Singer-Songwriter Toby Keith Dead at 62.

Country music legend Toby Keith has passed away at the age of 62 after battling stomach cancer since his diagnosis in late 2021. Just days ago he had performed live to a cheering crowd, saying he would soon be “back to it.”

“Toby Keith passed away peacefully last night on February 5th, surrounded by his family,” said a statement posted to Keith’s social media.

“He fought his fight with grace and courage,” it said of his cancer battle, concluding with a request to respect his family’s privacy.

Keith is best known for patriotic songs such as Courtesy of the Red, White, and Blue, which was written in the wake of the 9/11 terror attacks and contains such uncompromising lyrics as “We’ll put a boot in your ass, it’s the American way.” He went on 11 USO tours to perform for U.S. troops serving overseas.

His repertoire earned sneers from some leftist singers, who claimed he “pander[ed] to people’s worst instincts at a time they are hurt and scared,” but he vowed he would never let the music industry “mold me into something I was not.”

He performed at Donald Trump’s inauguration in 2021 and refused to apologize for doing so.

‘Curb Your Enthusiasm’ Final Season Premiere Includes Leftist Talking Point on Georgia Voting Laws.

‘Seinfeld’ and ‘Curb Your Enthusiasm’ creator Larry David, a noted Democrat, set his sights on Georgia’s Election Integrity Act in the season premiere of ‘Curb’ on HBO on Sunday. The episode sees Larry David violating Georgia’s 2021 law, which includes a provision that disallows anyone who is not an election worker from offering water or food to voters within a 150-foot radius of a polling location.

In the episode, David’s character travels to Atlanta, where he encounters a relative of his friend and roommate standing in a voting line in blistering heat. Upon seeing her discomfort and learning that she has been waiting for over two hours, David retrieves bottled water from his vehicle.

However, his “good deed” is quickly recognized as a legal transgression, and officers arrest him. “Sir, in the navy blazer, put your hands in the air. You’re under arrest for violation of the Election Integrity Act. It is illegal for anyone in Georgia to provide food or water to voters in line at the polls,” an officer says.

The episode ends with a free-frame of David mimicking President Donald J. Trump’s iconic mugshot.

A Federal judge recently upheld other critical provisions of Georgia’s Election Integrity Act, which tightened registration dates and mail-in voting for runoff elections. Though Democrats like David may take issue with Georgia’s law and others like it, a majority of Americans believe cheating will likely occur during the 2024 presidential election.

Rapper 50 Cent Suggests ‘Trump is the Answer’ In Reaction to NYC’s Migrant Madness.

Famed rapper Curtis Jackson, known by his stage name 50 Cent, took to Instagram on Saturday to criticize New York City Mayor Eric Adams over a recently announced plan to distribute money to illegal immigrants using pre-loaded debit cards. Sharing a photograph of a New York Post article outlining the initiative, Jackson expressed his confusion and concern over the matter, candidly stating, “Maybe Trump is the answer.”

Adams’s plan, revealed last Friday, involves distributing $53 million in pre-paid debit cards, dubbed “Immediate Response Cards”, to aid illegal immigrants in food purchases from bodegas, grocery stores, supermarkets, and convenience stores, much like the state’s Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program for low-income residents.

The news has seen 50 Cent become one of a growing number of personalities in the music industry to voice support for former President Donald Trump, joining rapper Snoop Dogg who recently declared his respect for Trump. He stated, “He ain’t done nothing wrong to me. He has done only great things for me. He pardoned Michael Harris, so I have nothing but love and respect for Donald Trump.”

Biden Camp Mulls Sending Joe to Taylor Swift ‘Eras’ Concert for Positive Press.

President Joe Biden’s re-election campaign seeks to harness Taylor Swift‘s star power to boost his appeal to young voters. Polls continue to show former President Donald Trump either running neck-and-neck or just ahead of Biden in the 2024 general election. To give him a much-needed edge over Trump, the Biden camp seeks to associate the 81-year-old Biden directly or indirectly with Swift — and is even floating the idea of his appearing at one of her concerts.

California Governor Gavin Newsom has already begged Swift to back Biden. “Taylor Swift stands tall and unique,” the California Governor said in September last year. He added: “What she was able to accomplish just in getting young people activated to consider that they have a voice and that they should have a choice in the next election, I think, is profoundly powerful.”

