The number of Chinese migrants apprehended at the U.S.-Mexico border has increased significantly over the past two years, prompting concern from some lawmakers over national security and border policy. Data from U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) indicates that encounters with Chinese migrants at the southwest border surged from less than 24,000 in 2023 to approximately 36,500 in 2024. This trend has drawn attention from the House Homeland Security Committee, led by Republicans, who attribute the rise to the Biden-Harris government’s weak border policies.
Tennessee Republican Mark Green, chairman of the committee, argues the “unprecedented number of Chinese nationals now illegally crossing our border is driven by the Biden and Harris policy of mass catch-and-release.”
“One chief patrol agent told my committee last year that, in his experience, the vast majority of Chinese nationals are coming for ‘work or a better life,’ which is not a valid ground for claiming asylum,” he said. “Yet, the majority are still being released into the interior anyway.”
Border crossings from various nationalities have risen, but those from China stand out, as China is an adversary state that could be using migration flows to undermine the U.S. or even embed spies within the country.

An Afghan charged with plotting an Election Day terror attack after being imported to the U.S. following the Biden-Harris government’s botched withdrawal from Afghanistan previously worked for the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA). Nasir Ahmad Tawhedi, 27, worked in a security role for the CIA in his native country. According to the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Tawhedi passed a “multilayered screening and vetting” process, including checks against intelligence, law enforcement, and counterterrorism databases, before being paroled into the U.S.
Biden-Harris officials claim Tawhedi became radicalized just weeks after his arrival on September 9, 2021. However, they are incentivized to claim his radicalization occurred after he entered the U.S., or they would be implicated in failing to detect his terroristic intentions before importing him.
Tawhedi entered the country under “humanitarian parole” after the Biden-Harris government fast-tracked the entry of tens of thousands of Afghanmigrants. DHS initially claimed he arrived on a Special Immigrant Visa (SIV), but the State Department pushed back, saying that Tawhedi came in under humanitarian parole and applied for an SIV on arrival.
Tawhedi, based in Oklahoma, allegedly planned to target large gatherings on Election Day and was prepared to die as a “martyr” along with his juvenile brother-in-law, who was brought to the U.S. through another immigration program.
Biden-Harris Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas has remained silent on the case, avoiding questions about failures in the vetting process for Afghans. Regardless, the incident raises serious concerns about how many other potential threats may be inside the U.S. due to the Democrats’ lax immigration policies.
Hundreds of would-be illegal immigrants apprehended at America’s borders have been discovered to have terrorism links. Surprisingly, more of these migrants are caught attempting to cross the northern border than the southern border.

Omar bin Laden, son of the late al-Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden, has been permanently banned from entering France, according to a recent announcement by Interior Minister Bruno Retailleau. Omar, aged 43, had been residing in Normandy, indulging in landscape painting, until his residency was revoked in October 2023. The revocation followed controversial social media posts that coincided with the anniversary of his father’s death, with French authorities accusing him of glorifying terrorism.
Retailleau declared via X (formerly Twitter) that Omar bin Laden “won’t return to France for any reason whatsoever” due to comments on social media promoting terrorism. The prefecture of Orne issued a directive for his expulsion, a decision upheld by French courts on national security grounds. Omar, married to British national Zaina Mohamad Al-Sabah since 2006, has been living in Domfront-en-Poiraie since 2018.
Omar’s agent, Pascal Martin, expressed concern over Omar’s psychological health and criticized the ban as “inconceivable.” He highlighted Omar’s struggles as the son of the infamous terrorist, noting his disavowal of Osama bin Laden’s actions. Despite this denouncement, Omar has described his father as having a “kind heart.”
French Interior Minister Retailleau’s decision aligns with his commitment to tighten immigration controls and counter political Islam. Retailleau has stated that French laws may be altered to ensure public safety.
Omar, who spent his early years in Saudi Arabia and Afghanistan, is reportedly the only one among Osama bin Laden’s 24 children to denounce him publicly. Omar’s application to reside in the United Kingdom was denied in 2008. He initially gained media attention in the 2000s, expressing aspirations to meet the Pope.

