With the extension of the U.S. debt ceiling looming, ones head can spin listening to explanations as to why it is important to do the extension or not. At some level, most people understand the concept of too much debt and living beyond ones means. The difficulty is that these conversations quickly become mired “in the weeds” with the jargon of economists and Wall Street types. The listeners and readers quickly lose interest.
