IN FULL

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents shot Carlos Ivan Mendoza Hernandez, a member of the 18th Street Gang, during a targeted vehicle stop in Patterson, California, on Tuesday. “As officers approached the car, the wanted gang member weaponized his vehicle in an attempt to run an officer over. Following their training, our officers fired defensive shots to protect themselves, their fellow agents, and the public,” said ICE Director Todd Lyons.

Hernandez allegedly attempted to hit the ICE agents with his vehicle before he was shot. After he was shot, he was taken to a local hospital. Hernandez is wanted for questioning in El Salvador in connection with a murder.

The 18th Street Gang is one of the largest street gangs in Los Angeles. The gang has somewhere between 30,000 and 50,000 members across the United States, Mexico, and Central America. The gang is designated as a terrorist organization in the United States, El Salvador, and Guatemala. It is involved in various kinds of illegal activity, including murder, kidnapping, robbery, assault, drug trafficking, extortion, and prostitution. It is a multi-ethnic gang, although its membership draws heavily from Mexico and Central America.

The Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Office has said it will assist with the following investigation. The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) will also assist with the investigation.

Florida Weighs Ban on ‘Stealth Jihad’ Cousin Marriages.

PULSE POINTS

WHAT HAPPENED: Florida Governor Ron DeSantis proposed banning first-cousin marriages in the state, a practice currently legal but prohibited in most states.

👤WHO WAS INVOLVED: Governor Ron DeSantis (R-FL), Florida lawmakers, and supporters of HB 733.

📍WHEN & WHERE: Announcement made during a Tampa signing ceremony on Monday.

💬KEY QUOTE: “Florida doesn’t ban cousin marriage: That’s a hanging curveball for us to do; we need to do that.” – Ron DeSantis

🎯IMPACT: The proposal could reignite debate on cultural values, public health concerns, and immigration policies in Florida.

IN FULL

Florida is considering a potential ban on marriage between first cousins. “Florida doesn’t ban cousin marriage: That’s a hanging curveball for us to do; we need to do that,” said Governor Ron DeSantis (R-FL) in Tampa on Monday.

He added, “Other states have done it. I don’t know why we wouldn’t, but obviously that feeds into some of the stealth jihad that we see, when you’re allowing things like that. It’s things that are coming in from other cultures that are not consistent with the United States culture, and certainly our culture here in Florida.”

The Sunshine State already bans marriages between many close relatives, such as siblings, parents, grandparents, nieces, and nephews, but has yet to ban marriage between first cousins, though it is already prohibited in most U.S. states.

In 2025, a proposal (HB 733) to ban marriage between first cousins was dropped by the state’s legislature. If passed, the proposal would have gone into effect on July 1 this year. Supporters of a ban on marriage between first cousins cite genetic disorders and muddled, potentially abusive, family dynamics.

President Donald J. Trump’s administration has already taken a hard line against cousin marriage. Earlier this year, the White House criticized the government of the United Kingdom for evading demands to ban cousin marriage, reflecting the administration’s “civilizational concerns” about the country, as outlined in its National Security Strategy late last year.

Teen Boy Pleads ‘I Just Don’t Wanna Die’ Before Being Murdered by Illegal Immigrant.

PULSE POINTS

WHAT HAPPENED: A Missouri teen, Miles Young, was lured into a deadly ambush and fatally shot after being deceived by suspects, including an illegal immigrant, prosecutors say.

👤WHO WAS INVOLVED: Victim Miles Young, 15; suspects Yefry Archaga, 18, and Praize King, 18; and an unidentified juvenile.

📍WHEN & WHERE: The murder occurred on March 12, 2026, in Greene County, Missouri.

💬KEY QUOTE: “I just don’t wanna die.” – Miles Young, according to witnesses.

🎯IMPACT: Prosecutors have suggested that the attack may have been motivated by a previous homicide case in which Young was a witness set to testify.

IN FULL

Prosecutors have revealed that 15-year-old Miles Young pleaded for his life with illegal immigrant Yefry Archaga, 18, and his two accomplices before being fatally shot on March 12, 2026, in Greene County, Missouri. Young was lured into an ambush by the three suspects, who had convinced their victim that he was meeting up with a girl. According to witnesses, Young attempted to flee from his attackers but was chased down. He shouted, “I just don’t wanna die,” before being murdered.