A country is considering legislation to ban marriages between first cousins and other close relatives by 2026, linking cousin marriages to migrant “honor culture” and oppression. Sweden, which saw a massive influx of predominantly Muslim migrants during the 2015-2016 migrant crisis, already bans marriages between close family members such as siblings, but marriage between cousins remains legal.
The populist Sweden Democrats, who participate in the current Swedish government, have called for cousin marriage to be banned as part of the government’s coalition deal, known as the Tido Agreement. Under the new proposal, marriage between cousins and uncles or aunts and their nephews or nieces would be banned. Marriage between half-siblings, who are currently allowed to marry if granted an exemption, would also be prohibited.
The center-right government has argued that banning cousin marriages will counter honor culture oppression, a significant issue for many young people in Sweden from migrant backgrounds. A 2017 report claimed that as many as 240,000 young people in Sweden live under honor culture, while nearly 1,000 honor-related crimes were reported in 2020.
Cousin marriages are also strongly associated with birth defects and lower IQ, creating significant long-term strains on the Swedish welfare system, in addition to being a major vector for chain migration.
Mass migration has had a massive effect on crime in Sweden, particularly violent crime. In 2023, the country saw 195 shootings and 72 bombings, resulting in 30 deaths, with migration-background gangs responsible for most of the violence.
Under the current center-right government, supported by the populist Sweden Democrats, some have claimed that migration has reduced so much that more people are now leaving Sweden than coming in. Still, some have expressed skepticism over these claims, noting the statistics may be more related to changes in the tax registry.

An Afghan migrant residing in Oklahoma City, identified as Nasir Ahmad Tawhedi, has been charged with conspiring to execute a terrorist attack in the United States, allegedly on behalf of ISIS. The Justice Department disclosed a criminal complaint against Tawhedi this week, outlining how he planned an attack on Election Day, November 5, 2024.
The arrest affidavit includes details of Tawhedi’s alleged actions, such as purchasing AK-47-style weapons. The Justice Department’s affidavit also highlights Tawhedi’s communications, which suggest his intent to become a martyr for the Islamic State.
Tawhedi entered the United States through the “Special Immigrant Visa” (SIV) program after U.S. exit from Afghanistan. Since 2008, nearly 120,000 SIVs have been awarded to Afghans, though the Biden-Harris government extended thousands of more invitations following their botched withdrawal and Taliban-backed threats to the lives of those who helped Americans in the occupation.
According to reports, Tawhedi’s brother-in-law, referred to as CC 1, was also admitted to the U.S. in 2018.
In May 2024, the Department of Homeland Security’s Office of Inspector General noted shortcomings in the vetting procedures under Operation Allies Welcome.
According to Voice of America, “about 26,500 SIVs were granted to Afghans” in 2023, which was “more than double the previous year’s total of 11,000 and a record since the program’s inception in 2008.”

An Ohio court dismissed a criminal complaint filed by a Haitian advocacy group against President Donald J. Trump and his running mate, Senator J.D. Vance (R-OH), over remarks they made about Haitian migrants in Springfield. The Haitian Bridge Alliance pressed criminal charges against the Republican presidential ticket in September, alleging the candidates incited threats against the Ohio town’s Haitian community.
The municipal court panel in Clark County found no probable cause to issue warrants or summonses on misdemeanor charges. “The presidential election is less than 35 days away. The issue of immigration is contentious. Due to the proximity of the election, and the contentiousness concerning the immigration policies of both candidates, the Court cannot automatically presume the good faith nature of the affidavits,” the court stated.
Guerline Jozef, who leads the Haitian Bridge Alliance and filed the charges, has extensive links to the Biden-Harris government. The National Pulse previously reported that White House visitor records show she visited four times in 2023 and twice this year, meeting with President Biden personally at least twice.
Jozef also posed photographs with notorious Islamist and anti-Semite Linda Sarsour just weeks after the October 7 attacks. Subodh Chandra, Jozef’s attorney, appeared in photographs with Kamala Harris, including his X profile picture.
Both Trump and Vance spoke out about reports of Haitian migrants poaching local wildlife and pets in Springfield.
While media and others claimed it was not happening, later reports revealed that police had received calls regarding the poaching of local geese. The local city manager also admitted to hearing reports of “horrid things” happening to local animals.

European Union (EU) leaders claim they wish to reform the bloc’s migration policies and speed up deportations, as major members call on the European Commission to enact new guidelines later this month. France and Germany, the largest countries in the bloc by population, have joined others in calling on the Commission, the EU’s unelected executive, to produce new guidelines by October 17 “for determined action at all levels to increase and speed up returns from the European Union.”
EU leaders are set to meet in Brussels, Belgium, next week and are pushing for a change in migration policy as anti-mass migration parties surge in polls and win elections across the EU. The most recent—and one of the most notable—was the election victory of the populist Freedom Party of Austria (FPOe), which not only advocates for “Fortress Austria” border controls but also for a policy of “remigration.”
A number of populists have proposed remigration, which could involve deporting illegals or even legal migrants who refuse to integrate into society. For the Sweden Democrats, who now have a role in the Swedish government, remigration could involve stripping criminal migrants of Swedish citizenship.
Some countries in Europe have tried to strengthen immigration measures on their own, with Germany enacting 6-month-long land border controls after several fatal mass stabbings involving Islamist-inspired migrants, despite being members of the EU’s open borders Schengen agreement.
Following the European Parliament elections this year, more populists and conservatives now occupy the European Parliament, and stricter immigration controls stand a stronger chance of passing than in the past.

