Italy’s ‘Nationalist’ PM Wants to Give MORE Border Control to EU.

The alleged ‘nationalist’ Italian Prime Minister Georgia Meloni has announced she intends to surrender more national sovereignty to the European Union by allowing the bloc to assume control of Europe’s southern borders.

Meloni told the Italian parliament on Wednesday morning, “Italy will support … the creation of a European naval mission, in agreement and cooperation with the North African authorities.”

She also wants the EU to allocate increased funds to combat the recent influx of illegal migrants surging through Italy’s borders in its multi-year budget for 2021 to 2027.

The last naval mission, called “Operation Sophia,” was launched at the height of the 2015 Migration Crisis to tackle illegal migration smuggling channels being exploited in North Africa. However, the programme ended in March 2020 due to insufficient resources.

Despite being elected on a populist, anti-immigration manifesto, Meloni has allowed over 120,000 illegal immigrants to cross into Italy in 2023 alone. Former President of the European Parliament Martin Schulz even admitted that the bloc managed to discipline populists like Meloni into accepting the bloc’s globalist policies.

France Will Defy European Court of Human Rights to Deport Foreigners.

The French government is preparing legislation empowering it to deport “radicalized foreigners” more easily, even if it means breaking the European Convention on Human Rights (ECHR).

Enforced by the European Court of Human Rights – technically not a European Union institution, although prospective EU members are all required to submit to it – the ECHR makes it difficult to deport even the most dangerous criminals if they have local relatives or might face the death penalty or other strict punishments in their home countries.

France’s Interior Minister Gérald Darmanin is now asking why France should keep such foreigners “when they can also cause death in our country,” however, emphasizing that his main function is protecting the French population.

“I think the French people… find that it makes sense that someone given a ten-year jail sentence for terrorist activities can be expelled because they are very dangerous,” he explained.

Unlike Britain’s governing Conservative (Tory) Party, which has long suggested it might break with the European Court of Human Rights but never followed through, the Frenchman indicated he will follow a more simple approach and simply deport foreign criminals without waiting for the court to rule.

“We used to wait until we had the opinion [of the European Court of Human Rights] even if that meant keeping extremely dangerous people on our soil. Now we don’t wait. We expel and we wait to see what the court is going to say. The consequence of that is indeed a fine,” he said.

Up to 1,600 Migrants Arriving in Los Angeles Every Week.

Like New York City and Chicago before it, Los Angeles is beginning to be overrun by the Joe Biden-engineered migrant crisis, with Coalition for Humane Immigrant Rights (CHIRLA) executive director Angelica Salas saying “we have between 1,000 and 1,600 people” arriving “every week”. The City of The Angels is “an immigrant city,” she added.

The Los Angeles City Council voted to make LA a “sanctuary city” for migrants as recently as June, and as with other Democrat-run “sanctuary cities” conservatives in Texas and other frontier states have begun taking them at their word by busing illegal aliens to their jurisdictions.

For now, bused migrants are still “a minority” of the arrivals LA is dealing with, according to Salas, with most still being “people who come through the California border and who walk here or get here on their own”.

While activists like Salas are for now still sympathetic to the migrants, working-class Californians are beginning to feel the negative effects of their presence, with hotel bosses accused of hiring them, possibly in violation of labor laws, to replace local workers striking for better pay and conditions.

64% of New Yorkers Say Biden Caused Migrant Crisis.

A large majority of New York voters blame Joe Biden for the escalating migrant crisis, with 84 percent of respondents characterizing the situation as a serious problem, and 57 percent declaring it as a “very” serious issue. Only 12 percent of those surveyed believe the issue is not severe. The study further unveils that Biden’s handling of the migrant surge is disapproved by 64 percent of voters, while only 29 percent gave their approval.

New York has seen an influx of tens of thousands of migrants, hurting Biden’s popularity in the traditionally Democrat-leaning state. Siena College pollster Steve Greenberg stressed Democrats, Republicans, independents, men, women, upstaters, downstaters, black people, white people, Latinos, Catholics, Jews, and Protestants all regard the crisis as a serious issue.

