Every phone call now seems to end with: “Who do you think is going to be Vice President?”
While always inclined to respond, “Who cares?” it’s evident many do, even if the position rarely impacts elections, and even more rarely is of great political consequence.
But, in a world where the presidential candidates are in their late 70s, perhaps the question finds new relevance.
“Who do you think is going to be Vice President?” has the subtext of, “Who do you think could be America’s 48th President?”
The list is still quite long. Those who tell you they “know who Trump will pick,” are lying to you. Trump has not yet picked. But here is a list of Donald’s Dozen – the group from which the 45th President is likely to select his 2024 running mate. I’ve kept them in alphabetical order so no one can claim preferential treatment.
