A new AIDS memorial in Palm Springs, California is stirring controversy, due to its similarity to an orifice which is often people’s first point of contact with the disease.
From one side, the $500,000 memorial looks like a generic, donut-like modernist sculpture engraved with a swirling pattern – but from the other side it resembles an anus.
“The backside of the proposed memorial looks like a graphic depiction of the backside of a human being,” said local activist Gene Brake.
“That’s definitely a butthole,” remarked one social media user.
While HIV and AIDS can be contracted through vaginal sex and needle-sharing, they are most commonly contracted through male-on-male anal sex, with gay and bisexual men accounting for a grossly disproportionate share of the infected.
The lifetime risk of contracting HIV for gay men is one in six, rising to one in four among gay Latino men and an astonishing one in two among gay black men, according to data from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control (CDC).

The British General Medical Council (GMC) has updated its internal policy to remove all mentions of the word “mother” for its employees, opting instead for “parent” to avoid female-specific language.
The guidance also changed the term “surrogate mother” in favor of “surrogate parent,” explaining in a maternity document that the “GMC offers maternity to all colleagues going on maternity leave,” including so-called surrogate parents.
The GMC further updated its menopause advice to suggest that it does not only impact women, making clear that it “will work proactively to make adjustments where necessary to support individuals experiencing the menopause.”
Heather Welford of the maternity action group With Woman told one outlet following the guidance update, “[t]he decision by the GMC to obscure the fact that only women have babies is ideologically driven, medically inaccurate and unhelpful to women and babies. It moves away from the drive for plain English and makes medical literature unclear.”
“For medical professionals, the sex of a person is salient to their health care. Reputable organisations such as the GMC should not be changing language on a population level to pander to ideologically driven pressure groups,” she added.
This follows a British government-funded LGBT organization recommending people refer to vaginas as “bonus holes” to increase inclusivity earlier this summer.

Author Salman Rushdie, recently attacked by a radical Islamic terrorist in New York, is now claiming the West in which he has sought refuge for decades is not so great, and that a “golden age myth” lays behind movements such as “MAGA” and Brexit.
Despite relying upon the West’s commitment to freedom of expression and millions of dollars in taxpayer resources that have ensured his safety after former Iranian leader Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini issued a “fatwa” against him in 1989, Rushdie told an audience on Wednesday:
“Make America Great Again’ – that’s always made me want to ask: ‘When exactly was that?’ What is the date to which we are looking backwards? Was it, for example, when there was slavery? Was it before women had the right to vote? Was it before the civil rights movement?”
Rushdie also hit out at Republicans voters specifically, claiming they no longer value democratic values enshrined in the First Amendment and are embracing authoritarianism due to concerns about the fairness of the 2020 presidential election. He argued, “When you have the large majority of Republican voters believing that the last election was stolen… if the assault on truth has reached that level of success, then we’re in real trouble.”
He made no comment on the authoritarian use of power by the left, in order to imprison those with differing opinions on the matter, including President Trump. Rushdie went on to suggest Brexit – which has never been fully implemented by the British government – was a “catastrophe”.
“In England, the Brexit catastrophe was the result of another golden age myth, which is: ‘England used to be this glorious country and it could be that glorious country again, if only we could get rid of all these foreigners,” Rushdie retorted, without signaling whether or not he, a foreigner, would return to his native India. Probably not, though.

Actor and infamous Hollywood liberal Sean Penn wants to make AI replicas of the daughters of major motion picture studio executives and, according to him, let his friends do whatever they want to them. Penn’s bizarre comments come in response to the ongoing Hollywood writers and actors strike, where the issue of studio use and control over AI generated likenesses of actors has become a critical sticking point.
When asked about the strikes during an interview with Variety, the actor proposed his solution to the impasse over AI: asking film executives, on camera:
“So you want my scans and voice data and all that. OK, here’s what I think is fair: I want your daughter’s, because I want to create a virtual replica of her and invite my friends over to do whatever we want in a virtual party right now. Would you please look at the camera and tell me you think that’s cool?”
– Sean Penn, September 2023.
Over-the-top outbursts against his perceived enemies is not unusual for Penn, now 63 years old. In a 2018 opinion piece for Time, the actor declared that then President Donald Trump was the “enemy of mankind” and an “enemy of the state” insinuating that Trump was an immediate threat to the American people. In 2003, Penn took out a full page ad in the New York Times to attack President George W. Bush, warning that the American flag was becoming “a haunting banner of murder, greed, and treason against our principles”
Most recently, the Oscar-winning actor has taken up the cause of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and his country’s war with Russia, making a failed push for the Ukrainian president to address the crowd and cameras at the Academy Awards in 2022.

The British government is considering banning American XL bully dogs following a series of attacks in the United Kingdom. Home Secretary Suella Braverman described the breed as a “clear and lethal danger” to people, particularly children. Braverman revealed that she has sought “urgent advice” on the matter after an XL bully attacked three individuals, including an 11-year-old child, over the weekend. Over half of the 10 fatal dog attacks in Britain last year involved an XL bully, according to the Guardian.
The American Bully Kennel Club describes the XL bully as a breed that gives the “impression of great strength for its size.” The British public has increasingly embraced XL bullies in recent years, viewing the dogs’ size and strength as a status symbol. However, experts and social media users were divided over whether recent attacks justified a full ban on the breed. Some advocated for stricter regulation of breeders and dog owners, while others supported a ban due to concerns over the breed’s reactivity and prey drive.
In Britain, if an owner is found to possess a banned breed without special court permission, police or local officials can seize the dog, even if it is not acting dangerously. The dog is then assessed for risk by an expert, and in some cases, euthanized. Owning a dog that is considered dangerously out of control in Britain is an offense that carries an unlimited fine and a prison sentence of up to six months. Dog attacks globally constitute tens of millions of injuries each year, with children at the highest risk.