Sixty-four percent of voters agree that New York should work to “slow the flow” of migrants from the border, as opposed to the 29 percent who believe the state should welcome and help assimilate them. Additionally, 54 percent of voters surveyed regarded migration as more of a burden than a benefit.

New York City Mayor Eric Adams, who used to push “sanctuary” policies and celebrated when Biden halted border wall construction, now says the migrant crisis “will destroy” the Big Apple if it continues.

Over 1,600 African Boat Migrants Flood Spanish Islands.

More than 1,600 boat migrants from sub-Saharan Africa reached Europe by way of Spain’s Canary Islands over the weekend, with a record-breaking 321 migrants arriving on a single vessel on Saturday.

The islands off the north-west of Africa, popular with expatriates and tourists from Britain and Germany, have seen around 23,500 migrants land on their shores since January. Much of the influx has been concentrated in recent months, with 8,561 arriving in the first two weeks of October. Arrivals are currently up around 90 percent on last year overall.

Once they reach Spanish soil and claim asylum, boat migrants are often able to move on to Continental Europe, where they have mostly unfettered access to the European Union’s borderless Schengen travel area. There is also little to stop them from making a second voyage to the United Kingdom, as the British authorities do not as a matter of policy ever turn back boat migrants at sea, and often actually help them to complete their journeys.

Migrants have also been reaching Europe by taking boats directly to the Spanish mainland, or by breaking through the border barriers around the Spanish exclaves of Ceuta and Melilla, bordering Morocco. Further east, even more migrants have been reaching Europe via Italy, and Greece, bordering Turkey, has also seen an increase in border crossings on land and at sea.

Anti-Immigration Party Wins Big in Swiss Elections.

The Swiss People’s Party (SVP) has taken a clear first place in Switzerland’s federal elections, performing even better than pollsters had predicted and coming close to equalling their best-ever election result.

Increasing its share of the vote from 25.6 percent to 28.6 percent – close to 29.4 percent it scored in 2015 – the SVP ran on a strong anti-mass migration platform, running an ad campaign with the strapline ‘New normal?’ highlighting deadly stabbings and other crimes committed by migrants in recent years.

The SVP also stressed the importance of Switzerland’s historic neutrality, suggesting this has been undermined as the country has given in to pressure to participate in the sanctions war on Russia led by Joe Biden and the European Union. (Switzerland is not an EU member, and the SVP is strongly opposed to joining.)

“Drag queens, antifas and climate activists are all going to vote! At the polls, they could ruin Switzerland and our society. We won’t let them!” the populist party had declared in a final rallying cry before the polls opened.

As in many European countries, however, placing first in an election does not guarantee a party the driving seat in government in Switzerland. While the SVP has voiced its hope that other conservative-leaning parties in the country will work with them to address voters’ “worry about an explosion of the population” due to immigration, it is likely the so-called “center-right” will co-ordinate with the second-placed Social Democrats to ensure a coalition government does not execute a truly populist agenda.

Britain is Paying The Hotel Bills of Afghans Living in Pakistan.

The British government, which has already imported over 20,000 Afghans to the United Kingdom following Joe Biden’s botched withdrawal from Kabul, is footing the hotel bills of thousands more in Pakistan as they await their chance to be imported too.

Around 3,000 Afghans eligible for resettlement in Britain are believed to be in Islamabad, the Pakistani capital, as the British government had ceased chartering flights and begun asking migrants to arrange their own housing in Britain before arriving. What the British government has been doing, however, is paying for them to live in Pakistani hotels – a service it has also been providing to illegal migrants in Britain itself, at a cost of roughly £8 million (~$10 million) per day.

With the Pakistani government having now ordered Afghans in the country illegally to leave or face deportation starting in November, British deep state diplomats are urging the government to accelerate the process of bringing these Afghans to the United Kingdom. The British government appears ready to comply, and has now waived the requirement for Afghans in Pakistan to arrange their own housing.