Archaga and a second suspect, Praize King, 18, have both been charged with first-degree murder. Authorities believe another suspect, possibly a juvenile, remains unidentified.

According to court documents, Archaga orchestrated the ambush, making Young believe he was meeting a girl while tracking his location with others. The group reportedly used multiple vehicles to corner Young, who fled on foot before being chased and shot by Archaga.

On March 31, Archaga was arrested after a two-week manhunt and is currently being held on a U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) detainer. Prosecutors have suggested that the attack may have been motivated by a previous homicide case in which Young was a witness set to testify. Archaga is scheduled to appear in court on April 13, and the investigation remains ongoing.

Trump Admin Threatens to Shut Down International Airports in Sanctuary Cities.

PULSE POINTS

WHAT HAPPENED: The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has threatened a shutdown of international flights in cities that shield illegal immigrants under sanctuary policies.

👤WHO WAS INVOLVED: DHS Secretary Markwayne Mullin, U.S. Customs officers, and leadership in cities such as Los Angeles, Chicago, and New York.

📍WHEN & WHERE: Mullin revealed the proposal late Monday, April 6, 2026.

💬KEY QUOTE: “So, we’re going to take a hard look at this. One area we may take a hard look at is some of these cities that have international airports. If they’re a sanctuary city, should they really be processing customs into their city?” – Markwayne Mullin

🎯IMPACT: If enacted, the plan could force cities to choose between retaining international flights or maintaining their sanctuary policies.

IN FULL

The Trump administration is considering shutting down international flights in cities where local Democrats shield illegal immigrants from federal immigration enforcement actions through open-border sanctuary policies. Newly confirmed Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Markwayne Mullin revealed late Monday that the administration is considering the move in response to the ongoing partial government shutdown of DHS, which is impacting funding for the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) and customs agents, among other agencies.

“I believe sanctuary cities are not lawful,” Mullin said during a television interview. “So, we’re going to take a hard look at this. One area we may take a hard look at is some of these cities that have international airports. If they’re a sanctuary city, should they really be processing customs into their city?”

Mullin continued, “If they’re a ‘sanctuary city’ and they’re receiving international flights—and we’re asking them to partner with us at the airport, but once they walk out of the airport, they’re not going to enforce immigration policy—maybe we need to have a really hard look at that.”

The new Homeland Security Secretary stressed that his department needs to prioritize jurisdictions willing to work with federal immigration enforcement officials. “I’m not going outside the policies that Congress passed for me, but we’re saying that you’ve got to partner with us,” Mullin said.

Withholding customs officers from Democrat-controlled sanctuary cities with international airports could pose a serious economic threat to those jurisdictions—especially those heavily reliant on tourism to sustain local businesses. Among the major cities that could be impacted are Los Angeles, Minneapolis, San Francisco, Boston, Chicago, and New York.

ICE Captures Illegal Immigrant Accused of Kidnapping Child from Laundromat.

PULSE POINTS

WHAT HAPPENED: The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) rearrested an illegal immigrant accused of kidnapping a four-year-old girl from a Long Island laundromat after a local judge released him back into the community.

👤WHO WAS INVOLVED: Carlos Corte-Corte, a 38-year-old illegal immigrant from Ecuador; U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE); Suffolk County Police; Suffolk County District Judge James F. Leonick; and Suffolk County District Attorney Ray Tierney.

📍WHEN & WHERE: The kidnapping occurred on March 28 at the Laundry Kingdom in Patchogue, Long Island. Corte-Corte was rearrested by ICE on March 31.

💬KEY QUOTE: “Sanctuary politicians must stop putting politics above public safety. This type of insanity leads to more crimes and more innocent victims.” – Acting DHS Assistant Secretary Lauren Bis

🎯IMPACT: The incident highlights the consequences of sanctuary policies as well as the challenges of enforcing immigration laws against repeat offenders.

