Biden’s DOJ Silences Immigration Judges Amid Criticism Over Meddling In 3 Million-Case Backlog.

The Department of Justice has imposed a policy requiring immigration judges to seek department approval before speaking with the media or the general public. An organization representing the interests of immigration judges says the move effectively prevents them from voicing their opinions publicly amidst a surge of 3 million unresolved cases.

According to the orders given by Chief Immigration Judge Sheila McNulty, the judges, who are part of the National Association of Immigration Judges (NAIJ), must first receive authorization from the DOJ before expressing their views. The gag-order-like policy for immigration judges does not appear to have any precedent under prior presidential administrations.

The instruction comes at a point when immigration services are being inundated by an invasion of illegal immigrants at the US southern border. Before the new policy, the NAIJ — represented under the umbrella of the International Federation of Professional and Technical Engineers union — had been publicly raising the alarm regarding the overwhelmed immigration system. Federation president Matt Biggs criticized the DOJ order for curtailing the free speech of his union membership.

With the border crisis unabetted by the Biden government, the immigration case backlog continues to worsen. Each of the 682 immigration judges in December had a caseload of around 4,500. The Transactional Records Access Clearinghouse at Syracuse University stated that judges can conclude approximately 750 cases annually.

In a public statement, Judge Mimi Tsankov, who presides over the NAIJ, attributed a share of the blame for the increasing backlog to the Department of Justice’s ineffective leadership and intrusive intervention in the immigration court system. The case backlog has soared from just over half a million in September 2016 to 3 million in November 2023 — with the number of cases continuing to grow.

Chicago Measles Outbreak Intensifies, Additional Cases Reported in Migrant Shelter.

The Chicago Department of Public Health has reported three more measles cases at a migrant shelter, raising the city’s total to five this year. All three patients reside at the shelter, including two adults in stable condition and a younger child now in good condition. In response to the outbreak, local authorities advised school-age residents at the shelter to stay home while their vaccination status is confirmed.

Vaccination teams were placed at the migrant shelter, and over 900 residents were vaccinated over the weekend. Those with potential exposure to the virus who have only recently been vaccinated or haven’t been vaccinated have been instructed to quarantine. Despite these measures, some residents left the shelter.

Chicago’s first measles diagnosis of the year, announced last Thursday, doesn’t appear to be connected to the other cases. Responding to the rising measles incidents, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention is sending an expert team to support disease control efforts in Chicago.

The US has recorded 45 cases so far this year, and US cases are projected to surpass 2023’s total. The recent uptick in global measles cases has been partially attributed to lower vaccine coverage. However, measles outbreaks in the US may be connected directly to the ongoing border crisis.

In August 2023, doctors warned that migrants crossing the US-Mexico border illegally were bringing with them measles, among other diseases. In January, authorities warned of potential measles exposure at Dulles and Reagan airports, and in February, Ohio health officials warned of possible measles exposure at Cincinnati airport.

ICE Captures Multiple Violent Illegal Alien Criminals Including One Arrested 12 Times in 8 Years.

ICE apprehended several illegal migrants with violent criminal backgrounds on Monday. Among them was Syed Mohamed Tousif Mohiuddin, an Indian national who overstayed his US visa after entering the country in 2010 and was arrested 12 times in California between 2013 and 2021. Mohiuddin’s charges include assault with a deadly weapon, battery with serious bodily injury, stalking, robbery, and intent to terrorize.

“This arrest demonstrates how seriously we take our commitment to safeguarding our communities from individuals like Mohiuddin,” said Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO) San Francisco Field Office Director Moises Becerra. “Our officers will continue to work night and day to ensure protection and safety from those who intend to do harm.”

ERO Boston reported additional migrant apprehensions. These included a Honduran suspect wanted for murder in his home country and a Colombian national guilty of sex offenses. Both captured suspects had managed to evade detection and illegally enter the US.

A court previously released the Honduran despite an active immigration detainer. “This case only highlights the importance of why ERO Boston seeks to cooperate with local communities to protect public safety in our region,” said ERO Boston Field Office Director Todd M. Lyons.

Border Patrol had previously arrested the Colombian offender in Arizona before Massachusetts police detained him two months later for indecent assault. The court sentenced him to a year of probation after his guilty plea in December 2022. “This Colombian sex offender not only broke our immigration laws; he victimized a Massachusetts resident,” said Lyons. “We cannot allow such threats to roam the streets of our New England communities. ERO Boston will continue to prioritize public safety by arresting and removing such threats from our neighborhoods.”

The cases highlight the dangers of ‘sanctuary’ jurisdictions, which actively ignore immigration detainers and routinely release dangerous criminals.

FBI Director Wray Tells Senators Of Increasing Threats At Southern Border, Including Criminals With Ties To ISIS.