Five prominent law firms in the United States have been accused of operating diversity programs that either exclude white applicants or explicitly favor minorities. Morrison & Foerster and Perkins Coie were sued last month over their minority-only fellowships, and experts suggest that these lawsuits could have broader implications for the legal profession. Other firms being accused of the practice include Wachtell Lipton, Winston & Strawn, Baker McKenzie, Sidley Austin, and Susman Godfrey. These firms have been ranked as some of the top in the country.
The law firms’ diversity programs, which range from paid internships to mentoring programs and cash awards, have stringent criteria based on race. While many white-shoe law firms have initiatives to boost minority representation, these firms stand out by limiting or entirely excluding white applicants.
The potential legal challenges to these discriminatory practices are expected to increase following the Supreme Court’s decision regarding affirmative action, according to Kenneth Marcus, the former Assistant Secretary for Civil Rights at the Education Department during the Trump administration. Some experts believe that these programs violate Title VII of the Civil Rights Act, and complainants argue that they are instances of pay discrimination and favor minority employees.
The recent affirmative action verdict may impact law firms’ decisions in defending race-based programs. Conservative groups they intend to launch a major campaign against radical corporate ‘Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion’ programs. Professor David Bernstein from George Mason University Law School suggests most of these programs violate employment and contracting laws, including one that is ironically referred to as a scholarship but appears to be an employment bonus. In the case of Wachtell, however, experts argue that the firm has explicitly set aside a quota of first-year positions based on race, which they believe is blatantly illegal.

The Mayor of Burbank, Konstantine Anthony, was bent over a table and spanked by a transvestite at the Santa Clarita Valley Democrats’ Drag Queen Bingo fundraiser the day before 9/11, causing uproar on social media.
Anthony, who is running for Los Angeles County Supervisor, can be seen smiling and clapping after being paddled by a man in a dress and platform heels in video shared by Chaya Raichik of Libs of TikTok, who said the mayor “received a spanking from a drag queen in front of children” at the event.
The Democrat vehemently denies children saw him being spanked and that the event was only attended by over-21s. Material promoting the event was incoherent, however, saying it was “not suitable for children” but also that it was open to anyone over age 15.
Local media reports it has not been possible to verify whether minors were present or not.
Anthony, who describes himself as an autistic ex-homeless on his website, also suggested that Raichik was “jealous” about his spanking.

Behind-the-scenes political intrigue exclusively for Pulse+ subscribers.
Walter Isaacson, the official biographer of Elon Musk, claims the “X” (formerly Twitter) owner has a “demon mode” which enables him to deal with the “maniacal intensity” of running six different companies and having almost one dozen children with three different mothers.
Isaacson, asked about Musk’s childhood and early relationships, told an interviewer: “He had a very tough childhood. He learned how to deal with pain, and he learned to love drama that his father instilled in him. He was bullied as a child, and his father sided with the bullies.”
“So, throughout his life Musk has had these dark demons. Sometimes great people have dark demons in their head, and they’re able to channel those demons to become driven,” Isaacson added.
“He is driven by demons,” the biographer of Steve Jobs and Henry Kissinger told the Financial Times.
Isaacson’s new book – out Tuesday – has already caused a stir with claims that Musk “put lives at risk” after he allegedly limited Ukraine’s Starlink to prevent an attack off the coast of Crimea in 2022. Musk says he made the decision to avoid complicity “in a major act of war.”

Billionaire globalist Bill Gates appears to be bailing out Anheuser-Busch after the company took a public relations and financial hit from partnering with transgender social media personality Dylan Mulvaney. The firm lost at least $4 billion in value in aftermath, with Gates reported to be purchasing 1.7 million shares at a cost of $95 million.
The 2023 second quarter report for AB InBev, Anheuser-Busch’s parent company, indicates the beer brewer saw U.S. sales fall 10.5 percent, equating to about $395 million in lost sales. AB InBev’s shareholder presentation bluntly admits the company’s performance was “…impacted by volume decline of Bud Light.” The report also admitted consumers want “Their beer without a debate”, “Bud Light to focus on beer”, and “Bud Light to concentrate on platforms that all our consumers love–e.g., NFL, Folds of Honor, Music.”
Gates – one of the world’s most infamous globalists – also bought up 3.76 percent of Heineken Holding NV in February.

An inmate at the Edna Mahan Correctional Facility for Women in New Jersey has filed a lawsuit against the NJ Department of Corrections after being sexually assaulted by a biologically male prisoner, alleging guards failed to take “corrective action” against the “sexually aggressive and harassing behavior of the transgenders” in the facility even after two other inmates were impregnated by them.
The plaintiff said she complained to the prison authorities after the assault, but ended up being disciplined herself. She also said biological males were often housed in areas not covered by surveillance cameras, providing them with more opportunities to abuse female inmates.
In a separate lawsuit, the same plaintiff alleges she was abused by a male prison guard. Similar reports of abuse have resulted in NJ Governor Phil Murphy announcing Edna Mahan will be shut down.
Attacks on natural-born women by men claiming to be women have taken place in institutions well beyond New Jersey, with British politician Rory Stewart saying that when he served as government minister responsible for prisons he received of female prison staff being raped by trans inmates, for example.