IN FULL

Carlos Corte-Corte, an illegal immigrant from Ecuador, was rearrested by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents on March 31 after being released from jail by a local judge despite facing serious criminal charges. The Ecuadoran national had been charged on March 28 with second-degree kidnapping and endangering the welfare of a child after luring a four-year-old girl from a laundromat in Patchogue, Long Island, to a nearby park where she was found by police.

Despite the charges, Suffolk County District Judge James F. Leonick released Corte-Corte on supervised release without bond. Notably, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) revealed that Corte-Corte had entered the U.S. illegally on at least three occasions in 2020 and had been removed three times, only to return for a fourth time.

Acting DHS Assistant Secretary Lauren Bis criticized the decision to release Corte-Corte, stating, “Sanctuary politicians must stop putting politics above public safety. This type of insanity leads to more crimes and more innocent victims.” She added that thanks to ICE law enforcement, Corte-Corte is now off the streets.

Suffolk County District Attorney Ray Tierney expressed disagreement with the judge’s decision to release the alleged kidnapper. “I think if you look at the facts of the case, clearly they’re concerning,” Tierney said.

Soros-Backed DA Claims Deporting Violent Illegals is ‘Perversion of Justice.’

PULSE POINTS

WHAT HAPPENED: George Soros-backed Fairfax County Commonwealth’s Attorney Steve Descano is facing renewed criticism for stating that deporting criminal illegal immigrants is a “perversion of justice” in a now-deleted section of his campaign website.

👤WHO WAS INVOLVED: Steve Descano, accused murderer Abdul Jalloh, victim Stephanie Minter, and George Soros.

📍WHEN & WHERE: The now-deleted campaign webpage resurfaced in early April 2026.

💬KEY QUOTE: “If two people commit the same crime, but only one’s punishment includes deportation, that’s a perversion of justice and not a reflection of the values of Fairfax County.” – Steve Descano.

🎯IMPACT: Descano’s policies are under scrutiny following the murder of Stephanie Minter by a repeatedly released illegal immigrant.

IN FULL

Steve Descano, the George Soros-backed Fairfax County Commonwealth’s Attorney, is facing renewed public scrutiny after it was revealed over Easter weekend that a now-deleted section of his campaign website called the deportation of criminal illegal immigrants a “perversion of justice.” The district attorney for Fairfax County, Virginia, has been the focus of repeated criticism from voters and the Trump administration for dropping charges against illegal immigrants, including Abdul Jalloh—an illegal immigrant from Sierra Leone with over 30 prior arrests—who allegedly stabbed 41-year-old Stephanie Minter to death at a bus stop in late February.

In a now-deleted Community page on Descano’s campaign website, the far-left prosecutor pledges he “will make charging and plea decisions that limit or avoid immigration consequences.” Descano, whose campaigns have reportedly received over $700,000 from organizations backed by George Soros, further states, “If two people commit the same crime, but only one’s punishment includes deportation, that’s a perversion of justice and not a reflection of the values of Fairfax County.”

Next week, Descano and Fairfax County Sheriff Stacey Ann Kincaid are due to appear before the House Judiciary Committee’s Immigration Integrity, Security, and Enforcement Subcommittee to testify on Fairfax County’s sanctuary policies amid several recent violent crimes perpetrated by illegal immigrants. In December last year, Descano’s office dropped charges of malicious wounding and brandishing a firearm against Marvin Morales-Ortez, an illegal immigrant from El Salvador, and subsequently released him from county custody. A day later, Morales-Ortez was arrested again, this time in connection with a fatal stabbing.

The National Pulse previously reported that Descano and Fairfax County officials have faced backlash for the repeated release of Abdul Jalloh, despite his violent criminal history. On February 23, Jalloh allegedly murdered Stephanie Minter at a bus stop in Fairfax County’s Hybla Valley neighborhood. Local police had repeatedly warned prosecutors in Descano’s office that the illegal posed a dangerous threat to the broader community.

Trump Will Start Sending Deportees to This African Nation Later This Month.

PULSE POINTS

WHAT HAPPENED: The Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) has agreed to accept illegal immigrants from third countries who have been deported from the United States under a temporary agreement.

