Biden Regime Illegally Holding Migrants For 30 Days+, Where’s AOC?

President Joe Biden’s asylum policies have forced migrants to remain in US Customs and Border Protection (CBP) facilities far longer than is permitted. Migrants should be held no longer than 72 hours according to US policy, yet many are staying in facilities on America’s southern border for up to 30 days.

There has, so far, been no sign of Congresswoman Alexandra Ocasio-Cortes, who famously cried at a fence leading up to a parking lot near a migrant holding facility in 2019.

A whopping 1,000 of the 10,000 migrants recently in CBP facilities were there for at least ten days, despite the Department of Homeland Security establishing new facilities, including a new tent complex to accommodate the increased number of migrants. One Homeland Security official even told CNN, “[w]e’re not built to do this.”

Border officials argue that the combination of new policies and limited resources are the main catalysts for the delays. The Biden regime instituted policies earlier this year intended to “expedite” the asylum process, such as requiring migrants to remain in CBP custody for their “credible fear interviews.” Yet, the requirement to remain in custody throughout – coupled with Biden allowing roughly 43,000 migrants to cross the border every month – has meant that decision-making capacity has slowed dramatically.

“At times, certain circumstances – which could include the need to transfer individuals laterally due to overcrowding – could extend the amount of time individuals spend in CBP’s custody,” a CBP spokesman announced following the news.

The US southern border was subject to an “invasion” after former President Donald Trump’s pandemic policy, known as Title 42, expired in May this year.

Near 1000 Migrants March to U.S. Border Under Venezuelan Flag.

Close to 1,000 illegal aliens who entered Mexico from Guatemala have banded together under a Venezuelan flag and are marching up a highway on the U.S. southern border, even being escorted by the Mexican National Guard.

“We just want to move forward, to fulfill our American dream and work, because we’re all workers here,” claimed a migrant who gave her name as Roseli Gloria in comments to the Associated Press. The Employers’ Confederation of the Mexican Republic (Coparmex) recently reported that some 75 percent of the businesses they represent have unfilled vacancies, however.

Encounters between the U.S. authorities and migrants remain near record highs, and are significantly up on 2022. An expected further surge after President Joe Biden allowed Donald Trump-era Title 42 restrictions on illegal immigration to expire has so far failed to materialize, possibly due to the administration hastily assembling a package of replacement restrictions to forestall an embarrassing crisis ahead of an election year.

This has coincided with a wave of resignations among Biden’s top border officials, several of whom were openly pro-migration.

Illegal Migrant Gets Life Sentence for Raping 9-Year-Old.

Gerson Fuentes, a 28-year-old illegal migrant from Guatemala who raped and impregnated a nine-year-old girl in Indiana, has been handed a life sentence, with a requirement to serve 25-30 years before he becomes eligible for parole. Judge Julie Lynch hinted she wanted to give Fuentes a firmer sentence, accepting a plea bargain at the request of the victim’s family to spare her from having to testify but calling it a “very hard pill for this court to swallow.”

“Anyone who’s ever been in this courtroom for the last 20 years knows how this court feels about these babies, young people, being violated,” the judge said. “However, today, by the request of the family, this court will be sentencing without comment – and everyone knows how hard that’s going to be, because the court considers this the worst of [offenses].”

Fuentes, who was the boyfriend of his victim’s mother, came to national attention due to the girl having to travel out of state for an abortion. This became widely known as a result of her doctor disclosing her situation to the press after the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade. The doctor was later reprimanded for violating patient privacy laws.