At least some of the Afghans imported to Britain already were on watch lists or had previously been deported from the country, but the British government has refused to provide exact numbers in case they result in Afghans being stigmatized.

U.S. Govt Asylum Officer is Former Palestinian Spox Who Promoted Hamas.

A U.S. Asylum Officer tasked with deciding who should be granted legal status in America celebrated the Hamas attacks on Israel by posting pictures of armed terrorists paragliding into the Jewish State.

Nejwa Ali worked as a public affairs officer for the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) before she was hired by the Department of Homeland Security to adjudicate asylum claims for U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS). She described herself as “American born, Palestinian [at] heart” on her social media, which was filled with anti-Israel rhetoric.

“Palestine will be free one day. F*** APARTHEID Israel and any Israeli that supports that bulls***. F*** you, may Allah forgive you. and spare us the crocodile tears, I sure as hell give zero f***s,” Ali wrote in one Instagram post.

“F*** Israel and any Jew that supports Israel,” she said in a similar Facebook post.

Elsewhere, Ali declared “Israeli, American privilege is disgusting,” and that she “hold[s] every Israeli accountable for their governments [sic] actions, IF they do not speak against Israel.”

USCIS insisted “applicants seeking employment with USCIS are thoroughly vetted and subject to extensive security and background checks before they can receive a permanent position with the agency” when asked about Ali.

It is unclear whether this is a lie, given her previous employment and social media activity, or if USCIS was aware of her behavior and hired her anyway.

Egypt Threatens to Send a Million Gazans to Europe.

Egypt is stridently refusing to take in Palestinian refugees, and has warned the European Union (EU) it will send Europe a million Gazans if they are pressured into opening their border – despite accepting billions in financial assistance from the bloc.

“You want us to take one million people? Well, I am going to send them to Europe. You care about human rights so much – well, you take them,” a senior but so far unnamed Egyptian official told one of his European counterparts this week, according to Britain’s Daily Telegraph newspaper.

This follows King Abdullah II of Jordan insisting there would be “no refugees in Jordan, no refugees in Egypt” at a press conference in Germany.

Egypt’s population has exploded from around 27 million in 1960 to roughly 110 million today, so taking in a million Gazans would not present any serious issues for the country in terms of its demographics or age structure. They would also pose fewer cultural and social issues than in Europe, as both Gazans and Egyptians are predominantly Arabic-speaking Sunni Muslims.

Nevertheless, it is leftist politicians in small European nations even outside the EU, such as Humza Yousaf in Scotland, who seem most keen on taking in Palestinians.

“In the past, people in Scotland and across the UK have opened our hearts and our homes; we’ve welcomed those from Syria, from Ukraine, and many other countries… we must do so again,” said the First Minister – roughly equivalent to a U.S. state governor – whose in-laws are currently in Gaza.

Massachusetts Democrat Governor: ‘We’re Running Out of Room to House Migrants’.

The Democrat Governor of Massachusetts, Maura Healey, has warned the state no longer has the resources nor space to house migrants in its emergency shelter system. The Bay State is expected to reach maximum capacity within the next two weeks.

“We are not ending the right-to-shelter law… We are being very clear, though, that we are not going to be able to guarantee placement for folks who are sent here after the end of this month,” Governor Healey stated during a recent press conference.

“I want to assure you that we will continue to engage, assess, and serve every family who appeals for help as best we can,” she added.

The number of families housed in the state’s shelter system has doubled over the past 12 months to 7,000. The total number of people in the accommodation is now above 21,000, 50 percent of whom are migrants. Massachusetts officials expected those figures to exceed 7,500 families comprising 24,000 people by the end of the month.

The Bay State has become increasingly attractive to a large number of migrants as it is the only state required by law to provide shelter to homeless families following the implementation of the 1983 “right-to-shelter” law.

Last month, Governor Healey was forced to declare a state of emergency and deploy the state’s national guard to assist in dealing with the recent influx of migrants into Massachusetts.