👤WHO WAS INVOLVED: The Congolese Ministry of Communications, the Trump administration, and illegal immigrant deportees.

📍WHEN & WHERE: The agreement was announced on Sunday, April 5, 2026, with deportees expected to arrive in the Democratic Republic of the Congo later this month.

💬KEY QUOTE: “This stay is not intended to become a mechanism for permanent settlement on national territory. Each situation will be subject to individual review in accordance with the laws of the Republic and national security requirements,” stated the Congolese Ministry of Communications.

🎯IMPACT: Since the start of his second term in January 2025, President Donald J. Trump has struck third-country deportation agreements with at least seven African nations. The deals are intended to discourage illegals from attempting to disrupt direct deportation to their home countries by ensuring they are still sent out of the United States.

IN FULL

The Trump administration will begin sending illegal immigrant third-country deportees to the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) under a new agreement announced on Sunday. According to DRC officials, the Central African nation expects the first round of deportees to arrive later this month under what they say is a temporary arrangement with the United States.

“This stay is not intended to become a mechanism for permanent settlement on national territory. Each situation will be subject to individual review in accordance with the laws of the Republic and national security requirements,” the Congolese Ministry of Communications said in a statement, adding that the agreement is “temporary” and is due in part to the DRC’s “commitment to human dignity and international solidarity.”

While the U.S. is reportedly covering the costs of the deportation program, the Congolese government has provided few additional details, including the number of deportees expected.

Since the start of his second term in January 2025, President Donald J. Trump has struck third-country deportation agreements with at least seven African nations. The deals are intended to discourage illegals from attempting to disrupt direct deportations to their homelands by ensuring they are still removed from the United States.

The United States often conditions additional humanitarian aid or other economic assistance packages on the agreements’ acceptance. In the case of the DRC, the country may see the agreement as potential leverage to secure U.S. support in its dealings with Rwanda over a peace deal brokered by the Trump administration. Additionally, it is believed the deal includes significant American investments in Congo’s mining sector.

75% of Murder Defendants in This County Are Illegal Immigrants.

PULSE POINTS

WHAT HAPPENED: New data from the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) shows that 75 percent of defendants in Fairfax County, Virginia, murder trials this year are illegal immigrants.

👤WHO WAS INVOLVED: Illegal immigrants Misael Lopez Gomez, Abdul Jalloh, and Anibal Armando Chavarria Muy, Governor of Virginia Abigail Spanberger (D), and DHS.

📍WHEN & WHERE: Fairfax County, Virginia, in 2026.

💬KEY QUOTE: “Governor Spanberger must end her sanctuary policies that allow these illegal aliens onto our streets and work with DHS to protect the citizens of the commonwealth.” – DHS

🎯IMPACT: The data shows a damning relationship between illegal immigration, sanctuary policies, and public safety.

IN FULL

Data from the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) released on Friday shows that three in four defendants currently facing murder trials in Fairfax County, Virginia, are illegal immigrants. “Governor Spanberger must end her sanctuary policies that allow these illegal aliens onto our streets and work with DHS to protect the citizens of the commonwealth,” DHS warned on X (formerly Twitter).

One notable case involves Misael Lopez Gomez, who illegally entered the U.S. through the southern border at Albuquerque, New Mexico, under the Biden government. He has been charged with second-degree murder and felony child abuse after allegedly killing a three-month-old baby girl. An autopsy indicated blunt force trauma as the cause of death.

In another significant case, Abdul Jalloh, a migrant from Sierra Leone with over 30 prior arrests on charges that include rape, assault, and theft, was charged with second-degree murder after a woman was stabbed to death at a bus stop in Hybla Valley.

Anibal Armando Chavarria Muy, an illegal immigrant from Guatemala, was also charged with second-degree murder in Fairfax County, in an attack that saw the victim found dead at his home with multiple stab wounds across his upper body.

Top ‘Conservative’ Says Muslims Should Be Able to Pray at Historic Landmarks.

PULSE POINTS

WHAT HAPPENED: Lord Daniel Hannan of Britain’s Conservative Party defended mass Muslim prayer in London’s iconic Trafalgar Square, calling it “inclusive.”