Even without the endorsement, the Biden campaign has drawn up potential plans to align the Democrat incumbent with the pop star. One such idea is to send Biden to attend one of Swift’s “Era’s Tour” concerts just before the election.

Taylor Swift’s global popularity has garnered her a massive social media following. Last year, a single Instagram post from Swift moved 35,00r followers to register to vote. During the 2020 election, she endorsed Biden for President, and his re-election campaign believes if they can secure Swift’s endorsement again, it could net them millions of more votes.

A Democrat SuperPAC has launched a $1 million effort using paid influencers on social media apps — like Instagram and the Chinese-owned TikTok — to encourage young voters to back Biden. With Swift, the Biden campaign hopes to secure an endorsement that could drive millions of young voters to the polls for the octogenarian Democrat.

Protesters Douse Da Vinci’s Mona Lisa in Soup.

Protesters attacked Leonardo Da Vinci’s infamous Mona Lisa painting at the Louvre Museum in Paris on Saturday, hurling soup at the impenetrable glass encasing the 16th-century artwork. The perpetrators, both women wearing T-shirts with the message “food counterattack,” asserted demands for “healthy and sustainable food,” deeming the nation’s agricultural system “sick.” Museum security stepped in, setting up black screens to obscure the protesters before the area was evacuated.

The group, known in French as Riposte Alimentaire, is demanding that the state give citizens a monthly food card worth €150 ($165).

The Mona Lisa has been protected by robust glass since the early 1950s after an acid attack by a visitor. It was attacked with cake in 2022.

The revered artwork has weathered various ordeals, including an infamous theft in 1911 by a Louvre employee, Vincenzo Peruggia. Secreting himself in a museum cupboard overnight, Peruggia absconded with the piece, sparking an international attention. The purloined painting resurfaced two years later when Peruggia attempted to sell it to an antiques dealer in Florence, Italy.

Snoop Dogg Now Says He Has ‘Nothing But Love and Respect’ for Donald Trump.

Rapper Snoop Dogg, real name Calvin Broadus Jr., has said he now has “nothing but love” for former U.S. President Donald J. Trump. The 52-year-old Gin and Juice star told The Times of London, “Donald Trump? He ain’t done nothing wrong to me. He has done only great things for me. He pardoned Michael Harris.”

Harris – the co-founder of Snoop Dogg’s first record label, Death Row – had his 1980s cocaine-trafficking conviction commuted by Trump in 2021. Harris had served 25 years of his 33 year sentence.

“So I have nothing but love and respect for Donald Trump,” Snoop continued, before adding “I may have to,” when asked about making an endorsement in the 2024 election. “Because there are mixed views on that, so I want to see what the people say…” he hedged.

In 2017, the rapper released a music video for his song Lavender that depicted him pointing a toy gun at a clown-like caricature of Trump, inciting backlash from Trump and his lawyers.

“Can you imagine what the outcry would be if @SnoopDogg, failing career and all, had aimed and fired the gun at President Obama?” Trump tweeted at the time, concluding, “Jail time!”

Bud Light Tries to Salvage Brand with Super Bowl Ad Campaign.

Bud Light is using an expensive Super Bowl ad campaign to resurrect its image and win back beer drinkers. The brand hopes customers will forget its affair with a transgender TikToker Dylan Mulvaney.

The details: Bud Light’s parent company, Anheuser-Busch (AB), is forking out big bucks for a 60-second ad that will reportedly introduce a new brand character. And according to Kyle Norrington, AB’s chief commercial officer, you can expect “some really funny advertising.”

The price tag: We don’t know the exact figure, but it’s estimated that advertisers fork out about $7 million for thirty seconds.

Back up: Bud Light customers abandoned the beer by the caseload after an ill-advised marketing deal with transgender TikToker Dylan Mulvaney last April.

Sales plunge: Since going trans, Bud Light lost its title as the nation’s top-selling domestic beer to Modello Especial. In the first two weeks of 2024, Bud Light’s retail-store sales are down 28.9 percent compared to the same time last year. Modelo is up 15.1 percent.

More about the ad: AB released a 12-second teaser online featuring a man wearing metallic sunglasses with a handlebar mustache. One fan in the ad is wearing a Peyton Manning jersey, leading to speculation that the Hall of Fame quarterback might be the man behind the glasses. Someone is then heard to scream, “LET’S GO!!!” – which is widely recognized as the “Allahu Akbar” for white guys.

Planned Parenthood Releases Groomer Sex Vid In Case You Had That Baby They Tried to Murder.