On Monday, FBI Director Christopher Wray testified to a Senate Intelligence Committee about the multitude of threats coming from the US Border. Wray told the Senate committee that the border crisis opened the US not only to criminal gangs, drug traffickers, and violent offenders — but also to terrorist threats from groups like ISIS as well.

“So, I want to be a little bit careful how far I can go in open session, but there is a particular network that, where some of the overseas facilitators of the smuggling network have ISIS ties that we’re very concerned about and that we’ve been spending enormous amount of effort with our partners investigating [sic]. Exactly what that network is up to is something that’s, again, the subject of our current investigation,” Wray said.

In addition to the ISIS threat, Wray also highlighted the scourge of drug trafficking at the border.

“From an FBI perspective, we are seeing a wide array of very dangerous threats that emanate from the border. And that includes everything from drug trafficking — the FBI alone seized enough fentanyl in the last two years to kill 270 million people — that’s just on the fentanyl side,” Wray told the committee members.

Senator Marco Rubio (R-FL) spent part of the hearing pressing for more details about the Venezuelan gang Tren de Aragua. The Florida Republican emphasized concerning reports indicating signs of the gang’s expansion into the U.S. Rubio also noted that the brother of the illegal Venezuelan immigrant charged with the murder of Laken Riley is suspected of being a member of the violent gang. Wray responded, saying he could not speak to specific gangs or their numbers, but acknowledged that violent and dangerous criminals were entering the US through the southern border.

Biden Backs Down From Taking Executive Action To Secure US Southern Border.

President Joe Biden backed down on Monday from comments he made earlier this year suggesting he would take executive action to secure the US southern border. The Democrat President said he was looking to Congress for a legislative fix for the border crisis, telling the press aboard Air Force One that he would not take actions similar to those enacted by former President Donald Trump.

“I’m counting on the border action happening by itself, them passing it,” the President said. When confronted about the Senate’s inability to reach a bipartisan agreement on the border, Biden replied, “Well, they haven’t yet, they haven’t yet. I’m helping them.”

In response to plummeting approval polls, sources inside the Biden government suggested in late February that the President was considering the use of presidential 212f authority to limit the number of asylum seekers who could be released into the US. Biden, however, faced almost immediate pushback from progressives and open border advocates within the Democrat Party.

A coalition of over 150 progressive political groups sent a scathing letter to the Biden White House, opposing executive action to restrict the flow of illegal immigrants across the southern border. The coalition accused Biden of emulating former President Trump, adding that any action by the Democrat President would “tarnish [his] administration irreparably.”

Almost immediately after his inauguration as President, Biden swiftly moved to reverse many of former President Trump’s executive orders relating to immigration policy and border security. The move by Biden sparked a rush of illegal immigrants towards the US southern border — in large part fueling a crisis that has arguably become the central issue in the 2024 presidential election.

MSNBC’s Joy Reid Attacks Laken Riley Act, Claims Migrant Crime ‘Negligible.’

MSNBC presenter Joy Reid accused conservatives of “demagoguing” over the murder of 22-year-old Georgia nursing student Laken Riley, allegedly by Venezuelan illegal alien Jose Antonio Ibarra.

“They’ve been truly demagoguing an issue of a Georgia young woman who was killed, a Georgia young nursing student named Laken Riley. They’ve now passed a law called the Laken Riley Act. All Republican members and 37 Democrats voted in the House to support the bill,” Reid complained.

“The legislation requires the detention of any migrant who has been accused of burglary or theft. My understanding is that burglary and theft are already illegal. What does this law add to the current existing law?” she asked.

The MSNBC host apparently did not understand that many illegal aliens arrested for crimes end up being released.  Ibarra, in particular, was arrested for shoplifting prior to his alleged murder of Laken Riley, but was left at large among the public and skipped court.

Reid concluded by claiming “migrant crime is negligible.” However, in just one short operation lasting from January 16th to January 28th, ICE arrested 171 illegal aliens previously convicted or charged with crimes, up to and including first-degree murder and child rape.

CA Lawmakers Consider Bill to Grant Legal Services To Violent Illegal Felons.

State lawmakers in California are considering legislation that would extend taxpayer-paid legal aid to illegal aliens convicted of violent or serious felonies. The legislation — sponsored by Assemblyman Reggie Jones-Sawyer (D) — would remove restrictions on grant funds that currently deny this category of immigrants from receiving immigration-related legal services.

“For as long as I have been in state office, I have worked towards ensuring people are given a second chance and have championed efforts to prevent people from being treated as second-class individuals,” Jones-Sawyer said in a statement. He added: “The REP for All Immigrants Act ensures racial justice and truly equitable access to crucial immigration services for all – not some.”

The fund is drawn from the One California program, which annually provides $45 million in grants to nonprofits offering free immigration legal services. Currently, these funds may not be used to assist those convicted of particular crimes, a restriction the proposed bill would end.