Dozens of Somali immigrants are involved in the largest COVID-19fraud case in the United States, which saw the fraudsters net over $250 million in Governor Tim Walz’s Minnesota. A total of 47 Somali immigrants in Minneapolis, Minnesota, stand accused of embezzling $250 million in federal aid in the North Star State, run by Democratic presidential nominee Kamala Harris’s running mate. He has previously praised the Somali community in Minnesota, arguing they contribute to the state culturally and demographically.
The Feeding Our Future organization misappropriated funds intended for children and families affected by the pandemic, diverting them towards personal luxuries, real estate, and other non-essential purchases. State auditors released 16 separate reports highlighting a pattern of fraud under Governor Walz’s administration. Criticism has emerged over the Minnesota Department of Education’s oversight failures, with audits indicating officials ignored warning signs and vulnerabilities facilitating the fraud.
Governor Walz claimed that the fraud had been detected early and credited his administration for initiating corrective measures and prosecutions. However, Republican House Minority Leader Lisa Demuth questioned why no one from Walz’s team had faced any consequences despite numerous negative audit findings.
“When he is not holding any commissioners responsible, then yes, Gov. Walz is responsible for the fraud that has been ongoing in the state of Minnesota,” she argues.
A state audit pointed to a “culture of unaccountability” within agencies led by Walz’s appointees. Additionally, a judge recently admonished Walz for making misleading statements regarding the state’s handling of the scandal, potentially inflaming the ongoing legal proceedings related to Feeding Our Future.
The Governor and his officials have also been accused of “cooking the books” regarding teachers’ pensions, and hiding the extent of fees paid to Wall Street fund managers.

Four individuals alleged to be members of the Venezuelan street gang Tren de Aragua have been arrested following a robbery and a lengthy standoff with law enforcement in Texas. The incident unfolded on September 21 when the gang reportedly assaulted a woman in her garage in Northwest Dallas, making off with $75,000 in jewelry after forcing her into her home.
The suspects, identified as Yean Brayhan Torralba, 20; Alberto Martinez Silva, 34; Manuel Hernandez-Hernandez, 28; and Wilmer Colmenares Gonzalez, 27, were apprehended after police utilized surveillance footage and fingerprint evidence from the crime scene. While three were quickly detained, Gonzalez managed to barricade himself in a residence, leading to an eight-hour standoff with the police before his eventual capture.
During the robbery, the assailants allegedly tied the victim and threatened extreme violence if she did not cooperate, according to police records.
The Tren de Aragua gang is believed to have crossed into the United States at scale among migrants seeking asylum since 2022, mostly at the behest of the Biden-Harris government.
Authorities indicate that the gang has extended its activities to multiple regions and engages in serious illegal enterprises such as human trafficking. Members of the gang have infiltrated shelters for migrants in New York City, using them as bases for drugs and weapons trafficking and robbery operations.

Analysis has revealed the highest imprisonment rate amongst all migrant backgrounds in Britain is among Albanians, reaching 232.33 per 10,000, or approximately two percent of their population in the UK. The incarceration rate among British nationals is a comparatively low 14.27 per 100,000, while the incarceration rate among Americans in Britain is just 7.27 per 100,000.
The lowest offenders include Germans, Italians, Indians, Greeks, and Americans.
The analysis, based on Ministry of Justice (MOJ) figures checked against official census data, likely underestimates the Albanian population due to uncounted illegal migrants, including more than 12,000 who crossed to Britain in small boats in 2022. Following Albanians, Kosovans—most of whom are ethnically Albanian—have the second-highest incarceration rate, at 150.23 per 10,000.
Vietnamese, Algerians, Jamaicans, Eritreans, Iraqis, and Somalis are also high on the list, with all of these nationalities having over one percent of their resident populations in prison.
Afghans and Syrians–allowed into Britain in substantial numbers following the Taliban takeover of Afghanistan and years of war in Syria–are also significantly more likely to be imprisoned than British nationals, with incarceration rates of 67.85 per 100,000 and 32.82 per 100,000, respectively. However, Ukrainians have a lower imprisonment rate than Britons, with 12.75 per 100,000 people imprisoned. The Russian incarceration rate is similar, at 12.26 per 100,000.
COVER-UP.
Commenting on the analysis, Conservative lawmaker Neil O’Brien observed: “[T]he migrationdebate is hampered by a lack of data which the Government could easily publish but chooses not to.”
For instance, “The Home Office”—roughly equivalent to the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS)—”knows the immigration status of prisoners and whether they were here legally or illegally, but it does not publish this. It knows about the offending history of overseas nationals in our prisons and whether they are committing multiple offenses, but it does not publish this.”
O’Brien argues it is “shameful that the Government refuses to publish so much of the information which it holds about this subject. It should be available to the public so we can have an informed debate.”