Abortion industry advocates ‘Planned Parenthood’ released a video this week denying the concept of virginity and encouraging children to embark on a “sexual journey.” The video features a woman in what appears to be an elementary school classroom, replete with bright, child-friendly colors.

After claiming virginity “isn’t real” and a “made-up concept” invented to “control and shame people,” the woman then goes on to criticize the notion of virginity further because it excludes sexual deviants: “Where does that definition leave queer people? Or folks who can’t, or don’t, have penis-in-vagina sex and choose to have oral, anal, or another type of sex instead?”

Things then take a sinister turn as the woman encourages children to engage in sexual practices and assures them that there is no shame in doing so: “Shame has no place in someone’s personal decisions about sex. It’s time to throw away the notion of losing your virginity! What if instead of ‘losing’ something, we reframe it as ‘gaining’? Because the truth is, when we make our own decision to become sexually active, we aren’t setting ourselves up to lose anything at all!”

She then encourages children to define their own version of sex. She graphically lists sexual terms and concepts and suggests kids “enthusiastically consent” to having sex: “You get to decide and define what sex — and virginity — mean for you. Maybe that’s being fingered for the first time. Maybe it’s having anal sex. Maybe it’s having your first orgasm. Maybe it’s masturbating for the first time. Maybe it’s when you enthusiastically consent to sex. That’s the beauty of your sexual journey.”

The video comes as parents across the country are increasingly resisting the LGBTQ movement’s efforts to sexualize children and expose them to inappropriate content.

Florida Moves to Ban Under-16s from Social Media.

Republican lawmakers in the Florida House of Representatives advanced legislation aimed at protecting minors from harmful content on social media. House Bill 1 requires a ban on social media platforms for users under 16. It also mandates age verification services by a third party.

State Rep. Fiona McFarland, a Republican cosponsor of the bill, compared social media to “a digital fentanyl.” The legislation would allow parents to sue social media companies that do not remove their child’s account.

Florida Republicans say the legislation is part of an effort to reduce bullying, depression, and suicide linked to social media use. The bill allows exemptions for websites primarily used for emails, texts, and streaming services. However, it has drawn criticism for its vague language and potential infringements on First Amendment rights.

Lawmakers have not specified which social media platforms might be impacted. If it becomes law, Instagram, Facebook, Snapchat, and YouTube could be exposed to potential legal liabilities. Meta, the parent company of Facebook and Instagram, believes its social media platforms fall outside the scope of House Bill 1. Before passage, language was added to the legislation limiting its applicability to social media apps that feature “addictive, harmful, or deceptive design features.”

The Florida State Senate will take up the legislation next. If adopted, it will be sent to Republican Governor Ron DeSantis to sign into law.

‘Wag the Dog’ Writer Says Trump the Best Prez Since Honest Abe.

Famed playwright and filmmaker David Mamet believes Donald Trump is the best president since Abraham Lincoln. Speaking with UnHerd, Mamet lauded the border stability, strong economy, and global peace the Trump presidency achieved.

“He brought peace to the Middle East. He closed the border. He made us an energy exporter,” Mamet said in an interview with the British website, continuing: “He had the best rating among African Americans of any president ever. And the country was at peace and prosperous in the world.”

Mamet defended Trump from critics who claim his brash New York style alienates voters. “He’s got a big mouth, so do I. The question is, who do you like in a fair fight with your back to the wall?” Mamet argued, adding: “Who would you rather have? Joe Biden, who’s a senile old bag-man, or Donald Trump, who’s a scrapper and loves his country?”

Modern Theater ‘Stinks’.

Once a staunch liberal, Mamet penned an essay in 2008 in The Village Voice entitled, “Why I Am No Longer a ‘Brain-Dead Liberal” — coming out as a political conservative. Mamet, who won a Pulitzer Prize for his play Glengarry Glen Ross, panned the modern theater industry. “The theatre is not only dead, it stinks,” he told UnHerd, blaming the political left’s embrace of censorship and ‘diversity and inclusion‘ for stifling creativity.

“Now we have political commissars who say, in addition to the Artistic Director, in addition to the Managing Director, we have to have a Director of Diversity, who’s on top of everything,” Mamet lamented, before adding: “And we’re all going to pay attention to this person who tells us, you don’t have enough black women in the play, or you don’t have enough trans people… If somebody’s not telling you a story, then that theatre stinks.”
