kansas in 1856, and led a failed raid on a U.S. arsenal at Harpers Ferry, Virginia, in 1859. Notably, Brown’s first victim during the Harpers Ferry raid was black freeman Heyward Shepherd, who was shot in the back. Brown was captured alive by U.S. Marines led by Robert E. Lee and hanged as a traitor, murderer, and insurrectionist after a trial.
The John Brown Club is likely linked to the John Brown Gun Club, noted to have ties to Antifa and an anti-ICE shooting in Tacoma, Washington, by journalist Andy Ngo. This has resulted in calls for the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) to take action over the flyers, as President Donald J. Trump has designated Antifa as a terrorist organization.