Jones-Sawyer argues that the act would help to achieve racial justice and equal access to vital immigration services. He says he received significant support from numerous immigrant activist groups. However, the move has met with considerable opposition from Republicans, including Assemblywoman Kate Sanchez (R), who questioned why the state should prioritize providing legal assistance to immigrant offenders over other needs.

Critics argue the legislation is part of escalating attempts by Democrats to decriminalize illegal border crossings and that its passage would represent another significant shift in California’s increasingly progressive approach toward illegal immigration. They also contend that the assembly bill highlights a misguided prioritization of funds, suggesting that the state’s financial focus should instead be on benefitting lawful residents and citizens.

Biden-Backed NGO Supplies Corporates With Cheap Illegal Migrant Labor.

US corporations are taking advantage of a federal loophole that allows illegal immigrants to acquire jobs when they claim refugee status. The loophole is being used by the non-governmental organization Tent Partnership for Refugees, which is aligned with more than 400 multinational corporations committed to hiring refugees. These corporations range from RedRoof Inn, Royal Farms, and Shopify to Delta Airlines, DoorDash, Etsy, and Bloomberg.

Tent Partnership for Refugees has tremendous influence within the Biden government. In December of 2022, Secretary of State Antony Blinken signed a memorandum with the non-governmental organization aimed at broadening economic opportunities for refugees within the private sector. The move, critics argue, further intertwined the interests of US corporations and progressive open-border advocates.

The State Department policy decision is primarily used to facilitate sourcing cheap immigrant labor for large corporations. Recently, Tyson Foods, Inc. announced it is planning to hire tens of thousands of migrants via Tent Partnership, augmenting its existing 42,000 migrant workforce out of a total of 120,000 in the US.

Garrett Dolan, who spearheads Tyson’s initiative to dismantle employment obstacles such as immigration status, revealed that many new recruits are projected to be refugees and immigrants. “We’re recognizing there’s not a lot of people that are going to be working labor-manufacturing jobs that are American,” Dolan said in a statement announcing the hiring move.

The National Pulse has previously reported that most US job gains under President Joe Biden have been fueled by immigrant labor. At the same time, native-born employment numbers continue to lag behind pre-pandemic levels.

UK Govt Blows $128 MILLION on Security for Muslims.

UK Home Secretary James Cleverly is allocating £100 million (~$128 million) to security at Muslim community centers, schools, and mosques at a time when Islamists are intimidating British Jews, politicians, and Israel supporters over the war in Gaza.

The move has been framed as a response to a supposed increase in “hate crimes” targeting Muslims since Hamas attacked Israel on October 7, 2023. However, it is pro-Palestinian demonstrators who have been regularly involved in large-scale, disorderly protests in London since the conflict began, some involving open calls for jihad.

“We will not let events in the Middle East be used as an excuse to justify abuse against British Muslims,” Cleverly said, claiming the funding would provide “reassurance and confidence to UK Muslims at a time when it is crucially needed.”

A significantly smaller sum of £70 million (~$90 million) has been allocated towards increasing security for the Jewish community. The Community Security Trust (CST) advocacy group says anti-Semitic incidents surged to 4,103 last year, over double the figure for 2022. In January, a group of Jews were attacked by a large mob “swearing in Arabic.” No such assaults against Muslims in the UK have been documented.

Prime Minister Rishi Sunak and his Conservative Party have been seeking to curry favor with Muslims since now-former Deputy Chairman Lee Anderson said London Mayor Sadiq Khan had handed control of the capital to his Islamist “mates,” resulting in his suspension from the party.

Anderson, a Member of Parliament (MP), has joined the Reform Party founded by Nigel Farage.

ENEMY OF THE PEOPLE: CNN Refused to Play Commercial About Laken Riley.

CNN refused to air an advertisement detailing the brutal murder of Laken Riley, a 22-year-old nursing student from Georgia, during Joe Biden’s State of the Union address last week. The move, which amounts to yet another narrative assist for the Joe Biden campaign, came after a group attempted to buy the airtime to reach CNN’s otherwise mass migration-oblivious audience.

“It is shameful that CNN is censoring the truth and trying to protect President Biden by refusing to air this ad,” the group said.

A CNN spokesperson claimed the ad did not conform to their “commercial clearance guidelines and policies.”

The controversial commercial features footage from Biden’s 2019 debates and criticizes the 46th President for failing to deport criminal illegal migrants. Jose Antonio Ibarra, an illegal immigrant from Venezuela, was allowed to remain in the United States and eventually murder Riley under Biden’s watch.

Ibarra was previously arrested in New York City for endangering a child but was released due to sanctuary city policies.

Despite rejection by CNN, the advertisement was broadcast nationwide, particularly in swing states, during the State of the Union address on Fox News, MSNBC, and Newsmax. Former President Donald Trump has also blamed Biden’s policies for Riley’s murder.
