Gold star mother, Christy Shamblin, left a CNN anchor stunned when she revealed that her family had not heard from President Biden or his administration and that their outreach to the White House had been ignored.
During an interview with Shamblin, who will attend Biden’s State of the Union address as a guest of House Foreign Affairs Committee Chairman Michael McCaul, CNN host Abby Phillip tried to highlight Biden’s allegedly positive reputation as the “Consoler in Chief.”
“He’s often called the ‘Consoler in Chief.’ He does talk to families who’ve lost loved ones…Have you experienced that from him?” Phillip asked, to which Shamblin responded: “No.”
A visibly shaken Phillip then asked Shamblin if she had spoken with Biden. “No,” replied Shamblin again. “He’s not reached out to our family. We’ve actually reached out to the White House and have never heard back. We asked to meet with them… We’ve not received a response. It’s been months,” Shamblin continued.
Shamblin’s daughter-in-law, Marine Sergeant Nicole Gee, was one of the 13 US troops killed in a terrorist attack during the Biden regime’s botched Afghanistan withdrawal in August 2021.