👤WHO WAS INVOLVED: Lord Hannan, the Conservative (Tory) Party, and Muslims in Britain.

💬KEY QUOTE: “Some people maintain that Islam is uniquely incompatible with Western values… There are nearly 4 million Muslims in the United Kingdom. If you insist on seeing them all as dangerous, then, in the absence of mass conversions, you are led by your own logic to demand ethnic cleansing.” – Lord Hannan

🎯IMPACT: Hannan’s party presided over unprecedented mass migration during its time in office from 2010 to 2024, much of it from the Islamic world. His defense of Muslims asserting their religion in public spaces is sparking debate about the impact on British culture and society of passively accepting Islamization.

IN FULL

Daniel Hannan, a member of the House of Lords for Britain’s Conservative (Tory) Party, has penned a bizarre defense of mass Muslim prayer in public spaces, such as London‘s iconic Trafalgar Square, describing it as “inclusive.”

Lord Hannan waded into a public debate on Islamization ignited by Member of Parliament (MP) Nick Timothy, who had previously written that “mass ritual prayer in public places is an act of domination,” and that the Islamic call to prayer “which declares there is no god but allah and Muhammad is his messenger… is, when called in a public place, a declaration of domination.”

Contrasting Christianity’s official status in Britain with America’s official secularism, Hannan praises America’s religious “level playing field.” He argues that “Choosing to celebrate important events in Trafalgar Square is a British tradition,” including Islamic rituals and suggests that opposition to mass Muslim prayer equates to supporting purges, claiming: “There are nearly 4 million Muslims in the United Kingdom. If you insist on seeing them all as dangerous, then, in the absence of mass conversions, you are led by your own logic to demand ethnic cleansing.”

Hannan goes on to defend declarations of Allah’s superiority and sex-segregation at these prayers, and asserts that many Muslims “detest extremism.” He claims that those opposing mass Muslim prayer in public assists extremists, arguing, “They… vindicate the central claim that jihadi recruiters make to young Western Muslims: ‘Whatever you do, your neighbors will never accept you.'”

Hannan concludes by criticizing British Christians who oppose Islamization as “consciously mimicking American conservatives,” suggesting they wear their faith as a “tribal badge.”

Notably, Islamists account for around 39,000 out of 43,000 people on the Security Service (MI5) watch list, and around three-quarters of the agency’s counter-terrorism workload. Since 9/11 in the U.S., radical Islamic terrorists have killed over 100 people in Britain, compared to fewer than ten killed by far-right terrorists.

ICE Detains Islamic Society President Over Alleged Terror Links.

PULSE POINTS

WHAT HAPPENED: U.S. federal immigration agents arrested Salah Sarsour, a Palestinian immigrant suspected of funding terror groups.

👤WHO WAS INVOLVED: Salah Sarsour, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), and Sarsour’s attorneys.

📍WHEN & WHERE: April 2026, Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

💬KEY QUOTE: The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) says Sarsour was previously “convicted for throwing Molotov cocktails at the homes of Israeli armed forces.”

🎯IMPACT: Sarsour’s arrest has sparked allegations that the U.S. is “doing the bidding” of Israel by silencing pro-Palestinian voices, but U.S. officials say he lied on his immigration forms and has links to fundraising for terror groups.

IN FULL

Salah Sarsour, president of the Islamic Society of Milwaukee and Wisconsin’s largest mosque, has been detained by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). U.S. officials say he is suspected of funding terrorist organizations.

Sarsour has lived in the United States as a legal permanent resident for more than 30 years. His supporters are demanding his release, arguing that he has been singled out because of his criticism of Israel. One of his attorneys, Munjed Ahmad, said, “Our government should not be doing the bidding of a foreign government,” adding that the arrest is intended to suppress pro-Palestinian voices.

The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) says Sarsour was previously “convicted for throwing Molotov cocktails at the homes of Israeli armed forces,” although his attorneys claim a conviction related to this incident was known to U.S. authorities when he arrived in 1993.

DHS insists that Sarsour “lied on his immigration application,” adding: “This terrorist will remain in ICE custody pending removal proceedings.”
