White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki once questioned “what on earth is happening with” President Biden.
Speaking on October 11th, 2019, Psaki was reacting to then-candidate Biden’s comments referencing “gay bathhouses” and “round-the-clock sex” at a CNN LGBTQ Town Hall.
Host Jake Tapper inquired, “does it concern you at all?”
Psaki responded “yes,” before noting there had been several instances where she questioned “what on earth is happening” with the candidate:
Yes, look, there have been a number of moments where even those of us who have affection for Vice President Biden think what on earth is happening right now. But there’s still continues to be affection from The American public including within the Democratic primary voters for him.
She then added that Biden’s appeal is “that he says things that your uncle says”:
And part of his appeal is that he says things that your uncle says and people feel comfortable with him and it’s a return to normalcy. So yes, that was a weird comment. I’m not sure it’s going to impact him in the — in the long run.
